Dear Player,

Myth of Empires will have scheduled maintenance starting from Dec.24 at 21:00 UTC. The maintenance is expected to last one and half an hour. Please arrange your time accordingly. Thank you for your support and understanding.
Below is the list of our latest updates:

Optimizations:
1. Reduced the Guild Level and Proficiency required for unlocking Glazed Tile Arrow Tower.
2. Now the damage of Ballista and Mangonel will decrease when their ammo traveled farther than 130 meters (the effective range) and will plummet to 5% damage when traveled farther than 150 meters.
3. Increased the effective range of all Watchtowers from 60 meters to 150 meters.
4. Reduced the siege damage taken by all Watchtowers.
5. Now the Watchtower can only be placed within the effective range of Boundary Marker.
6. Now the Player won’t gain Proficiency by blocking with weapons.
7. Now the player won’t gain Proficiency if the damage dealt by blocking is zero.
8. Optimized the location of the character’s alighting from a Chariot (Horse-drawn Carriage) when it’s inclined.
9. Optimized the performance of the Fair.
10. Optimized the illuminating effect of Lamppost.
11. Optimized the drop rule of Sky Lantern and reduced the possibility of it being stuck in the air.
12. Optimized the windblown hair performance when the character is wearing Vital Tiger Outfit.

Fixes:
1. Fixed an issue causing some alliances to be not shown in the Alliance List.
2. Fixed an issue causing the elephant to be stuck when moving back in the river.
3. Fixed the situation where there is a chance that the horse can’t be found in the Subordinate panel when putting it into the Guild Depot.
4. Fixed an issue causing some players’ horses to be unable to revive.
5. Fixed an issue causing Art of Strategy - Practice Makes Perfect to be invalid.
6. Fixed some issues related to in-game notifications.
7. Optimized the Red Packet and fixed some situations where the players couldn’t open the Red Packet.

Dear Player,

We are excited to announce that the New Year Event has already launched on December 23rd. As the first holiday-themed event in the early access version, we introduced four events featured by unique content, exciting gameplay, and new experiences. New Year Event will run until January 3rd. You don’t want to miss the festive atmosphere in Myth of Empires, so stay tuned!



I. New Year Treasure Hunting
From December 23rd to January 3rd, you will run into high-tier warriors lurking around the world map whose mission is to guard the new year’s treasure chest. Defeat them and open the treasure chest, and you’ll have the chance to get valuable treasures below:
1. New Year Exclusive Interior Decoration: Lantern, Endless Knot, and Firecrackers.
2. Fireworks: Bloom & Prosper, Outshine Flowers, Hundred Flowers, Purple & Red, and Jumping Jacks. You can use a torch to ignite them.
3. Guild Rubbing Scrolls: Rubbing scroll includes “Lantern,” “Vital Tiger,” “Auspicious Cloud,” and “Magpie.” You can use the rubbing scrolls on the banner.
4. Turtle Coin of White Metal: You can use this officially minted turtle-shaped coin to trade more than a hundred copper coins.
5. Jiaozi (Chinese dumpling): Imagine the taste of a light dough wrapping around meats& vegetables. Jiaozi, the true mouth-watering euphoria… You can eat Jiaozi to restore Fullness and recover from Toxicity.
6. New Lv.10 and Lv.30 Weapons

II. New Year Outfit
Complete the daily quest to get the fragments of New Year Outfit. You can unlock the outfit after collecting 30 fragments. After that, you can toggle outfit mode in the equipment panel and right-click to unlock the corresponding outfit.



III. Snowball Fighting
Complete the daily quest to get the snowball. You can throw it to your friends and provide them with a buff for 20 seconds, during which their HP, Max Stamina, and related regeneration rate will be increased.



IV. Sky Lantern
On December 23rd at 16:00 UTC, you are going to see a swarm of gently floating sky lanterns carrying treasure chests in the night sky. Different treasures will drop down randomly, including:
1. Big and Small Red Packet. Open the red packet, and you have a chance to get Turtle Coin of White Metal, Quenching Essence, and Black Stone.
2. New Year Exclusive Interior Decoration: Lantern, Endless Knot, and Firecrackers.
3. Fireworks: Bloom & Prosper, Outshine Flowers, Hundred Flowers, Purple & Red, Jumping Jacks. You can use a torch to ignite them.
4. Jiaozi.



In the meantime, you will also have a chance to get Cloud-piercing Arrow by defeating high-tier warriors on the world map. You can shoot the cloud-piercing arrow into the sky and summon a sky lantern randomly.

Lastly, we are further optimizing the performance of War Elephant Tank and War Rhino Tank in the game, and they will be introduced shortly after.
