Song of the Prairie 0.8.58 patch update.

Adjustment:
Adjusted the environment performance in underground world.

Optimization:
Optimized a situation that color plate will not change when a new preset eyes style is chose.
Optimized a situation that characters will crowed together in Firework Show.
Optimized a visual error of character in jewelry crafting interface.
Optimized the performance of hot spring.
Optimized the refreshment of firefly. They will re-spawn in next circle in old save files.
Optimized the icons for player’s houses in different styles.

0.8 is available now!

It’s been more than a year since we released Song Of The Prairie. We are polishing this game for upcoming 1.0.As usual, this update contains new content and optimization or adjustment.

0.8 Preview

Hello villagers!

Song Of The Prairie will update to 0.8 in April 25, 2024 (GMT)

Special Deal: April 25, 2024 - May 9, 2024(GMT)

Introduction:


We’ve been through a meaningful year with all your company. We appreciate that and thank you for your support.

Just like the previous updates. We will bring you new content, bug repairs and optimizations for presented content. This time, we will reveal something you have been waiting for a long time, which will make this game more perfect. And what makes us very exciting is that the updates are following our plan smoothly.

But of course we feel a little nervous with the closer step of full edition. And 1.0 will be released in this year. Without further ado, let’s have a look about 0.8 preview!

There will be three parts in this preview. New content, Expansions and Optimizations. Now, let’s go through those parts in version 0.8(This preview doesn’t cover all content).



【New Content】


We know what are you waiting for, but before the Marriage System, there is one thing needs to be shared to all of you first. That’s a foundation of this game and also a very important part of gameplay.

[h2]Tutorial[/h2]

Tutorial have been guiding players about operations, system rules and more since game was available. This part has no change and will not be changed in the future.

According to the feedback and suggestions from players, with the full analysis and discussion we decided to add two functions in previous tutorial.

①Added quest marking system. Now you can trace any quest in MEMO, and those marked quests will be shown in game interface. And of course you could unmark them to stop tracing.

PS: No more than ONE marked quest will be displayed.

During the quest, you have to open the MEMO over and over again to ensure target or other information. Players hope they could not be bothered by doing this repeatedly and learn the progress in game interface. We heard your voice and now you can follow the quest briefing during gameplay . Hoping this function could provide smoother and more convenient experience to you in 0.8.



② “Guidance” system will be added in MEMO. “Guidance” only exists after creating a new game in 0.8. Save files before the update will have no this part. Because this is a function for new players to avoid confusion at the beginning of the game. And because of underlying logic, the previous save files will not support this.

“Guidance”is not a regular quest or a mission. It serves as a guide without any reward.
“Guidance”could be turned off and doing this will not effect any quest & mission but stop providing guidance during the gameplay. And when you turn it off, this system could never be restore again unless creating a new game.

[h2]Marriage System[/h2]

When the relationship between you and your crush is LOVER , you can take the engagement token from Tegx the priest to make a proposal to your crush.

With the successful proposal, you can choose the date and style of your wedding. Don’t forget to finish the missions to prepare your wedding. After all this, just waiting for your big day.(You could invite guests to present).

The wedding will be held in church, you two will be couple after the ceremony. And there will be interactions during the wedding. Like, flying lanterns, eating cakes and other intimate interactions between you two.

If everything goes right, it would be a wonderful wedding worth to remember for your whole life. But not everything means happiness or joy to everyone. If you keep romantic relationship with other people until the wedding day. You may have to face a very awkward situation, it will ruin the wedding and your lover will break up with you!

But of course it’s just one of possibilities, keeping your relationship clean and pure could avoid such things.

[h2]New Fest: Festival of Color[/h2]
Another exciting festival!

Festival of Color is a fest to celebrate the coming of colorful spring and say good bye to cold winter. This fest will be held for the first time in the spring of second year, then you can participate in every spring.

Festival of Color is a mini game to win scores. During the event, players and residents could combat with a new prop Paint Gun, which could splash pigment. If you hit a character, that guy will be coated with corresponding color.

Reloading your gun beside a vat or you can adjust colors by it to splash different colors.

Painting others by the color they want with your gun is the way to win this game. When others are covered by certain pigment they will exit this game and you will earn your score. But of course not only you but other people will compete with you and you also would be eliminated from this game by covered with colors. Finally, the one with highest score could win the first prize.



[h2]New Toys[/h2]

Not only will the joy be brought by festivals but also those interesting toys. We added new toys and corresponding side quests.

New Toys: Kite and Lotus Lantern.

Kite, floating in air when you release it. You could control it’s height and it will follow your pace.

Lotus Lantern, it’s said that this lantern could drive away darkness and bright your life. Floating it beside the bank of water, it will go with water flow.



【Expansions】


It’s not all about new adding in this part, but supplements and expansions for existing content, those are one of the important parts of our works.

[h2]Perfection of Romance System[/h2]

This system companies us since the release of game. We will endow this system it’s complete form in 0.8. More than just marriage, we perfected the romance events and after stories of date

We call the whole series of events about affection increasing, date and love a progress of “win ones love”

This section will be enriched in 0.8

You and the other characters could be lovers if you trigger the confession event from others and take it.

And if you turn down the confession or break up with someone, there are chances to fix. Gift the token “The Eye of Lover” and affection level meets the certain point, your relationship would be “lover” again.

Lover relationship comes with some new content, like, new greeting lines, in-love events and some embarrass moment.

When you keeps the “relationship of lover” with more than one characters, there is a chance to meet “other lovers” when you are dating with someone. That’s sound tricky! Different characters will show different reactions when they are involved in this awkward moment. Some of they may forgive you and let the date continue or some of them may reject you directly.

Of course there will be break-up, both players and other characters could end this relationship. Once it is mentioned, your relationship of lover will be over and become best friend.



[h2]Building Style[/h2]

We recorded feedback about house renovation, like: changing the indoor or outdoor looks.

In 0.8 we added new function for you to renovate indoor style of your house. You could do the changes to level 2 - level 4 houses. And there are wedding themes for you to choose in level 4!

Renovation is an overall change preset rather than free editing by yourselves. And in 0.8 there are 2 different styles to choose, but there will be expansions in the future.

We also hope players could change the facade of house in the future, we believe this day is not far behind.

Let’s have a look about those indoor styles.



[h2]Second Homeland Expansion[/h2]

Some villagers told us they were facing all kinds of problems when putting down animal pen in Second Homeland. Well, actually, it was not a problem. The core situation is that animal pen cannot be put in Second Home but somehow it can! So in 0.8 we fixed this problem.

Facing the Second Homeland for the first time may be confusing. In 0.8 we will offer you guide missions to introduce functions of Second Homeland. Hoping this could serve a better experience for you.

At the same time, you could send helpers to Blacksmith Workshop and Fashion Store.

[h2]Helpers Training[/h2]

Ten more helpers arrived at Prairie Town in 0.8 to ease shorthanded situations.

We trained helpers again to reclaim the land, not just till those cultivated clots but reclaim new lands in a range.

Also, we updated their Work Station. Now, you can adjust work guidelines for helpers.

“Adjusting Work Guidelines” is not complex, but under it’s management, your arrangement would be more handy and convenient. Now it’s possible to arrange the specific work progress for helpers, like : start or stop doing some work. Present work progresses are reclamation, animal, framing work, log, mine, collect and fish.



【Optimizations】


This part is not expansion or adding things for functions or content. But do the further improvement to performance and visual effect on original foundation.

[h2]Ultra Wide Screen Adoption[/h2]

We understand the feedback from you guys about this, but because of the resources and development, this part haven’t updated earlier.

Now you can enjoy the game on 21:9 ultra wide screen!

The most of the main UI have adopted the resolution, like: map, bulletin board, bus stop route, town management, LOGO menu, etc.

We hope this could bring you better experience.

[h2]Fruit State Performance[/h2]

Basically, you can’t shake trees to acquire fruits if fruits are unripe. Ripe one, you could shake trees or throw stones to have it.

But we have information that you cannot shake trees but throw stones to have the unripe fruits. However, when fruits hit the ground, you will notice that they are unripe.

No matter it’s a bug or some kinds of performance, it should be optimized in 0.8

So in 0.8, the visual color of hanging fruits would be more green if they are unripe but look more tasty once they are ripe.



[h2]Details of Recipes[/h2]

We found out that the display of recipes buff information is insufficient so that villagers cannot learn the effects from those dishes. Forcing to remember the different buffs will highly increase the learning cost definitely.

In upcoming 0.8, the buff effects will be displayed under the recipes information which should be more convenient to know the effect



[h2]Second Stage Resources Optimization[/h2]

In 0.7 we changed the rendering pipeline and optimized some model resources.

Only part of the optimizations have been done in 0.7, in 0.8 we will make a further step. This time, the main parts are decors, residences and environment(illumination),etc.

Just like the optimization in 0.7. Most of decor resources have been replaced in order to have a unified management in the future graphic optimization.

Buildings and decors, like House of Mermaid, Mushroom House, Workshop, Market Street, Building staging, road sign were also optimized.

Optimization on environment and illuminations will be more obvious. We adjusted the visual experience of snow covered land in winter to make it more natural.And now characters and plants will no longer be covered by snow. The illumination of street lamps now has volumetric light now. The adjusted light sources in Underground World will bring brighter world.



Finally, because we’ve changed the rendering pipeline in 0.7. The color saturation turned lower. Now we changed that, the color would be more comfortable and lovely in 0.8.



【Epilogue】


Now I guess everyone of you could feel that the game is getting more and more complete. We are achieving the early stage conceive step by step, completing the game update by update. It’s a challenge but also a exciting and grateful experience. We appreciate your patience and support.
