Hey everyone!

We’ve been focusing on development and going through your feedback since the official release.

Thank you for enjoying our game.

Today, we’d like to briefly inform you about an upcoming update in April.

We wanted to release this update in March, but due to covid issues there have been some delays in our schedule. Please accept our apologies for the delay and the lack of communication during that period.

This April’s update will bring you 3 new pieces of content.
  • First, a new character called ‘Jett’
  • Second, the ‘Drone’ system
  • Finally, a new NPC


‘Time to move’

The mysterious guy, Jett, who’s been showing his back this whole time is finally making a move!

Our new friend ‘Jett’ fights with a mechanical gauntlet. His deadly punch can knock out several enemies at once and he’s much harder to take down than other characters thanks to his big, strong frame.



‘Age means nothing!’

Remember the little kid beside Hank? Hank’s daughter, ‘Haley’, is a techie who knows a thing or two about drones. With Haley's help, we can now upgrade our mate ‘Drone’ (no longer need to see the same old drone)! Depending on your gameplay style, the drone will support you in many ways. You’ll soon be able to meet various types of drones such as a healer, dealer, etc.



‘One last potion won’t hurt anyone’

New NPC ‘Randolph’ coming to Undercity(the underground world)! ‘Randolph’ will appear once in every stage and offer players a useful potion for a buff. Just a small tip for Randolph will make the guy happy enough.


There are other things in development besides the ones we introduced. The contents above will be updated within April, and we’ll be back soon with a new character trailer and a specific schedule.

  1. Fixed a bug where it was impossible to continue during certain stages.
  2. Fixed a bug where the elite’s ATK and HP that increased per Danger Level were not applied.

    • Default elite stats : increase ATK 50%, increase HP 100%
    • Stats increased per Danger Level: increase ATK 20%, increase HP 20%

  1. Removed normal and elite monster battles from Boss Mac and Boss Charlotte’s stages.
  2. Removed normal and elite monster battles from the stage before Boss Cyclopes.
  3. Changed the level design of the sewers stage. (Increase the number of platforms that require double jumping, wall climbing or dashing to reach.)
  4. Added a feature that increases all ATK by 50% in Easy Mode.

  2. Reduced the HP of all monsters according to the new progression system
  3. Increased the casting delay between skills when Boss Panus is berserk

  1. Players can upgrade as much as they want through Nautilus’ core showcase by using Red Gems.

    • Whenever a core is purchased, the price of the same type of core increases by 300.
    • It is not affected by the character characteristic [Core Upgrade]’s double level up effect.
    • Can use restock.
    • The restock button does not appear if the player is not in a situation where restock can be used (when there are less than 3 cores of one core type that can be upgraded).

    • Tips or details about the story will appear at random.

Dev Note #4

Hello everyone!

We have been closely reviewing all of the feedback sent to us since official release.
Among the feedback, we think that the following are the two major issues.

  • Combat fatigue due to a single long gameplay session
  • Combat becomes boring due to the high HP of bosses and enemies

Both issues can be resolved simply by reducing stages and lowering HP. However we would like to address more fundamental causes instead.

When failing a challenge in a roguelike game, players should be able to imagine the build for the next challenge and actually create the build envisioned within the game. A system that allows players to address unexpected situations resulting at random is also needed.

We are aware that such experiences are not fully provided with the current Blade Assault systems. As such, we’ll continue to improve and add systems to create an even more enjoyable game.

  3. Improve so that certain cores can be leveled up as much as wanted on the Nautilus

  • Fixed a bug where Jenny’s weapon chain sickle was not shining.
  • Fixed a bug where during Kil’s chainsaw skill, Kil’s chainsaw weapon grade [Top Blade], Kil’s axe weapon upgrade [Whirlwind], and Jenny’s chain sickle weapon upgrade [Blade Dance], the skill ends and damage not dealt when knocked back, frozen, or shocked.


[Stage & Monster]
  • Fixed a bug where within the Esperanza’s Hall map, the activate interaction UI appears on the box object.
  • Fixed a bug where Jenny’s dash clones passes through the green vine obstacle in the Abandoned Hospital map.
  • Fixed a bug where players could avoid boss Electra ‘s thunderbolt attack when sitting down.
  • Fixed a bug where the burrow worms could not attack when the player is standing on the stairs.
  • Fixed a bug where boss Cyclops’ name does not appear.
  • Fixed a bug where Ratmotan’s first jump attack sometimes strikes downwards.
  • Fixed a bug where it was possible to move before the cut scene ends when meeting Ratmotan for the second time.

  • Fixed a bug with Eternal Flame where the max stack amount is not shown according to level.
  • Fixed a bug where HP was not recovered even when Tenacious Core [Healing] was above Lv 2.
  • Fixed a bug where if one Restocks at one showcase when there are multiple core showcases after selecting Character Traits sub - [Core Type Changer], the amount of stock remaining is not updated after going to another showcase.
  • Fixed a bug where if one Restocks at one gear box when there are multiple gear boxes after selecting Character Traits sub - [Jack in the Box], the amount of stock remaining is not updated after going to another gear box.
  • Fixed a bug where the DMG of active gear [Iron Maiden] increases when the risk gear [Poisoned Cleaver] that adds DMG is obtained.
  • Fixed a bug where the Linear Rocket DMG increase for Linear Rocket Lv 4 was applied as a skill DMG increase.


[UI]
  • Fixed a bug where after obtaining rewards during the stage heading towards the boss Cyclops, the interaction option “activate” becomes possible at the stage port.
  • There was an issue where activating EO’s core showcase in the Jazz Bar the text “Upgrade cores by using Roses.” was not shown.
  • Fixed a bug where when Freeze : Execute is leveled up, the Core Case shows the current level’s chance instead of the increased chance even though the information window UI shows the increased chance.
