Steam Achievements - Patch 7.3

Heroes of Sherwood, Patch 7.3 is live with steam achievements, performance improvements, and bugfixes! This is the final patch before the 1.0 release with Level Editor on April 29. 🎯

  • Added 18 Steam Achievements
  • Major performance optimizations for GPU and CPU
  • Fixed co-op client chicken jetpack pushing down
  • Fixed co-op client get chest when host dead gets stuck
  • Fixed co-op quests only work on player that started it
  • Fixed co-op speed lines/heartbeat on host after restart
  • Fixed jump particle not showing in some cases
  • Fixed broken gems on sherwood forest zipline

Free Demo Expiring - Patch 7.2

Heroes of Sherwood, Patch 7.2 is live with quality of life updates and bugfixes! In preparation for the 1.0 release with Level Editor on April 29, the free demo is expiring on April 22. 🎯

  • Tuned announcer/kill streak volume, frequency, order, end-game
  • Fixed super mushroom collision
  • Disabled sideways flipping when co-op riding
  • Made default flip backflip instead of frontflip
  • Reduced damage of spinning blade and railsaw traps
  • Made ziplines and swing ropes thicker
  • Health potion heals all nearby players
  • Fixed spacebar in any 2D hideout UI breaks game
  • Updated CJ button and UI cursor/hover
  • Replaced art for level portals
  • Various level editor improvements

Chicken Jetpack 7.0 - Major Update

Heroes of Sherwood, introducing CJ the Chicken Jetpack in Update 7.0! 💥

- Fixed save game purchased items deleted
- Fixed co-op melee attack on client
- Fixed co-op client horde continue gets stuck on black screen
- Fixed co-op client stuck on cannons
- Fixed ragdoll collision behavior
- Fixed aim cancel when exiting zipline/swing rope
- Fixed reaper stays still when repeatedly shot
- Fixed AI stand still after melee attack
- Bosses (+reaper) points accurately show in crosshair text
- Boomer goblin will always count as explosion kill
- Fixed zipline enter/exit/re-enter smooth transition with better momentum
- Fixed zipline animation hand offset
- Fixed default cape auto-equipping
- Fixed popping shop item rotation/icon on hover
- Fixed save on skin material change and restart level
- Fixed AI rotation pops and jitter
- Fixed save issues with skill tree and skin change
- Fixed co-op not unlocking next level
- Reduced co-op jitter for zipline and riding
- Fixed co-op client timer icon staying on death
- Fixed DLC level spawning incorrectly
- Fixed getting stuck in Hideout menus
- Fixed reaper trail particle weirdness
- Fixed arrow trail disappear on hit enemy/barrel
- Fixed arrow trail piece detached from arrow
- Fixed melee attack while shield dashing in air
- Other runtime errors and crashes

[h3]Updates[/h3]
- Added Nottingham to demo
- Lava bounces and deals damage instead of instant kill
- Enemies can no longer blow up barrels
- Bosses (+reaper) don't give bonus combo (to prevent killing bosses before minions)
- Reduced reaper points 20/30->10/13 to match bosses (but is now affected by combo)
- Adjusted sniper crosshair visual
- Reduced motion blur in slow-mo 0.75 -> 0.25
- Improved zipline vertical blending and momentum
- Reduced memory usage by 12% for all levels
- Tuned and added Hideout UI/portal sounds and lore texts
- Adjusted Peaky Isles fog, Hideout ripple particles, Horde blimp start
- Lava river added and removed ziplines in first half
- Adjusted crossbow position/rotation in weapons shop
- Improved arrow sounds, announcer sounds, enemy hit sounds/UI
- Adjusted slow-mo and freecam post process
- Sped up Hideout menu transitions/play button
- Improved portal enter camera transition
- Minor collision changes to avoid getting stuck in levels

[h3]Known Issues[/h3]
We're working on many known issues, including:
- Co-op issues with joining and jitter
- Rare crash when using shop
- Please report any others on Discord
