[p][/p][p]Hotfix #78 (1.9.2) is currently rolling out across our platforms. In the meantime, you can read the notes below.[/p][p][/p][h2]Features & Tweaks[/h2]
  • [p]Scab Plasma Gunner[/p]
    • [p]Improved visuals: the Plasma Gunner’s weapon will be slightly lit at all times.[/p]
    • [p]Aim duration increased from 0.5 -> 0.75[/p]
    • [p]Shoot cooldown increased from 1.5 → 2.4[/p]
    • [p]Reduced power from 650 → 550[/p]
    • [p]Reduced base HP 950 → 900[/p]
    • [p]Limited spawn amount per difficulty.[/p]
    • [p]Removed wall penetration.[/p]
    • [p]Increased damage against fellow enemies.[/p]
    • [p]Dev Note: We’re aware of the feedback surrounding the Audio / Visual cues for the Plasma Gunner and are working on a solution.[/p]
  • [p]Ogryn Power Maul[/p]
    • [p]Removed chain time to Block from Light 3 and Light 4 attacks.
      [/p]
[h2]General Fixes[/h2]
  • [p]Pacing - Fixed an issue where coordinated strikes had a 90% chance to occur instead of the normal 30%.[/p]
    • [p]This issue only affected Damnation and Auric level difficulties.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where the ammo value in the magazine and in reserve of secondary weapons would be incorrect and/or receive incorrect scaling from the Ammo stat.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue that led to a significantly incorrect stagger calculation for staggered enemies in certain situations.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where post-combat bonding conversations would not occur as often as intended.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where subtitles would not display during the opening cinematic.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed the difficulty requirement not working for ‘No Provisions’ penance.[/p]
    • [p]The description of the penance was also updated to more accurately reflect the requirements.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where the Vigilant Autogun was listed twice in Brunt's Armoury for Zealot players.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where the Plasma Annihilator frame had a wrong unlock requirements text.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where it wasn't possible to scroll through the talent tree with a mouse.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where ‘Charged Strike’'s electrocution DoT damage did not trigger ‘Malefic Momentum’.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where the player would lose the highlight on the selected character when moving through the characters in the selection screen.[/p]
  • [p]Crashes[/p]
    • [p]Fixed a server crash which could happen when intense combat or multiple explosions were happening.[/p]
    • [p]Fixed a crash that could occur by opening the Campaign Playlist before the mission terminal had fully loaded.[/p]
    • [p]Fixed a crash that could happen if opening up the Cosmetics menu for Weapons and pressing multiple inputs at the same time.[/p]
    • [p]Fixed multiple crashes related to Rotten Armour enemies.[/p]
    • [p]Fixed a crash that could happen when removing the Keystone effects of Veteran ‘Sniper Focus’.[/p]
    • [p]Fixed a crash related to using the Inspect action in the Weapon Cosmetics menu on a standard weapon appearance.[/p]
  • [p]Cosmetics[/p]
    • [p]Fixed an issue where the tone on certain hair/fur colours had incorrectly changed.[/p]
    • [p]Fixed some clipping issues with the head tube on the Zealot “Void-Farer's Hood” headgear cosmetic.[/p]
  • [p]Mission Board[/p]
    • [p]Fixed an issue where campaign mission debrief cinematics could play while pressing certain parts of the difficulty selector.[/p]
    • [p]Fixed an issue where the background of the Campaign Playlist would be fully opaque once some campaign missions had been completed.[/p]
    • [p]Fixed an issue where the Campaign Playlist could not be navigated using the appropriate inputs on a controller.[/p]
    • [p]Fixed an issue where debriefs cinematics the player hasn’t yet unlocked could be viewed if triggering them with a controller.[/p]
[h2]Known Issues[/h2]
  • [p]There is a rare crash occurring when trying to equip items to a character. It is affecting players with old loadout preset data.[/p]
    • [p]As a workaround we recommend creating a new preset, this should fix the problem. When we deploy a fix to this bug, some players might lose their preset - not their character, just the build preset.[/p]

  • [p]Updated text of Veteran Penance “Fire Down Range” to more accurately reflect the criteria needing to be fulfilled.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where mission images would disappear when swapping between difficulties in the Campaign Playlist.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where mission tiles in the Mission Terminal could incorrectly display the “Event” tag while not possessing any event modifier.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a rare crash that could occur when opening the Mission Terminal.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a crash that could occur in the Meat Grinder when switching loadouts while having ability cooldown reducing effects active.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a crash that could occur when opening the Penances screen while having completed tracked penances.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a crash that could occur when looking at another player's Inventory while they disconnected from the game.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a crash that could occur when opening the Inventory or switching between loadouts while having specific loadout items equipped.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where the shooting and explosion sound effects for the Boltgun Mk III and Bolt Pistol Mk VI would play incorrectly for other players.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue where the 3D model appearance for the Bolt Pistol Mk VI could be inconsistent after equipping Commissary weapon skins.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue which could lead to client and server crashes during missions related to the “Smuggled Munitions” event.[/p]

Warhammer 40k Darktide drops new enemies, weapons, and a hefty class rework

Warhammer 40k Darktide understands the Warhammer 40k universe like few other games. It doesn't have the power fantasy of Space Marine 2 or the scale of Dawn of War, but it nails the grit and grime of life in a Hive City. The gameplay has improved in leaps and bounds since launch, too, with a constant flow of updates from developer Fatshark to iterate on fan feedback and keep the live-service ball rolling. The latest update is Bound by Duty, which focuses on deadly plasma weaponry, and adds a new map, mission, and gear as well.

Root out these dangerous squads and dispatch them.[/p][p][/p][p]To make progress in the event, kill Captains in missions with the Outgunned condition.[/p][p][/p][p]This event is LIVE NOW, until October 13. The rewards will be Ordo dockets, Plasteel and Diamantine. Those who complete the last tier of the event will receive a cosmetic portrait frame.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]

Darktide’s Bound by Duty update reworks three of its playable oddballs

Bound by Duty, Warhammer 40,000: Darktide’s first big update in months, has just gone live. On top of expanding the Mortis Trials arena mode and adding a selection of new heretic mincing tools, it makes significant skill tree changes to three of Darktide’s five playable classes – the Veteran, Psyker, and Zealot – aimed at "increased flexibility and player agency". Including, it seems, the flexibility to blow up your own head more effectively.
