Continuum Challenges!

🎯 [Continuum Challenges] Continuum Challenges are now available in the beta test branch from the new station platform in Reginald (waypoint 1 in Act 1)! Each challenge provide fixed player buffs such as bonus skill points when completed. Beware: If you die during the challenge, you need to restart it completely. Unlock them by completing a Continuum Event (any - you need to do this again even if you have completed a Continuum Event pre this patch).
🎯 [UI] Items are now enlarged when highlighted in the inventory/storage etc.
🎯 [Misc] A new kind of elite enemy weapon has been added.
🎯 [Balance] Elites in Continuum XL have fewer 360 degree-type weapons.
🎯 [Balance] The Founders skill "Flux Deflector" has been buffed.

🎯 [Balance] Procedural item buffs have been slightly reduced.
🎯 [Balance] Aura and condition proc-event buffs have been reduced. This applies to both current and new items.
🎯 [Balance] Health of stalking worm-type enemies has been slightly reduced.
🎯 [UI] Cleaned up the HUD tool tip for weapons that have 0 direct damage.
🎯 [Bug fix] Removed an issue that on rare occasion could cause lag spikes when playing a network game.
🎯 [Bug fix] Fixed an incorrectly unlocked door in an Uber Continuum Event.

🎯 [Balance] On-hit procs can now trigger for conditions that inflict damage (every 2 seconds).
🎯 [Misc] A new Continuum Event modifier that increase the velocity of enemy bullets has been added.
🎯 [Bug fix] Fixed an issue with some caves having semi-transparent walls given high sensor ranges.
🎯 [Bug fix] Raycast-type weapons no longer pass through walls.
🎯 [Bug fix] Fixed an incorrect faction designation for some enemies in an Uber Continuum Event.

A new Xinthu skill!

🎯 [New skill] The Xinthu tier 7 skill Experimental Catalyst has been added. If a weapon provides damage over time, its direct damage and hull repair are converted to damage over time. Attack speed is reduced by 80%.
🎯 [Balance] The "Brute Edition" weapon mod can no longer be used on purely auxiliary weapons that have 0 DPS.
🎯 [UI] Current player conditions in the UI are now sorted according to type and effectiveness.
🎯 [Misc] The setting "Networking_Max_MTU" has been added (this setting is not possible to change from within the game). Per default, the max MTU for network packets is automatically identified by the game itself. However, some users seem to have had issues with this function. A too high MTU can cause various weird behavior when playing multiplayer, such as lag and infinite loading screens. If you experience such events when playing multiplayer, try setting Networking_Max_MTU to 1200. I.e., add 1200 to ../game_root/Data/config.cfg.
🎯 [Performance] Greatly increased performance when playing with builds that produce lots of bullets.
🎯 [Bug fix] Fixed an error related to changing skins for Sentinel-type ships.
🎯 [Bug fix] Fixed an error related to using follow-type weapons on fixed weapon points when using Sentinel-type ships.

Misc update

🎯 [Bug fix] Reworked the content loading/unloading system. It is much more stable than previously, which should be especially evident when playing multiplayer.
🎯 [Balance] The Hull of Axiom Smashers has been reduced; their damage has been increased.
