New Patch for GRAVEN Has Landed!

Hello everyone,

There is a new patch for GRAVEN, ready for you to download! This one includes multiple fixes and changes that you've been asking for. That said, thank you very much for reporting the issues and for your continuous support! Hopefully your gameplay will be as smooth as ever now.

  • Potentially fixed profile wiping that occurs on level load
  • Add ini variable to allow the HUB travel totem to be displayed at any progress amount
  • Fix Knotted Stave not having an inventory description
  • Fix crystal ammo not being purchasable in the shop
  • Fix [potential] for GRAVICK not respawning without killing him
  • Allow GRAVICK to respawn post campaign
  • Add more strict placement for some objects to prevent clipping through geometry
  • Fix elevators getting into a state where they will no longer work on loading a saved profile
  • Small performance fixes
  • Update loot to not spawn items the player has not yet unlocked the ability to use
  • Fix pressure plates logic getting inverted
  • Fix a rare issue where H2Boss wouldn’t spawn after cutscene
  • Fix a resonating destructible wall in Blackhouse Bog not having proper textures




Even More Bugs Fixed - New Patch for GRAVEN is Live

Greetings, everyone!

A new patch has just gone live, bringing an end to several unpleasant bugs and in general making your time in the game more enjoyable with several quality of life improvements.

  • Fix using totem to travel to other HUBs not saving the level to the profile data
  • Fix unlocking the Grimwine’s Gate achievement by walking up to it
  • Update HUB2 Generator/Crystal puzzle cogs to have a glow material
  • Fix spawning into HUB3 picking random spots to spawn the player
  • Fix AIs not being able to move in some area of HUB3
  • Fix loot drops being a bit barren

Another Big Patch for GRAVEN Has Arrived!

Once more we come to you bearing good tidings - today marks exactly 2 weeks since the full release of GRAVEN, and we have just released our third patch since then! This one focuses on performance optimization and further bugfixing.

To point out a few major improvements, the annoying issue with disappearing bosses is now gone, respawning locations after continuing saved games are more reliable and various soft-locks have been removed. You can check out the full list of changes below, and an updated list of known issues here.

A Big Patch for GRAVEN is Live!

We hope you keep to the Parallel Path, the development team is certainly doing their best not to stray - a single day has passed since the first patch to GRAVEN was published, and here we are with another update, with even more significant fixes and improvements than the last. We hope this will brighten your day and you will be able to spend a pleasant weekend enjoying the game!

Highlights of the patch are balancing changes to the stamina system, the addition of NPCs that will fully heal you in each hub and gold pickups after player death, not to mention fixing various bugs that could have blocked your progress through the game. Full change log is available below.

We cannot stress this enough - please, keep sending your feedback, suggestions and bug reports if you wish to help us make the game better. We also keep an updated list of known issues here, with tips that might help you should you encounter some of the as yet unsolved bugs.

  • Added gold pickups from player death equal to the gold lost penalty
  • Stamina increase of 20%, 0.3 second reduction to time before stamina starts regenerating, 14% increase to stamina regen speed. Nerfed death penalty on easier difficulties. Small buff to Mighty Kick damage, knockback.

30-year-old cult-classic FPS gets a stylish, punishing successor

The newly released Graven contains all of the hallmarks of the so-called 'boomer shooter.' Open-ended environments? Check. Searching for keys? Check? Demonic baddies? Check. But rather than cribbing from Doom or Wolfenstein 3D, its chief inspirations are two other id-published cult classics - Heretic and Hexen. Developed by Raven Software and released on PC back in 1994 and 1995 respectively, they transposed the 3D shooter to a dark fantasy setting, swapping pistols and rocket launchers for swords and magic.
