0.4.472 - Achievements, Covenant Tooltip, Balance!

In this update, we added 35 achievements for you to complete! And we will definitely add more in future updates. We also added a new in-game Covenant Tooltip in case you do not remember what you have unlocked/active in your Covenant trees. One new elite ally, and some balance tweaks as usual.

General
  • Steam Achievements added.
Quality of Life changes
  • While in-game you can now hover over your Covenant Flag to see what perks are unlocked/active.
Events
  • Some events are now unique and can’t be repeated (Dragonslayer, Bonus Skulls, The Escape).
Cards
Common
  • To Battle!+ bonus Attack Power reduced 3 --- 2.
  • To Battle!+ now also gives Attack Power (1) to Noma.
Elite Allies
  • New elite Ally: Fateweaver Arasha. Active: randomly applies Ward or deals high Fixed damage to ANY other target. Cooldown (4).
Talents
  • Fire Nova - now randomly applies from (1) to (2) Burnings instead of always applying Burning (2).
Enemies
ACT 2
  • Terrific Spider (elite) - health increased 21 --- 23.

ACT 3
  • Fiery Projection (elite) - starting damage increased 7 --- 8.
Known Issues
  • Z-fighting of the cards in hand still not beaten.

0.4.421 - Current Run Saves are here! New Cards!

Since the release day, many of you gave us feedback that the Current Run Save feature is a must-have one. And it really is! One session might be quite long, so losing its progress was really frustrating. Well, now it is live and you should not worry about losing your run’s progress anymore.
We also added a couple of new cards and made a big Burning change. It no longer has a Piercing component inside, meaning that you (and your enemies) can now defend from it using Armor. Check out the full changelog below:

Quality of Life changes
  • Added Current Run Saves. Saves work automatically at the start of each point and on the Adventure Map so you should not worry about losing your run’s progress anymore.
  • Added custom health text color if it is not full.
General
  • Burning no longer Pierces Armor.
Cards
Common
  • New Card: Counter-Attack - Deals damage. Mana cost is reduced each time Hero takes damage.
  • New Summon Card: Wounded Deserter. Joins battle harmed, but has high max HP.
  • Peacekeeper health increased 4 --- 5.
  • Peacekeeper+ health increased 6 --- 7.
  • Urgent Defense armor gain increased 3 --- 4.

Rare
  • New Card: Heal the Weak - Heals any non-Hero ally for a moderate amount. Exhaust.
  • New Card: Rearm - draw 4 cards. Exhaust.
  • Fixed a mistake that Card Goliath summon card never drops.
Elite Allies
  • Hundred Needles health increased 25 --- 27.
Trinkets
Common
  • Fixed Lucky Rabbit Foot could block the game if found with all cards upgraded.

Rare
  • Fireheart Fireblasts now have Exhaust.

Legendary
  • Living gift reworked - now provides a random upgraded Hero card each turn.
Enemies
ACT 1
  • Disinfector health increased 11 --- 13.

ACT 3
  • Armor Eater (elite) - health reduced 55 --- 30.
  • Armor Eater (elite) - armor increased 120 --- 140.
Small mistakes
  • Fixed Defender sprite could overcome Speech Bubble.

0.4.301 - Tutorial added, new content, balance.

This patch focuses on two QoL features: Tutorial and Speech Bubbles, as well as a little bit of new content and last boss changes.
  • The tutorial is meant to help newer players to get into some unique mechanics the game has such as attack dodging.
  • Speech Bubbles is just something that was really needed. It helps to understand why specific action can not be done, for example when trying to play 2 mana card with only one mana left - Hero will say that more mana is needed. We are really happy with what we did. Also, the same bubbles will be used for story interaction in future updates.
  • We are also adding two new talents, a legendary card, and a trinket to spice up combinations a little bit.
  • Act 3 boss changes. We wanted to make sure the last boss is not just "big numbers" but also requires some tactic to defeat it.
  • And some balance changes! Check out the full changelog below.

  • Added Mini Tutorial at the start of the first game.
  • Mini Tutorial can be also opened by clicking on How to Play in the Quick Menu.
  • Added Speech Bubbles that indicate why you can’t perform an action.

  • Random Cargo’s bodyguard stats increased 1/5 --- 2/5.

  • Underbelly healing reduced 10 --- 5.

  • New card: Fleeing Citizen. Battlecry: refresh your Elites' active skill cooldowns.

  • Robber Good stats increased 5/2 --- 6/3.
  • Heat up! mana cost increased 3 --- 4.

Common
  • Prismatic Bulwark reworked - now when Hero is healed - deals 2 fixed damage to a random enemy twice.
  • Prismatic Bulwark is a Shop only trinket now.
  • Golden Tooth now also provides one additional Shop reroll.
  • Golden Tooth shop discount reduced 30% --- 25%.
  • Incense now also provides Regeneration (1).

Rare
  • New trinket: Fireheart. At the start of each battle adds two Fireblasts to your hand.
  • Portable Black Hole Attack Power reduction increased 1 --- 2.
Talents
  • New high-level talent: Infestation. Hero gains Attack Power (1) and takes 4 Piercing damage at the start of each turn.
  • New high-level talent: Mana Funnel. Hero spends 4 mana to permanently buff all your active Elites for +1/+2 at the start of each battle.
  • Balance of Power is a low-level talent now.
  • Heavy Cinder is a low-level talent now.
  • Heavy Cinder damage reduced 5 --- 3.
  • Blood-soaked additional component reworked - now instead of healing has a 20% chance to gain Attack Power (1).
  • Voracious now also heals for (1) when triggered.
  • Final Countdown damage increased 3 --- 4.

ACT 2
  • Gold Addict gold steal reduced 5 --- 3.
  • Greed’s (elite) adds attack damage reduced 10 --- 8.
  • General Big Boy (elite) single-target attack damage increased 20 --- 23.

ACT 3

0.4.158 - QoL and balance changes.

This update includes a couple of big game flow, balance, and Quality of Life changes.
Most of it based on your feedback, for example, we decreased the difficulty of elite battles in ACT 1, added buffs that show what enemies actually do, increased the power of common attack cards, and much more! Check the full changelog below.


General
  • Fixed an issue that led to exactly the same battle two times in a row.
  • The first Hire camp in ACT 1 will now always appear after the first battle.
  • Bonus Skulls for the victory increased 500 --- 1000.
  • Rest location now fully heals elite units.
  • Finishing an act now fully heals elite units.
  • Noma’s health increased 30 - 40.
  • Cards drawn at the start of each battle reduced 6 --- 5
  • Cards drawn each turn increased 2 --- 3.
Quality of Life changes
  • Multiple descriptions and tooltips changed to be more comprehensive.
  • Added informative buffs to the enemies who have unique abilities or patterns.
  • Added tooltips to the trinkets’ keywords in the reward screen and shop.

  • Skull price of all Card Pack perks reduced.

Northstar
  • Skull price of several Northstar perks reduced to make progression smoother.
  • Chilling party renamed to Cold Fighter’s Wisdom
  • Cold Fighter’s Wisdom now gives 2 Experience at the start of each run.
  • Cold Fighter’s Wisdom no longer provides 5 additional health to Elite allies (baseline Elites’ HP increased to compensate).

Enclave
  • Enclave’s Blessing renamed to Magnate’s Enterprise.
  • Magnate’s Enterprise no longer gives 2 Experience.
  • Magnate’s Enterprise now generates 5-10 gold at the start of each battle.
  • Insurance heal reduced 2 --- 1.

Cult
  • Vessels Burst renamed to Cultist’s Rage.
  • Cultist’s Rage damage increased 2 --- 3.

  • Chance to find common cards in Acts 2 and 3 reduced.

  • Value Town fixed a mistake that led to a very small drop chance of this card.
  • SDAT Heavy Assault attack damage increased 4 --- 6.

  • Legendary trinkets now may be presented in ACT 3 shops.

  • Jokers trinket temporarily removed.
  • Fixed an issue when Lucky Rabbit Foot would not do anything if you just leveled up.
  • Charging rune bonus Attack Power reduced 2 --- 1.

Rare
  • Cube if Ice cooldown reduction increased 1 --- 2.
  • Mana Globe renamed to Serenity Globe.
  • Serenity Globe rarity changed rare --- legendary.
  • Serenity Globe now also heals Hero for 20 on pickup.
  • Execution Magazine reworked - now when an ally dies you have an equal chance to either draw or card or heal for 1.
  • Portable Black Hole reworked - now deals 5 fixed damage to a random enemy and reduces their Attack Power by 1 at the start of each battle.

Legendary
  • Ring of Thorns now also provides Tenacity (1).
Talents
  • Heavy Cinder damage increased 4 --- 5.
  • Recklessness renamed to Well-Armed.
  • Well-Armed now also provides 1 Attack Power.
  • Imp Mother stats increased 4/12 --- 5/13.
  • Bloodbath - renamed to Blood-soaked.
  • Blood-soaked now also heals your Hero for (1) when any unit dies.
  • Seraphim chance to get Ward when healed reduced 100% --- 50%.
