Text-matching entire tooltips and 12 new Item Augments!

🎯 [New Item Augments] 12 new Item Augments have been added. These are all related to drone/summon builds.
🎯 [Misc] All regex string matching fields now allow matching against all text in item tooltips.
🎯 [UI] Weapon attack speed (time between shots) is now shown in the basic tooltip.
🎯 [Balance] The difficulty has been slightly increased across all game modes.
🎯 [Balance] Grand Continuum Events are now a fair bit more difficult.
🎯 [Balance] All damage-type augments now also apply to on-board turrets.
🎯 [Balance] Item skill requirements have been reduced by 50% to more easily allow dual/multi-specs.
🎯 [Performance] All item filter tests for items in world-space have been moved to a secondary thread. This should remove any previous occasional lag related to, e.g., expensive regex filters in combination with large loot drops.

Grand Continuum Events and Act 4 open beta!

🎯 [Grand Continuum Events] Grand Continuum Events have now been added to the game. These events are available in Continuum XL.
🎯 [Sound effects] It is now possible to toggle enemy death sounds (default:on). This setting is located in the Audio section of the main menu options.
🎯 [Balance] Reduced the aggro modifier of enemy summons.
🎯 [Balance] The damage of the background fire trap has been reduced by 50%.
🎯 [Misc] Set items affixes are no longer removed when fragments that re-roll item properties are used.
🎯 [Misc] The Act 4 test branch has been unlocked for anyone to try. To play the open beta, do the following:

  1. Right-click the Nienix icon in your Steam library
  2. Click "Properties"
  3. Click "BETAS"
  4. Select "beta - Test branch"
  5. Have fun playing!

Before you enable the Act 4 test build, make sure to backup your save game folder (/Data/Save/). When you have passed level 40 with a character, the corresponding save wont be applicable to the regular build anymore.

The Act 4 test branch contains the following updates:
  • You can explore Act 4. This act includes 60 new enemies and four campaign bosses.
  • You can level up to 60.
  • You can unlock (and complete) the Continuum XL mode, which contains various changes to the core game experience.
  • As a bonus, a completely new game mode called "Fleet Commander" is included. This mode lets you battle an AI or friend in an RTS-like auto-battler. I'm unsure if this game mode will make it into the final release. Please let me know what you think!

When you begin playing the Act 4 build, the Continuum Mode will be locked. Don't panic: all your progress, unlocked waypoints and such are still there. However, you need to finish Act 4 first. At that point, Continuum Mode will be unlocked and your progress during Continuum Mode made available.

To enter Act 4, complete the final mission in Act 3.

Set items!

🎯 [Set Items] Set items have been added! There are a total of 15 sets included in the patch. These can drop for Mythic-grade items. Their drop rate is significantly increased during Continuum XL, especially towards the end, as well as in Continuum Events (based on their difficulty).
🎯 [New Skill] Phased Deflectors (Founders): Damage taken from a single hit can at most inflict X% of your max hull. Your hull regeneration is reduced by Y%.
🎯 [UI] Polished UI indicators of various kinds.
🎯 [UI] Some biomes in Act 3 has been brightened.
🎯 [Recipe] Continuum Transmuter recipes have been added that allows moving a set between items, as well as remove set modifiers from an item.
🎯 [Balance] The bonus damage cap has been increased to 1000% (up from 400%).
🎯 [Balance] Drone hull has been increased.
🎯 [Balance] Drone damage has been decreased.
🎯 [Bug fix] Fixed a (rare) race condition related to creating a new game when a game already is running with the inventory active.

Performance improvements and bug fixes

🎯 [Performance] Performance improvements as well as reduced content loading time due to changes to the content loading/unloading system.
🎯 [Bug fix] Changes to the content loading/unloading system to counter a few significant issues observed (infinite loading screen for clients and crashes for servers).
🎯 [Bug fix] The tails of Sentinel ships would temporarily come loose when docked to stations when playing COOP. In addition, they were also rather difficult to move/view around for COOP players. This version removes Sentinel tails entirely while docked to station platforms.
