How to get Darktide cosmetics

Getting Darktide cosmetics for all of your characters will take quite some time, as new gear is a sign of accomplishment in the 40K universe. Buying the Darktide Imperial Edition will give you some unique outfits and weapon skin patterns, available from the game's launch, but there are plenty more that you can buy with in-game currency or earn during missions.

Unlike a fair number of Warhammer games where you get to change their look, this one doesn't require you to lovingly paint each one of the Darktide classes until they look just right. Instead, you need to complete achievement-like tasks known in-game as Penances. Not all of them will give you Darktide cosmetics, but the vast majority will provide you with ways to customise your look, portraits, and even trinkets to show off your achievements. You can also buy cosmetic items and weapon skins from the Armoury Exchange. You need to spend Ordo Tokens, which you can earn by completing each of the FPS game's missions. However, the available items in the shop are only there for a limited time before the next set appears.

Darktide Grimoire locations and uses

The Darktide Grimoire locations are collectible items hidden in certain missions, and extracting with them in your inventory can net you some excellent rewards. As we know all too well, you can't take your eye off the hordes in Darktide for a second, lest you be torn limb from limb, but if you're planning on leveling up fast, you're going to want to take a few detours to find the hidden Grimoires.

Anyone familiar with one of the best Warhammer games, Vermintide, may already be familiar with the idea of Grimoires. They were a kleptomaniac's dream in the co-op game; the collectibles were in set locations during each mission, and finishing the level with one in your inventory increased your rarity of loot. However, grimoires in Darktide don't work in the same way and may leave some players scratching their heads.

How Darktide trust levels work

Are you a little confused as to how Darktide trust levels work? If so, you're not the only one as, while gaining levels is as easy as successfully finishing missions, knowing what each new rank unlocks is a bit trickier as the game doesn't do a fantastic job of telling you.

With every rank of the Darktide trust levels, you can unlock new facilities and items in the hub area of the Warhammer game. You'll also gain access to better quality options, including the best Darktide weapons, which you will need to take down ever more dangerous nefarious corruptions from within the galaxy's walls.

Best Darktide Veteran build, weapons, and feats

You'll want the best Darktide Veteran build in the grimdark Warhammer 40,000 universe to help eliminate the enemies of humankind. The Sharpshooter is a former soldier of the Imperial Guard, the trusted army of the Emperor and allies to the all-powerful Space Marines. As the legions of Chaos and other Xenos horrors corrupt the universe, you're given a second chance in life by joining the Inquisition to fight the enemy from within the Imperium's walls.

To take out the heretics and survive everything this brutal Warhammer game has to throw at you, sometimes only the best Darktide Veteran build will do. While the Veteran is not as memorable as some of the other Darktide classes, such as the Zealot or Ogryn, it makes up for it with raw power in the guns available to them. It may take a while to earn everything you see here, but once you do, you'll be one of the most feared gunslingers in the galaxy.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide's beta progression will carry over when the game releases

Grim co-op action game Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is out on PC on Wednesday, and devs Fatshark have taken a load off players’ minds by confirming that progression from the pre-order beta will carry over. Although Fatshark had mentioned in previous Steam updates about the game’s beta that player progression might not be fully guaranteed, they tweeted over the weekend to let players know that progression will be maintained once the game’s released. I do like that they address everyone as “rejects” in their announcements, it makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
