[p]Dear Mayors,[/p][p]Since the release of
Song of The Prairie, we have been committed to optimizing the game alongside adding new content in each major update. From early texture optimization to improvements in the rendering pipeline and lighting effects, we have consistently strived to enhance the game's performance. Of course, there is still room for further optimization, and this time we have carried out secondary optimization on the in-game art resources, mainly focusing on more than 40 UI art assets.[/p][p]
Song of The Prairie contains a large number of UI art resources distributed almost everywhere visible to players. During development, these resources presented the following issues due to ensuring future needs:[/p]
- [p]Unreasonable dimensions: Some UI resources were excessively large, far exceeding the game's requirements. Oversized resources inevitably lead to longer loading times.[/p]
- [p]Atlas arrangement and cropping: As 2D resources, UI elements are typically packed into atlases (collections of images with the same function or at the same hierarchy). The arrangement of these atlases and the cropping size of the entire atlas also affect game optimization.[/p]
- [p]Redundant resources: Some unused resources, although not appearing in the game, were packed into the same atlas and would still be loaded in certain scenarios.[/p]
[p]The above three points indeed affect game optimization to a certain extent, whether when opening UI interfaces or loading the game.[/p][p]In response to these three issues, we have optimized all UI resources:[/p]
- [p]Reduced dimensions: We have downsized unnecessarily large resources to minimize waste.[/p]
- [p]Reorganized atlas cropping and arrangement: We adjusted the irrational arrangement and cropping of atlases.

[/p][p]Finally, we have also made subtle tweaks to some resources, though these may be hard to notice.[/p][p]Additionally, we are pleased to announce that we have fixed the PS crashing issue. This problem was caused by a memory leak in specific versions of the development tools and Unity engine, which has now been resolved. The game content is now kept consistent with the PC version.[/p][p]Thank you for your support and love for
Song of The Prairie. We will continue to optimize the game in the future.[/p][p][/p][p]
