V1.6 Update

Hi everyone,

A few more fixes and changes in this update.

FIX - If would have second build such as a campfire or drying rack for example and you remove an item from one of them, items in the second (if any) would also be removed.

FIX - A blue prop book in military camps was stuck between 2 dividers. Some players thought it was a tech blueprint and causing confusion . Well it clearly was not meant to be there and was removed.

FIX - Unequipping Mining Helmet would keep the light on the character as if the helmet was still on.

CHANGE - The resource part of the backpack will be visible by default when interacting with chests. Previously the food part of the backpack would be visible by default.

CHANGE - FPS Options and Vsync added. Players can now set what frame rate they prefer to play with and toggle V-Sync on/off. Please make sure to check these settings if you already have a copy installed.

V1.5 Update

Hi everyone,

This update is to primarily fix a major issue with players GPU overheating. This is probably caused because I did not cap FPS.

Please let me know if this corrects the issue of overheating. While I was at it, I fixed 2 more bugs.

CHANGE - I needed to cap FPS to 60 like the majority of other games, seem to cause overheating GPUs otherwise.

FIX - Workbench would not let players craft items that they can craft in their inventory, well it should and was fixed.

FIX - Players standing on unbuilt ghost foundations would not get attacked by AI.

Kind Regards

V1.4 Update

Hi Everyone,

A few more bug fixes.

FIX - Gate doors would sometimes open strange, one side would open while the other would close.

FIX - Base pillar LODs would should the pillar floating in air.

FIX - Was able to craft items like cloth for example in the regular workbench when it should only be able to be crafted on the loom. Many items had the same issue.

FIX - AI after being killed would sometimes not despawn and float across the ground.

Kind Regards

V1.3 Update

Hi there,

A few more bug fixes and one more change.

FIX - Animals would still attack and damage the player base even after death.

FIX - Vambies would still be attacking and damaging your base when in retreat mode.

FIX - When eating meat stew, players should have been able to increase their max health to 200, before this fix, it would max out at 110.

CHANGE - When players would have no more of any type of hunger stat such as protein for example, Health would drop by 1 every second. That would result in players dying really fast. I have reduced the amount of damage per second from 1 to 0.1. This will give players more time to recover and find the appropriate foods needed.

Kind Regards

Update v1.2

Hi everyone,

Yet another small update to fix some bugs and a few changes. Normally I would not bother everyone with such frequent updates but since the game just went live, I would like to bang out fixes ASAP.

FIX - Game should no longer prompt any VR settings when loaded. (please let me know if its still does it)

FIX - There was a delay in death animations when Vambies were in the process of their attack animations.

FIX - Could not place windows in the window frames of walls.

FIX - When interacting with chests and the UI was open, if a player would die, you would respawn with the UI still open and frozen.

FIX - Some power related issues were fixed. There was few reasons why overall power was in the minus.

CHANGE - Added to the fish description. Some could not figure out how to get raw fish and rightly so, it was not easy to figure out that you needed to drop the fish on the ground and harvest it.

AI CHANGES - I have started to work a little on AI and have changed a few things.
1) Better pathfinding, they would sometimes get stuff on trees and other things.
2) AI damage distance once again tweaked.
3) AI can now retreat if their health is low after it being attacked. It is just a small retreat, they will come back to attack you.
4) When AI hit players, I increases the opacity of the blood drops on the player UI. It is now more noticeable when being hit.
5) Increased the attack animation speed, I found it a bit to easy to dodge the slow attacks of Vambies.

Thank you again for all the support and patience.

BTW, I have just today hired a well needed artist to help develop this project. His first main task is to improve the environment, I want more variety as everything looks the same. He will after that work POIs, Towns and more Vambie varieties. After that he will start working of creating new item graphics to replace the many placeholder assets.

This will probably take a few months, so bare with us.

:)
