New sound effects, sprites and changes for summons

🎯 [UI] Updated the sprites of some enemies in Act 1.
🎯 [Sound] Many new weapon sound effects have been added.
🎯 [Misc] Summons now follow directions given by Targeting Systems better.
🎯 [Misc] Summons can now spawn below large ships, instead of at its edges. This reduces the issue of summons spawning out-of-bounds when using really large ships in dungeon maps.
🎯 [Balance] The attack speed debuff of the Xinthu T7 skill "Experimental Catalyst" now scales with player level.
🎯 [Bug fix] Fixed a bug with several Continuum Transmuter recipes that was introduced by a patch a few weeks ago.
🎯 [Bug fix] Fixed a bug that could cause some entities to turn invisible when being loaded from a previously unloaded sector.

In-game encyclopedia, major UI updates, new skills and items!

🎯 [Encyclopedia] An in-game encyclopedia that contains descriptions of all item types that have been obtained has been added. Access it through the inventory.
🎯 [Skill] The Imperius T3 skill "Glacial Strike" has been added: Frost-based fixed-point weapons are {0}% less effective at freezing enemies. In return, they apply a debuff that decreases Frost resistance by {1}% of the reduced amount.
🎯 [Skill] The Founders T7 skill "Skill Shot" has been buffed.
🎯 [New Continuum Entity] Un Fragment: Upgrades the grade of an item from uncommon to epic.
🎯 [New Continuum Entity] Ep Fragment: Upgrades the grade of an item from epic to artifact.
🎯 [UI] Many/most weapon and auxiliary item sprites have been replaced or updated.
🎯 [UI] Weapon mod descriptions have been revised.
🎯 [UI] There is now a UI indicator whenever an elite enemy dialogue is played that indicate the direction of the enemy. This indicator is only shown if the enemy is outside of camera. It can be disabled by unchecking the "Show hints and tips" checkbox in the general section of the main menu.
🎯 [Misc] Champion+ enemies now have unique summons that depend on their faction.
🎯 [Misc] The "Bulk" loot pickup option now also picks up consumables.
🎯 [Misc] Several maps in the Act 2 are now less dense.
🎯 [Misc] A specific item class has now been created for sensor-type auxiliary items. Transmuting these items should thus provide more expected results.
🎯 [Balance] Larger ships and sentinels now have a fixed bonus to sensor range rather than a percentage.

New skill and major changes for summons and ship turrets!

🎯 [Skill] Armament Transformer, an Axiom T7 skill, has been added: {0}% of all fixed-weapon bonuses to damage, attack speed, crit chance and crit multiplier are converted to ship turret bonuses. Additionally, ship turret damage is increased by {1}%.
🎯 [Misc] Ship turrets and modded summons (including non-modded cloner-type summons) now have their shooting range calculated based on their equipped weapons.
🎯 [Misc] Station D-5 in Act 1 has been enlarged.
🎯 [Misc] The pickup radius of consumables has been enlarged.
🎯 [Balance] Most summons now support most weapon-type mods (including the follow-mod). This includes all Hangar-type summons, that previously could not drop with a mod.
🎯 [Balance] Cloner-type summons can receive any weapon mod (albeit some mods are not supported by some weapons).

Damage over time Active Auxiliaries!

🎯 [New item type] A new kind of Active Auxiliary item has been added. This kind of item generates an area of effect in the direction of the cursor when used.
🎯 [New item] P-2 Fire Ordnance: Generates a Fire aura at the cursor.
🎯 [New item] T-1 Corrosive Ordnance: Generates a Corrosive aura at the cursor.
🎯 [New item] F-5 Lightning Ordnance: Generates a Lightning Storm aura at the cursor.

🎯 [Bug fix] Fixed an issue related to moving between portal with some kinds of summons. In particular, a worm-type summon could loose its tail.

🎯 [Bug fix] Fixed an issue that on (very) rare occasions could cause broken physics/softlocks for client players when playing COOP.

End of Early Access: 24th of March 2023!

[h2]I am thrilled to announce that Nienix will exit Early Access in less than two months! [/h2]

The features that were originally planned for Early Access were extended quite a bit based on community feedback (and there is still time left... :-)). I'm very grateful to all of you for contributing - both Nienix and the dev process would have been way less fun without you!



Being out of Early Access does not mean that the development of the game will stop. It simply means that the features that I indented for Early Access have been accomplished. I plan to add new content for many more years to come. A few things that come to mind are:

🎯 New items, item mods, item sets and skills.
🎯 New end-game challenges.
🎯 Changes to current content based on player feedback.
🎯 Making modding easier by giving everyone access to the world editors.

[h3] 17th of February 2023: 15 USD -> 20 USD[/h3]
As is described on the store page, the price of the game will be increased when the game exits Early Access. More specifically, the price will be increased from 15 USD to 20 USD. The new recommended Steam pricing tool will also be employed, which will further adjust the price for some currencies. The price increase will be made on the 17th of February 2023. The change is made a month prior to release as there is a 1 month sales cooldown on Steam after adjusting the price - there will be a sale starting on the release day.

[h3]Continuum Challenges[/h3]
🎯 Continuum Challenges are end-game challenges that when accomplished provide fixed player buffs such as bonus skill points. If you die during a challenge, you need to restart it (dissimilar to Continuum Events). Unlock them by completing a Continuum Event.


[h3]Quality-of-life[/h3]
🎯 Many user interfaces have been revised. For example, a text search field has been added to the Continuum Transmuter and items are enlarged when highlighted in the inventory.
🎯 Most enemies now have random weapon cooldowns when they spawn. This change was made to create more dynamic engagements.
🎯 Performance has been significantly increased when there are lots of bullets active.
🎯 Systems related to multiplayer have been reworked. Playing multiplayer should now be a lot more stable and smooth.


[h3]Skills[/h3]
🎯 The Xinthu tier 7 skill Experimental Catalyst has been added. If a weapon provides damage over time, its direct damage and hull repair are converted to damage over time. Attack speed is reduced by 80%.
🎯 The Imperius skill "Halt!" has been revised. It now works as follows: Enemies hit by your fixed-point Frost weapons have {0}% chance to receive reduced resistance to all elements by {1}% for {2} seconds.
