Warhammer 40,000: Darktide News

Warhammer 40k Darktide is getting another new class, and I swear to god if it's not a toaster...

I'm a simple man. If I see the Adeptus Mechanicus involved in a Warhammer project, I click buy. Whether it's my tabletop army, creating my own personal collection of IRL servo skulls, or indeed something from our list of the best Warhammer 40k games, I'm a toaster man through and through. And we're eating right now. The recent Mechanicus 2 demo was excellent (even if I was more impressed by the Necrons), my Dawn of War 4 preview features our not-so-friendly robots, and I really hope Warhammer 40k Darktide is next. Developer Fatshark has teased that a new class is on the way, and I've got a funny feeling that something robotic this way comes.

Live Event: Stolen Rations

[p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
New In-Game Live Event: Stolen Rations
[p]The Heretics have raided a supply convoy. You need to destroy or recover these rations.[/p][p]No one knows the state of these stolen rations. Will you recover them for the hungry citizens of the hive? Will you destroy them to avoid any chance of corruption? [/p][p][/p][p]To make progress in the event, you need to play missions with the Stolen Rations conditions where you will encounter ration items throughout. As you do, you will have to choose if you want to recover or destroy them (and face the consequences). Your event progress is strike team wide, and will be granted regardless of what option you choose.[/p][p][/p][p]Whatever you choose will have a consequence. While playing event missions, enemies will react differently as the strike team chooses to destroy or recover these rations. Similarly, the event circumstances will change every day to represent the community’s decision over the matter.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]This event will start today, and end on November 10. The rewards will be Ordo dockets, Plasteel and Diamantine. Those who complete the last tier of the event will receive a cosmetic weapon trinket.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]

Hotfix #80 - 1.9.4 - Patch Notes

[p][/p]
Hey Everyone,
[p]Hotfix #80 (1.9.4) is currently rolling out across our platforms. In the meantime, you can read the notes below. [/p][p]
[/p]
Class Balance
[p]Overall we’re very happy with the outcome of the previous patch. Build variety has increased and win rates are more even between those builds. There are, however, a few points and outliers that we want to tackle.[/p]
• [p]Arbites[/p]
• [p]Arbites Vigilant[/p]
• [p]Duration 10s -> 12s[/p]
• [p]Retaliatory Force[/p]
• [p]Attack Speed 10% -> 15%[/p]
• [p]Castigator’s Stance
While we’re happy with the defensive power of the Ability, it’s currently being used a bit too frequently so we’re adjusting the Cooldown of it.[/p]
• [p]Cooldown 45s -> 50s[/p]
• [p]Walk it Off
The uptime and effectiveness of Walk it Off was simply too strong in comparison to similar nodes.[/p]
• [p]15% over 3s  -> 10% over 3s[/p]
• [p]Veteran[/p]
• [p]Covering Fire[/p]
• [p]Duration 3s -> 6s[/p]
• [p]Lock and Load[/p]
• [p]Clip Size 15% -> 25%[/p]
• [p]Redirect Fire[/p]
• [p]2% -> 2.5%[/p]
• [p]Fire Team[/p]
• [p]5% Damage -> 7.5%[/p]
• [p]Duty and Honour
The long duration paired with the Low cooldown of Voice of Command gave the effect too high uptime.[/p]
• [p]Bonus Toughness Duration 15s -> 10s[/p]
• [p]Zealot[/p]
• [p]Punishment[/p]
• [p]Impact 5% -> 8%[/p]
• [p]Duration 5s -> 8s[/p]
• [p]Pious Cut-Throat We’re lowering the Cooldown Regeneration due to how easy it is to keep uptime on it.[/p]
• [p]100% for 2s  -> 75% for 2s[/p]
• [p]Riposte[/p]
• [p]Melee Damage 4% -> 3%[/p]
• [p]Psyker[/p]
• [p]Inner Tranquility[/p]
• [p]Peril Reduction 6% -> 8%[/p]
• [p]Kinetic Presence[/p]
• [p]Damage 7.5% -> 10%[/p]
• [p]Psykinetic’s Aura
Psykinetic’s Aura came out of the previous patch too strong, resulting in very low Ability Cooldowns.[/p]
• [p]Cooldown Regeneration 100% for 3s -> 60% for 5s[/p]
• [p]Ogryn The Ogryn can still be extremely tanky without investing that many points into the defensive nodes. We’re increasing the power of a few nodes in the defensive parts of the tree with the intent that we will see more successful builds that prioritize defense.[/p]
• [p]Stay Close![/p]
• [p]Toughness Increase 15% -> 20%[/p]
• [p]For the Lil’Uns[/p]
• [p]Cooldown 30s -> 20[/p]
• [p]Feel No Pain (Keystone)[/p]
• [p]Stack Replenish Rate 3s -> 2s[/p]
• [p]Get Stuck In[/p]
• [p]Duration 4s -> 6s[/p]
• [p]Delight in Destruction[/p]
• [p]Stacks 4 -> 6[/p]
• [p]DR per stack 8% -> 5% (32% -> 30%)[/p]
[p][/p]
Enemy Balance
• [p]Scab Captain health has been changed:[/p]
• [p]Uprising from 24000 to 20000[/p]
• [p]Malice from 32000 to 24000[/p]
• [p]Dreg Captain health has been changed:[/p]
• [p]Uprising from 21000 to 17500[/p]
• [p]Malice from 28000 to 21000[/p]
[p]Dev Note: Fix for unintended health increases; this change will bring the Captain's health back to where it’s intended.[/p]
• [p]Lowered spawn chance for the Scab Plasma Gunner during events.[/p]
Fixes
• [p]Crash fixes[/p]
• [p]Fixed a crash that could occur when rendering in-game icons and portraits. [/p]
• [p]Dev Note: Commonly encountered when switching loadout in your operative screen or browsing various options in the barber.[/p]
• [p]Fixed a crash which could occur if two players managed to start the Auspex minigame at the exact same time.[/p]
• [p]Fixed a rare crash which would occur when trying to equip items to an operative. [/p]

• [p]Fixed a rare crash which could occur when voting for a mission started while a player was Sacrificing weapons.[/p]
• [p]Fixed a crash which could occur when loading icons in the modify appearance options and when switching to a loadout with a previously equipped item that has been deleted.[/p]
• [p]Cosmetic Fixes[/p]

• [p]Lawbringer Mk IIb Power Falchion[/p]
• [p]Tweaked attack ranges for Light attacks to be more aligned with each other (particularly, slightly increased the reach of the Light 1 attack).[/p]
• [p]Dev Note: Thanks to player “aroth68” for bringing this to our attention![/p]
• [p]Smoothened out the windup of the Heavy 2 attack animation.[/p]
• [p]Catachan “Devil's claw” Sword[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue where an incorrect third person animation would be played when performing the windup of specific Heavy attacks on mk IV and mk VII.[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue where 'Time to Kill' would proc on non-damaging backstabs like 'Fury of the Faithful' impact hit.[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue where 'True Grit' applied the wrong amount of Health damage.[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue where Psyker's 'Charged Strike' talent electrocution damage would scale with the 'Empowered Psionics' Keystone damage boost.[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue where 'Remote Detonation' would not get extra charges from buffs or mission modifiers (e.g. “Enhanced Blitz” Maelstrom modifier).[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue where 'Crystalline Will' would still deal corruption even when canceling the Perils of the Warp explosion (e.g. by quelling Peril through 'Venting Shriek').[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue where 'Steady Grip' could fail to trigger after using a weapon Special action with certain weapons.[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue where Penance unlock popups during missions could sometimes show wrong information.[/p]

Hotfix #79 - 1.9.3 - Patch Notes

[p][/p]
Hey Everyone,
[p][/p][p]Hotfix #79 (1.9.3) is currently rolling out across our platforms. In the meantime, you can read the notes below. As a heads up, this hotfix will be somewhat heavier than previous ones due to various changes to sound files (~3.3 GB)[/p]
Features & Tweaks
• [p]Scab Plasma Gunner[/p]
• [p]New charge sound[/p]
• [p]New “Scope” VFX and “Scope” SFX[/p]
• [p]These should make dodging more consistent[/p]
• [p]Shot cooldown lowered from 2.4 to 2.0[/p]
• [p]Lowered dodge window from 0.7 to 0.6[/p]
General Fixes
• [p]Fixed a rare crash that could occur in Havoc when spawning enemies.[/p]
• [p]Fixed issues with subtitles displaying over menus.[/p]
• [p]Fixed a bug that could cause multiple voicelines to play at the same time in the Mourningstar.[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue where the Veteran “Rangefinder Goggles” headgear cosmetics would cause a small patch of balding.[/p]
• [p]Fixed some timing issues with the Plasma Gunner’s sound effects.[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue where Force Staves would fail to shoot the projectile that triggered the Perils of the Warp state.[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue where Veteran's Infiltrate would not end when damaging an enemy in the first 0.5s of entering stealth.[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue where Psyker's Soulblaze from Perilous Combustion and Venting Shriek could be applied to un-aggroed Daemonhosts, waking them up.[/p]
• [p]Relic Blade - Fixed an issue where it was not always possible to immediately chain an attack after performing a Special activate/de-activate action while sprinting.[/p]
• [p]Dev note: thanks to players arkanian1210, aroth68 and CobaltNinja (among others) for bringing this to our attention![/p]
• [p]Fixed a crash caused by the visual effects of Rotten Armour enemies.[/p]
• [p]Dev note: we thought we had fixed the same crash in our previous hotfix, but it was only a partial fix. This should solve all occurrences of the issue.[/p]
• [p]Fixed an issue where players could path upwards from specific nodes in the Veteran talent tree.
[/p]
Known Issues
[p]We’re aware of increased disconnects and server instability since the 1.9.0 update. Hotfixes have provided some improvements and we’re monitoring closely; restoring full stability will take additional time.[/p][p][/p][p]Some players might experience a rare crash occurring when trying to equip items to a character. This is affecting players with old loadout preset data. For players experiencing this issue, creating a new loadout preset should bypass the crash. A fix will be deployed soon to address the crash, which will in some instance delete the character loadouts.[/p][p][/p][p]Thank you for your patience and your understanding![/p][p]
[/p][p]We’ll see you on the Mourningstar.
