Warhammer 40k Darktide will get no new PC content until RPG gets fixed

Following a very, very rocky launch, Warhammer 40k Darktide has very much played second fiddle to some of the best PC games of 2022 - and Fatshark knows it. In an attempt to salvage the once highly anticipated Warhammer 40k game, the devs will not be releasing any more content on PC until its core systems are fixed.

Warhammer 40K: Darktide developers pause new content to address "mostly negative" feedback

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide developers Fatshark have announced that they're delaying the co-op horde shooter's seasonal content in order to focus solely on addressing "the feedback that many of you have." That feedback is best witnessed via the recent Darktide Steam reviews, which sit at "Mostly Negative" after 8471 submissions. Specifically, Fatshark say they're going to improve crafting, stability and performance.

We take enormous pride in our ability at Fatshark to deliver a game that millions can enjoy. This was what we set out to do with Warhammer 40,000: Darktide – to create a highly engaging and stable game with a level of depth that keeps you playing for weeks, not hours.

We fell short of meeting those expectations.

Over the next few months, our sole focus is to address the feedback that many of you have. In particular, we will focus on delivering a complete crafting system, a more rewarding progression loop, and continue to work on game stability and performance optimization.

This also means that we will delay our seasonal content rollout and the Xbox Series X|S launch. We will also suspend the upcoming releases of premium cosmetics. We just couldn’t continue down this path, knowing that we have not addressed many feedback areas in the game today.

Thank you for playing and providing feedback. We really appreciate it. It has and will continue to help shape the game we love.

Warhammer 40k Darktide hotfix removes player outlines, temporarily

There's a new Warhammer 40k Darktide patch out today, which makes some improvements to stability and adds AMD ray-tracing support to the co-op's game launcher options. However, one change is going to be immediately noticeable when you hop into a mission: player outlines have been disabled.
