Fremennik enjoyers will be pleased to hear that Blast Furnace automation has been enabled on all Leagues Worlds – so there are no specific ones for Blast Furnace.

When you arrive in Gielinor you’ll find yourself as a brand-new Iron player in Lumbridge, with the Misthalin and Karamja regions available to explore. You’ll have all the usual starting stats plus enough levels in Herblore, Agility and Runecraft to let you start training. With free Dramen Staff in hand, you’re ready to start taking on tasks, choosing your Relics, and unlocking new regions!

You’ll have boosted XP rates throughout the League, so you’ll soon catch up to your favourite activities.

If you’re undecided about which area to unlock first, check out this handy infographic from the endlessly talented GentleTractor!

Tasks

To unlock regions and gain more Relics, you’ll need League Points – and to get League Points, you’ll need to complete some tasks. These fun challenges are scattered relatively evenly across all available areas – so feel free to pick your favourites!

We’ve teamed up with the OSRS Wiki team to bring you the entire task list (https://oldschool.runescape.wiki/w/Trailblazer_Reloaded_League/Tasks) on one incredibly useful page. This makes it easy to plan your route and choose your Relics to suit your favourite tasks – remember, strategy is key!

Relics

Choosing a Tier 1 Relic is the first decision you’ll need to make. These powerful items bestow all kinds of helpful buffs and boons – but choose wisely, because they’re permanent!

To help you out, here’s a rundown of the Tier 1 Relics:

Endless Harvest
  • 2x resources gathered from Fishing, Woodcutting and Mining. Bonus resources provide bonus XP.
  • Resources gathered by this Relic are sent directly to your Bank if there’s space. Otherwise, they are placed in your Inventory.
  • Items that normally can’t be banked will be placed into your Inventory regardless of how much space you have.
Production Prodigy
  • When doing the following activities, all items are processed at once:
    • Smelting ores, Smithing bars and making Cannonballs.
    • Fletching logs, stringing Bows and cutting bolt tips.
    • Cleaning herbs and making Potions which don’t have a stackable secondary ingredient.
    • Cooking food and making Jugs of Wine.
    • Crafting leather, uncut gems, glassblowing, jewellery, pottery, Battlestaves and spinning flax or wool.
  • You’ll receive full XP for all items processed using this Relic.
  • There’s a 25% chance that you’ll make an extra product, which will be sent straight to your Bank! This additional product will also earn you XP.
  • Crafting, Smithing, Herblore, Fletching and Cooking are all boosted by +12.
Trickster
  • You will automatically re-pickpocket your target.
  • Loot from pickpocketing is doubled and noted.
  • Coin pouch limit is multiplied by 3.
  • You’ll be given the Sage’s Greaves, that grant Agility XP that scales with your Agility level while running.
  • Box traps lure creatures faster.
  • Loot from box traps is doubled.
  • Impling jars can’t break.
  • You can burn up to nine logs simultaneously.
  • You can’t fail actions for Thieving, Agility, Hunter and Firemaking.

Pretty cool, huh? Well, that’s only the first three! You can find information about the other Relics we’ve revealed so far over on the OSRS Wiki – or, you can keep it a surprise and discover the others as you rise through the ranks.

League Firsts

If playing for fun isn't enough, but you're not sure that you'll be able to stick it out and go the distance for maximum points then League Firsts might be for you!

Below are a list of a number of achievements we'll be keeping an eye on so that we can commerorate the fastest trailblazers around throughout the League. and etch their names into the annals of League history.

Rewards and Trophies

League Points aren’t just for new areas and Relics - you’ll be able to spend them on some fiery new rewards, too! From the hottest fits to the coveted League banner, from new animations to ornament kits – the Leagues Rewards Shop has it all.

As well as a new range of Trailblazer Reloaded-themed cosmetics, you can also purchase all the rewards you missed from previous Leagues. Likewise, if you have Points left over from previous Leagues, you can still spend them on new rewards!

Here's a sneak-peak at some of the animation overrides on offer this League!

To get your mitts on the goods, just hop back to the main game and speak to the Leagues Tutor in Catherby.

Please note that he’ll need a bit of time to set up his wares – to avoid nasty bugs, we’re not allowing players to purchase items from the Leagues Reward Store, or claim Trophies, until a couple of days after the League launches.

Speaking of Trophies, we’ve made some big changes this year! Our new static point threshold approach to HiScores ensures that you can be certain exactly how many League Points you need to earn each Trophy. Just like previous Leagues, there’s a Trophy for each tier on the HiScores, from basic Bronze all the way up to the coveted Dragon tier.

To make it even easier to see where you stack up, we’ve added the exact Point thresholds to your in-game Leagues menu. Take a peek!

Well, it seems we’ve nothing further to tell you. It’s time for you to gear up, put on your travellin’ boots, and head out into the wild world of Leagues IV: Trailblazer Reloaded. We can’t wait to see where you’ll go! Good luck – and have fun!

Forestry, Security & More! | November 2nd

This week’s update is scarily good! Read on for Forestry tweaks, new additions to the Stronghold of Security, a new Slayer block slot and more!

Changelog November 1st
Next week’s update will be a maintenance week, so this is our last proper update before Leagues IV: Trailblazer Reloaded launches on November 15th. We hope you’re all as excited as we are! For now, though…

[expand]
  • Forestry Tweaks
    • The bonuses from Felling Axes and the Forestry Lumberjack outfit now stack correctly.
    • Crafting Padded spoons now gives reduced XP, and the XP given is Crafting XP instead of Mining XP.
    • Budding beekeepers will now be able to build a Beehive in their Player Owned House using Sturdy Beehive Parts obtained from the Beehive event.
    • Foxes and poachers now only spawn outdoors to prevent griefing.
    • Fixed a typo in the Skills interface.
    • The description of Twitcher's Gloves now explains that they’re used on every tree cut.
    • Removed mentions of tea brewing.
    • Forester's campfires can no longer be created without using logs.
  • Jagex Accounts Benefits
    • Jagex Account holders are now eligible to claim Fancier Boots from the Stronghold of Security.
    • Count Check, a new random event, has been enabled. He'll pop up occasionally and offer an XP Lamp to players who are using a Jagex account.
  • Other Changes
    • Players with over 300 Quest Points will unlock a new Slayer block slot.
    • Planks from the Sawmill can now be placed in the Plank Sack automatically.
    • Angler and Spirit Angler outfits have had their value increased, to reduce the odds of players accidentally dropping them.
    • Certain Random Event NPCs may now follow players into the Bank.
    • Dromund's cat no longer requires you to wear a Catspeak Amulet for dialogue once you've passed the required part of Dragon Slayer II.
    • Falo the Bard will now recognise the Barrelchest Anchor (bh) if he asks you to bring him a Barrelchest Anchor.
Forestry Tweaks
Last week we released Forestry Part Two, and since then you’ve given us loads of feedback to sift through. While this week’s update aims to address a couple of smaller tweaks, we’re continuing to discuss the bigger bits of feedback we’ve received and explore what kinds of changes might be needed to ensure Forestry is in the right spot. Don’t worry – we’ll keep you all in the loop throughout this process.

We’d also like to stress that these changes won’t constitute a ‘Part Three’. We’re not looking to add more content, but to improve upon what we’ve already added to the game.

Without further ado, let’s have a look at the smaller changes we have for you this week!

Padded Spoons

If you've been active in any OSRS social media circles over the last few days, you'll no doubt have seen the bizarre, buyable, bankstandable Mining training method that involves using limestone to craft Padded spoons.

When we said we'd be taking a look at a variety of Mining methods in the near future, this wasn't quite what we had in mind... As such, crafting Padded spoons will now provide - you guessed it - Crafting XP as opposed to Mining XP, and the XP per craft has been reduced.

Beehives

Forestry’s buzziest event just got even better! As of today’s update, you’ll randomly obtain Sturdy Beehive Parts from the Beehive event, which can be used to construct a Beehive of your very own in the ‘Big Plant’ space of your Garden or Formal Garden. Of course, you’ll need a Player Owned House and the relevant rooms to do so!

You can even release the bees from your hive to let them bumble about your home, spreading joy (and pollen) before making their way back to the hive. Lovely!

Poachers Event

You’ve been perplexing those pesky poachers quite effectively, but we’ve received word that some of you have been hindering your fellow players’ efforts to free the foxes. Boo!

As a result of the frequent door-slamming at the Seers’ Village church, both foxes and poachers will stop spawning indoors. That should put a stop to the griefing and give the local clergy some much-needed peace and quiet.

Other Forestry Tweaks

We’ve also made a bunch of other changes and fixes to Forestry this week.

First up, we’ve fixed a bug where the XP bonuses from the Felling Axes weren’t stacking as expected with the Lumberjack Outfit. It turns out this was the result of an over-zealous safety measure to prevent excess XP gains, so we’ve done a bit of pruning. The issue should now be fixed, but please let us know if you notice further abnormalities!

We’ve also removed all mentions of teas and tea brewing from the descriptions of Leaves. Speaking of descriptions, we’ve updated the text on the Twitcher’s Gloves to more accurately reflect that they are a stackable item used on every tree cut.

As hilarious as the typo was, we’re afraid that the Iron ‘Feeling’ Axe is no longer mentioned in the Skill Guide.

Lastly, we’ve had a few druids contact us claiming that certain players are able to cancel their Campfire-lighting animation midway to bring forth fire from thin air, without burning a single log. Obviously this is a crime against nature, so we’ve put a stop to it. As of today’s update, lighting Campfires will always require at least one log.

That’s all for Forestry this week, but do remember that we’re working hard behind the scenes to read through your feedback and decide on some bigger changes to bring Forestry in-line with your expectations. Stay tuned for more news soon!

Jagex Accounts Benefits
As part of Cybersecurity Awareness Month in October, we shared a blog to bring you up to speed on all things Account Security – including the many benefits of Jagex Accounts.

To be totally clear, getting yourself a Jagex Account is the number one way to protect your hard-earned gains, and we absolutely encourage you to check out the blog and think about upgrading, if you haven’t already.

To sweeten the deal, we’ve introduced a couple of in-game benefits especially for Jagex Account holders. Let’s take a peek…

The Stronghold of Security and Fancier Boots

It’s a debate that’s raged since the earliest days of the game: Fighting Boots or Fancy Boots? Neither side has made much progress (although for the record, this editor is Fancy all the way!) but today, we offer you a middle ground.

Jagex Account holders will no longer have to pick a side. Instead, they can swan on down to the Stronghold of Security and get themselves some Fancier Boots. This fantastic footwear combines the vibrance of Fancy Boots with the rugged sturdiness of their Fighting counterpart: snug, snazzy, and strong.

On the subject of boots, we’ve also made it easier to grab new ones from the Cradle of Life. You’re now allowed to have more than one type at a time, in unlimited quantities, and they’re storable in your Costume Room’s Armour Case. In addition, they’ll no longer be destroyed when dropped.

Count Check

Our next bulletin brings more disturbing news. It seems that vampyre activity is on the rise, even West of the River Salve. Count Check is on the move and he’s hungry for good Account Security practices…

Having enjoyed his stay in Lumbridge so far, Count Check has announced his intention to explore the rest of Gielinor, popping up randomly to check whether players’ Account Security is up to scratch.

If you have a Jagex Account and a Bank PIN enabled (UIMs are exempt from that last one), Count Check will offer you an XP Lamp offering XP equal to 10x your current level in the skill of your choice. Seems he got the idea from a Genie friend of his.

If he finds your Account Security lacking, the Count will instead offer you some advice about how to improve it. Once you have, you’ll be able to visit him in Lumbridge to claim one XP Lamp, as long as you’ve never had a reward from him before.

He’s also brushed up on his own knowledge and will now offer up-to-date advice about all things Account Security. He’s even spread the word to other tutors, including the Port Sarim Security Advisor and the Lumbridge Guide. What a nice man!

Also of note is that the Security Advisor in Lumbridge Graveyard seems to have disappeared. We’re sure it’s nothing to worry about.

Note that on ‘alternative’ worlds such as the Permanent Deadman World, 345, Count Check might have some trouble checking your account type. In these worlds, players will only have their Bank PIN checked.

So: if you haven’t already, get yourself a Jagex Account and snag some Fancier Fashionscape and extra XP Lamps! If you’re still on the fence, do have a read through the blog and learn why we’re pushing Jagex Accounts so hard – they really are the front line of defence for your characters.

Leagues IV: Trailblazer Reloaded launches November 15th!

Brace yourself – Leagues IV is coming! We’ll be dropping a new teaser every single day from Thursday, November 2nd all the way until Leagues IV launches on Wednesday, November 15th.

A good few of these reveals will be totally out of the blue (we hope!) but the majority will be exactly what you’re waiting for: Relics.

To keep up with the reveals, head to our ‘X’ (Twitter) page by clicking here and drop us a follow. We’ll also summarise everything you’ve learned in the FAQ Blog, where we’ll be answering all your burning questions over the next two weeks.

If you're looking to start discussing Trailblazer Reloaded with likeminded Leagues lovers, then you can always check out the Community-owned Leagues Discord where we're sure you'll be able to catch every reveal and start theorycrafting to your heart's content.

On top of all of that, expect some fresh Leagues content on our YouTube channel, infographics, and more over the coming weeks - stick around, you won't want to miss it!
Other Changes
No game update's complete without a handful of miscellaneous changes, so here they are!
  • Following the addition of Path of Glouphrie, players who've earned 300 Quest Points are now able to access an additional Slayer block slot - thanks to all of you who voted in the recent poll on this one!
  • Planks from the Sawmill can now be placed in the Plank Sack automatically. This change primarily benefits anybody using Sawmill Vouchers from Forestry: Part Two, though the change isn't strictly Forestry-related, so we popped it down here!
  • We've increased the 'value' of Angler and Spirit Angler outfits so that players are less likely to drop them without realising. Those of you with a particularly high 'drop item warning’ threshold might want to double-check your settings before doing too much shift-clicking with either of these outfits in your Inventory. Anybody with a threshold of 30,000 GP or higher should be fine. This also means these items are more likely to be protected on death, so make sure to check those interfaces if you're heading into dangerous terrain!
  • While we were adding the Count Check random event, we also tweaked a couple of others. The Genie, Dr. Jekyll, and Count Check himself will now be able to enter Banks. They won’t hang around for too long, but this should give you time to rootle through your Bank for that Herb Jekyll’s after.
    • Events that teleport the player, such as the Mime or Mr. Mordaut’s School, aren’t affected by this change.
  • Falo the Bard will now recognise the Barrelchest Anchor (bh) if he asks you to bring him a Barrelchest Anchor.
  • Dromund's cat no longer requires you to wear a Catspeak Amulet for dialogue once you've passed the required part of Dragon Slayer II.

Merch Update: New Store Lines!
A collection of strange characters have made their way to the Merch Store this week! Head there now to meet a hellish pet straight from Evil Dave's basement, the greatest swordsman alive, and a friendly fellow to teleport you to the Abyss - all in pin form!

You'll also be able to pick up an Amulet of Glory Keyring - we can't promise it'll teleport you where you need to go, but it will keep your keys looking glorious!

Complete the Old School look with a retro-styled cord cap, new to the store!

The above items are all in-stock and ready to ship, so go on - treat yourself and click here!

PvP Rota
The PvP rota has moved to Period A:
  • 539 - (US) - PvP World
  • 318 - (UK) - Bounty Hunter World
  • 548 - (Germany) - High-Risk PvP World
  • 577 - (US) - Free-to-Play PvP World
  • 559 - (UK) - LMS Competitive

World 390 (AUS) for LMS Competitive has been activated with this rota.

World 569 (AUS) for Bounty Hunter has been activated with this rota.

The PvP Arena is using 'Max/Med' loadouts in Ranked Duels and Tournaments this week.

That’s all for this week! Keep an eye out for further changes to Forestry and prepare for Leagues IV: Trailblazer Reloaded. Remember, there’s no game update next week, so the next time we see you will be League start. See you there…

Timb-err: Old School Runescape's new forestry update gets panned for being 'too convoluted for its own good'

Forestry 2, the sequel to Forestry, is another expansion to Old School Runescape's woodcutting skill. If you assume that something like chopping down trees is a casual, uncomplicated, nice way to kill a few hours—you would be gravely mistaken. I'm about to try and break this down for you, but even just skimming the surface is giving me conniptions...

Forestry: Part Two

It’s time to don your most rugged plaid shirt and sharpen your axe, because Forestry: Part Two is here! In this update to the Woodcutting expansion released earlier this year, you can expect new rewards, new gear, and a cosy new way to train Firemaking. Let’s get into it!
New Events
Events are exciting activities that spawn while players are chopping a tree. Each event has its own mini-objective – complete it, and you’ll receive XP and Anima-Infused Bark… although some events have special goodies on offer, too.

Note that some events will only spawn when someone within the chopping group has a certain item in their Forestry Kit. The main components for each item are available in the Forestry Shop, along with a list of everything else you’ll need to craft them. It’s well worth doing so, because every time you contribute an item towards an event you receive the full rewards upon completion!

Here’s a list of new events to look out for:

Let’s have a look at these new events in detail!

[expand]

Friendly Ent

This is the only event on the new roster that doesn’t require an item, which means it’s available to both Members and Free-to-play players!

While chopping, you may notice five curious entlings appear. These are creatures of both nature and style, apparently, because they need your help to give them a fancy new haircut!

Match their new ‘do to their request by clicking on an entling and interacting with the interface – or simply right-click them and choose the cutting action you’d like to perform!

For every satisfied customer you’ll gain some Woodcutting XP and some Anima-Infused Bark – and you’ll also receive an XP and reward drop at the end, based on how much time you spent in the event. Lastly, you’ll receive a random assortment of Leaves, a token amount of Fletching XP (scaled to your current level, for Members only) and the chance to receive an Egg Nest.

Bee Hive

In this buzzy event you’re tasked with helping some bumbling buddies find a new place to live! To activate the event, you or someone in your chopping team will need a Smoke Canister.

Help the infamous Bee Keeper rehome the bees by building temporary Bee Boxes for them to live in! Use any kind of log on the incomplete Bee Boxes to build them up. Rewards are based on quantity, not quality, so don’t worry about which logs you use – the bees aren’t picky!

You’ll gain a token amount of Construction XP for each log added, based on your contribution and your current Construction level. You’ll also receive a drop of XP and Anima-Infused Bark based on your contribution!

In the future, you’ll have the chance to obtain Bee Box Parts from this event, which can then be used to build a Bee Box for your Player-Owned House! Unfortunately, implementation has proved to be slightly more complex than expected, so this bonus reward won’t launch with this week’s update. We expect to release it with next week’s update, so keep an eye out for more news soon.

Pheasant Control

As you know, pheasants are a Forester’s arch-nemesis – but the Friendly Foresters prefer to deal with them in a less… stabby manner. With a Pheasant Spoon in your Forestry Kit, you’ll get a chance to help them on their mission.

Pheasant Nests will spawn around the tree. All but one contains a territorial pheasant protecting her eggs. Your mission is to locate the unguarded nest and loot the egg inside, before handing it over to the Forester. Watch out – you never know when the pheasant might return to her nest, so act quickly and nab those eggs! You may only carry one egg at a time (baby pheasants are unusually heavy, it seems) and if you get caught by the pheasants they’ll briefly stun you.

You’ll gain XP and Anima-Infused Bark for each egg you deliver. You’ll also have the chance to find Pheasant Feathers, which can crafted into grand Pheasant Outfit with a Needle and Thread – or, if you prefer, you can trade them for Anima-Infused Bark.

If you’re especially lucky, you’ll obtain a Golden Pheasant Egg, which you can use to transmog your Beaver pet. How pleasant!

Poachers

Cute, orange, and LOUD, foxes are a common sight all over Gielinor – but now they need your help. Nasty poachers are out to capture these wily woodland dwellers, and its up to you to intervene. All you need is a Trap Disarming Kit to make the event spawn.

Your task is to disarm the poachers’ traps. Once one player clicks a trap, everyone around has a short period in which to interact with it, which will contribute to the disarming process. Keep the foxes away from the traps, or they’ll be caught and lose some HP! Should they lose all their HP, they’ll scamper off to lick their wounds – so make sure to disarm all the traps first.

You’ll gain XP and Anima-Infused Bark for every trap you’ve helped disarm, as well as a big drop of XP and Bark depending on your contribution when the event ends.

If you’re very lucky, you may find a Fox Whistle, which will allow you to transmog your Beaver pet into a friendly Fox!

Enchantment Ritual

If you have a Petal Circlet on your person, a Dryad in distress may appear after a tree has been chopped down. She needs your help to complete a magical ritual to keep the forests of Gielinor safe.

During the event, a number of ritual spots of different colours and shapes will appear around the chopped tree. Stand on the odd one out to charge the Dryad’s magic and repeat until the ritual is complete.

After the event, along with the usual rewards, you’ll have the chance to obtain a wearable Petal Garland. Again, this reward can be traded in for Bark if you already have one.

Leprechaun Rework

You’re all familiar with the Leprechaun from Forestry: Part One. While you’ve been chopping, he’s been spending all that time walking to and from the Bank working on a surprise for you all!

As of today, the Leprechaun will also spawn rainbows in the area around him. Running into the rainbows will grant you a buff that not only grants additional XP, but also gives you the chance to obtain Anima-Infused Bark from simply chopping trees.

The more rainbows you interact with, the longer this buff will last. Those with a Leprechaun Charm on them will benefit even more from these buffs, so come prepared!

And don’t worry – despite his new rainbow-conjuring skills, the Leprechaun is still willing to drop your resources off at the Bank. What a nice fellow!
New Rewards
Today’s update also adds a selection of new rewards!

50 Fletching and 50 Woodcutting
3x Flowers + Ball of Wool

Two-Handed Axe - Cost: 10,000 Anima-Infused Bark + 500 Oak Logs (Noted)

We’ll start with the big one: the Two-Handed Axe! Pick up a Felling Axe Handle from the Forestry Store and you can use it to change almost any axe into a powerful Two-Handed variant! Bronze, Iron, Steel, Black, Mithril, Adamant, Rune, Dragon, Crystal and 3rd Age axes are all eligible, and while the process is irreversible, both the Felling Axe Handle and the Two-Handed Axes are tradeable on the Grand Exchange.

While it chops at the same speed as a regular axe, the Two-Handed versions offer something extra. While you have Forester’s Rations in your Forestry Kit, each successful chop will give you 10% more XP and 20% chance not to obtain a log. The Rations are automatically consumed. If you’re out of Rations, the axe will function like any other – so make sure you stock up!

Now that Rations are a hot commodity, we’ve also improved the recipe. As of today’s update, higher-tier leaves will give you extra Rations, and combining it with Fish will also increase the number of Rations you obtain!

Here’s the base level for each leaf type:
  • Normal Leaves: 2 Rations
  • Oak Leaves: 4 Rations
  • Willow Leaves: 6 Rations
  • Maple Leaves: 8 Rations
  • Yew Leaves: 10 Rations
  • Magic Leaves: 12 Rations

In addition, using different tiers of Fish will multiply that base number:
  • Level 1 - 33 Fish: 1x Rations
  • Level 34 - 69 Fish or Cooked Meat: 2x Rations
  • Level 70 - 99 Fish: 3x Rations

So, if you’re cooking up Rations from Oak Leaves and a Cooked Herring, you’ll create 4 Rations – but if you’re using Magic Leaves and Cooked Shark, you’ll get a whopping 36 Rations each time!

Sawmill Voucher - Cost: 150 Anima-Infused Bark (10 Vouchers)

This stackable and tradeable little ticket will let you receive two planks for every log used at the Sawmill – what a deal!

Vouchers are only consumed if you have space for the planks, so there’s no chance of spending all those Vouchers just to drop a bunch of resources on the floor. The Vouchers also work with the Make Plank Spell!

Twitcher's Gloves - Cost: 250 Anima-Infused Bark + 25 Willow Logs (Noted) (250 Charges)

These bird-nerd handwarmers are perfect for nest-hunters, and they come fully charged from the Forestry Shop!

With these Gloves equipped, you’ll have a 10% increased chance to receive any one type of Bird’s Nest, including:
  • Ring Nests
  • Egg Nests
  • Seed Nests
  • Clue Nests

Every time you obtain a log, a charge will be consumed. Note that the effect only applies while Woodcutting.

Cape Pouch - Cost: 2,500 Anima-Infused Bark + 25 Willow Logs (Noted)

If you’ve already put in the work and reached 99 Woodcutting, this reward is for you! Use it on the Forestry Kit and gain the ability to store your Cape inside it and benefit from its 10% increased Bird’s Nest chance. You must have the Forestry Kit equipped to enable this effect.
Forester's Campfires
Now for the main event: Campfires!

Outside of battling the fearsome Wintertodt, the norm for Firemaking training involves a lot of clicking on the floor. To fit with the chill vibes of Forestry, we’re introducing something a little less click-intensive!

As of today’s update, you’ll be able to create Campfires, which let you add and burn logs one at a time, for a third of the usual XP. You’ll gain roughly 50% less XP per hour, but at least we’ll finally discover what’s on the floor of the Grand Exchange – and you can give your poor mouse a rest for a while! Campfires deplete over time, so be sure to keep them stocked with a steady supply of fresh logs.
Smaller Tweaks and Changes
Lastly, we have a selection of QoL changes to existing Forestry content:

  • We’ve added the following items to the Collection Log:
    • Woodcutting Cape Pouch
    • Twitcher's Gloves
    • Felling Axe Handle
    • Pheasant Outfit
    • Fox Whistle
    • Golden Pheasant Egg
  • All versions of the Forestry Kit, Log Basket and Forestry Basket can now be stored in the Player-Owned House.
  • All Leaves are now stackable.
  • Mulch now has different Inventory icons which change depending on how much Mulch you have.
  • The Struggling Sapling event now gives Farming XP based on Farming level and potency of Mulch.

Lastly, we’ve added a feature which lets you withdraw logs from your Log Basket and Forestry Basket straight into your Inventory. To do so, simply Check your Basket. If you prefer, you can still use the Baskets on a Bank Booth to empty them into your Inventory, or ‘Use’ them while in the Bank interface to empty them there.

We’ve also seen a lot of comments suggesting that players should be able to deposit directly into the Bank while gear like this is still equipped. We’re still discussing the feasibility of such a change but hope to have an update for you in the near future.

That’s all for Forestry: Part 2! Make your way to a Forestry world to get chopping!

In the meanwhile, though, we have a second miner update…

Shooting Stars

Today’s update also launches a slew of changes to Shooting Stars, as outlined in our previous newspost.

First up, Stars will now only spawn between Tier 6 and Tier 9, which reduces the total time of each ‘wave’ from 128 minutes to 90 minutes. Here’s the chances of encountering each tier:

Tier
Chance of spawning
6
25%
7
30%
8
25%
9
20%

In addition, to make Star degradation rates consistent regardless of size, each tier now lasts for 7 minutes before degrading, assuming there’s at least one player Mining the Star.

This means that a tier 9 star will last 63 minutes, down from the current time of around 86 minutes.

Each tier will now also give a consistent 32 XP when obtaining Stardust. In addition, your chances of obtaining Stardust at all now scale with your Mining level, from 29% at Level 1 up to 46% at Level 99.

Finally, we have a few small changes:
  • Clue Scrolls are once again obtainable from Mining Stars.
  • Stars in Prifddinas no longer give Crystal Shards.
  • Random Events and Cannons will now be disabled in areas around Stars.

Lastly, please note that Stars will begin landing 20-50 minutes after the game worlds reboot, and then roughly every 90 minutes after that.
