Freedom: How I Escaped News

UPDATE 1.09

In this update we focus on the movement system and some other features suggested by players on the forum.

Changes:

1 - Control system: we follow the feedback left in the forum discussions, and with this update, the orientation of the movement is now referenced by the camera, bringing less confusion and disorientation.

2 - Skip game over scene: We have also implemented a feature that allows you to skip the animation when the player is found pressing any key, jumping straight to the level reset.

3 - The game now has three audio channels:
Music
Environmental Sound (Crickets)
Sound effects
They can be adjusted separately.

4 - User interface improvements

5 - The controlle support is being tested. The current configuration should allow the player to move around and activate the level devices via the controller.
Left joystick - Movement
West Button - Device activation
South button - Pause
We remind you that the system is definitely not ready yet and we invite everyone to leave feedback for improvement or change in the system.

6 - Correction of minor bugs.

Did you like the changes? tell us in the forum discussions, your feedback is very important to improve the game!

Best Regards

UPDATE 1.05

We are launching our second update.
This minor update is still resolving some minor bugs, and we've improved the game interface a bit to prepare for the next major updates.

This first week constituted a very important phase of collecting feedback from the players. This information is of great importance in our process of evolving and improving the game.

Based on the reports we had, we noticed that some players did not like and had problems with the character control system, so we opened a new discussion channel and we want to invite you to help us with the new character control system that we intend to implement. How do you think it should be? Why do you think that?

Please tell us on this new channel.

With that, we have plans in the next update to bring this new system implemented and new levels more challenging.
Best Regards.

Update 1.0

Today we made our first update after interacting with player feedback, our focus was on solving some problems that we did not detect in the internal tests.

List of changes:
- Resolution of minor bugs;
- Review of the entire security camera detection system (making it more accurate);
- Rebalancing some elements of the levels based on player feedback;
- Implementation of a hidden silhouette system to improve the identification of the player's position in non-visible areas.

We hope that these small changes will improve gameplay.
We are still working on suggestions and problems reported by the feedbacks, and soon we will have new levels and improvements.

Did you like the update?
