Dyson Sphere Program Patch Notes 0.8.20.7996

Dyson Sphere Program engineers,

We gradually improved the blueprint system. From this version0.0.000, the new Blueprint generated by the new production line manually built by the engineers will no longer have the problem of Sorters mismatch.

However, Bugs in the old version or some early MODs such as "Sorter quick copy" caused abnormal game data, and these abnormalities may remain in the blueprint generated by the production line of the old version. An abnormal blueprint may also contain mismatched sorters, and so on.

Therefore, for future Blueprint dissemination considerations, we hope our engineers can use the newly built production line in the version 0.8.20.7996 (or higher) when making Blueprints, and not copy Blueprints built lower than 0.8.20.7996 In addition, please delete and do not spread the Blueprint that reports the sorter error to prevent data errors* from spreading through the Blueprint. We will continue to optimize related issues to make the game more perfect.

*If there is an "Incorrect data of Sorter" prompt when copying the Blueprint, it means that the sorter data in the production line is incorrect and the Blueprint cannot be generated.

  • Adjusted the logic of the Blueprint copy mode. Now the Sorters will be checked before the Blueprint generate. If the Sorter's data is incorrect, the non-compliant Sorter(s) will be marked in red and the blueprint will not be generated.
  • Adjusted the logic of the Blueprint construction mode. Now the position and direction of the connection interface between the Sorter and the facilities will be checked.

In addition to the optimization and fix of the Blueprint system, today we also bring you a brand new "Performance Test" tool. You can use it to detect how much computer performance each part of your production line consumes. The test results of this tool will further guide the next optimization work.

Besides, today we also want to make a statement about the source code of Dyson Sphere Program: We have published part of the code, which is intended to support players in making Mods, but does not mean that our code can be published or posted wherever, who want.

  • Added sand and dust VFX for Arid Desert.
  • Added the "Performance Test" function to the statistics panel. You can see real-time CPU consumption, GPU rendering works and savedata length analysis to optimize the production line.
  • Added the real-time path calculation logic of the Dyson Sphere Rocket into the multi-threaded system.


Changes:
  • Modified the logic of automatic wrap-line longitude calculating in the blueprint area in the Blueprint copy mode.
  • Adjusted the logic of delete buildings in Blueprint. Now the Conveyor Belts connected to this building will be automatically removed.
  • Now the entries with both production and consumption of 0 are not displayed in the production statistics panel.


Bugfix:
  • Lowlevel code fix: Fixed the bug that the Conveyor Belt's renderer VRAM was not deleted after it had been deleted.
  • Fixed the bug that the slot connection may be misaligned when using the Blueprint to restore the Sorter.

Changes:
  • Adjusted the mouse pivot position of the Blueprint mode from the center to the starting point of Blueprint.


BugFix:
  • Fixed the bug in Blueprint mode that if several Conveyor Belts were input to one Conveyor Belt may broke the connection.
  • Fixed the bug in Blueprint Mode that Conveyor Belt could not connect to "dead spots" when the belts were dragged and built in batches.

We brought a memo tag function for you in today's update. You can mark the Conveyor Belt in advance while planning for a new assembly line to manage your production more smoothly.

  • Now you can add an icon tag on Conveyor Belt as a memo, and the memo icon tag can be replicated in Blueprint. Memo - your best friend for production line management.


Changes:
  • Now you can press the right mouse button to cancel the icon selection in the Blueprint/Blueprint set.
  • Now the space navigation obscured by planets won't be displayed when Icarus is standing on a planet surface.
  • Modified the collision detection in Blueprint build mode, in order to solve the problem occurs in savedata from the previous version caused by Blueprint applicate failure of collision detection between Conveyor Belt and Logistics Tower.
  • Removed the color hint that shows insufficient items in Blueprints

We received feedbacks about had problems with Blueprint snap, so we updated it in this patch and hope it can greatly reduce the difficulty of building Blueprints near the poles and in other situation. Let's take a look:

  • Now the Blueprint is able to snap to the pole automatically.
  • Added automatic snapping to the Blueprint Paste Mode. For Blueprints that across multiple tropics, it can automatically identify the rotation of the north and south poles and automatically align the latitude and longitude.
  • Added the auxiliary line of tropics in Blueprint Mode.


Change:
  • Modified the Blueprint UI layout of the copy and paste interface.


BugFix:
  • Fixed the bug that the location of the building may kept changing when dragging in the Blueprint Paste Mode.
