Early Access Update 4 - Routing

In this update we have improved the route planning on the map, so that now more roads can be used.

Routing:
- Missing bus roads added
- Ferry routes can now be used and thus islands can also be built on
- Barriers (e.g. bollards), which are open for buses, can now be passed
- One-way streets that are open for buses can now be used
- Fixed the bug that routing did not work on a big part of the map
- Streetcar, Tram and Subway routes are now reliably displayed as rail instead of road
- Roads with construction sites are now usable in the game
- Many more special cases are now taken into account

General:
- Added Czech translation and Czech Crowns as currency (Thanks to TheFloxiCz!)
- When buying a bus, the desired number can now be selected, so that several buses can be bought at once
- More colors are now available for lines
- The bus icon setting on the map is now saved
- Fixed another bug that could cause buses to get stuck at the exit and cause a traffic jam
- Fixed another bug that caused buses to get stuck while parking
- Fixed the bug that buses were not displayed on the map or were invisible
- Fixed a bug when saving
- Fixed the bug that not all buses were explorable
- Currency in the paint shop is now displayed correctly
- Fixed other bugs in the building system
- Fixed a bug that the public transport usage did not increase
- Many small bug fixes

The new routing data is already available for Europe. The other continents are already benefiting from the routing update, but more improvements will follow soon.

We are already working on the next major update, which will mainly focus on performance improvements.

"Most Wanted Bus" - Voting

It’s time: The next round of City Bus Manager's "Most Wanted Bus" is on!

The votings for the next buses are ready. Many thanks to everyone who submitted so many busses - let us assure you that the evaluation was not easy :P

We have now put together a selection of frequently requested buses for you in the respective Discord channels, divided into regions. You can vote with a red heart emoji which bus should win (other emojis will not counted).

For now, we have decided to include 10 new buses: 3 from Europe, 2 each from Asia and North America and one each from South America, Australia and Africa.

If your favourite bus is not yet included, don't be sad - there will certainly be another opportunity to express your wishes for buses in the future. If you want to talk about the poll, you can do so in the channel #mwb-talk on Disocrd.

The Voting will end next Monday, 28 November 2022. We will then announce the winners.

Note: Unfortunately, we had to exclude electric buses such as the eCitaro from the selection for now. There will be more information about their integration into the game in the future. Thank you for understanding.

Many of you would like to see new buses in City Bus Manager. Therefore, we have decided to start a contest and let you decide which buses will be added to the game next.

Early Access Update 3 - Further Bug Fixes and Improvements

We have just released Update 1.0.3. We received a lot of suggestions, wishes and bug reports, thank you very much! 🙂 Please understand that it may take a while to process them.

Changelog:

  • Passenger numbers in large cities optimised (with existing savegames, it can take an ingame day until this shows up)
  • Willingness to use public transport starts with a lower value in larger cities, so that there is more time to unlock and expand larger buses at the beginning
  • Subsidies increased (especially in rural areas)
  • Performance improvements if you have many buses/employees (more optimisations will follow with the next updates)
  • Fixed a bug where menus in the main menu did not open and the game had to be restarted
  • Fixed a bug where buses did not park properly or did not reach their destination
  • Red exclamation mark indicating unreachable objects is now displayed more understandably
  • Employees without tasks use seats a little more often
  • Status "driving shift" for buses and bus drivers now additionally shows the start and end time of the respective shift
  • When assigning a shift, the bus driver with the lowest stress is now preselected by default
  • Korean characters are now supported
  • Fixed a bug in the shift plan where it was not always correctly displayed whether a bus driver could be assigned or not
  • Fixed a bug that caused a traffic jam on the way out
  • Many small bug fixes
