Capacity mechanics in our games

[p]If you take a closer look at the games we have released in the past and are currently working on, you will notice something in common. It is transportation and capacity control.[/p][p]We have been working on transport simulators for many years. For example, in Bus World, your task is to transport passengers safely and on time while driving a bus. If you create your own route in Free Mode, your task will also be to choose the right bus so that everyone fits. If the route is long and you decide to do it during rush hours, then obviously it is better to choose a large, spacious bus. After all, if you choose a small one, not all passengers will fit in it. But for a short or night trip, a small bus would be more suitable, because it consumes less fuel, which costs money.[/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink]We decided to implement an economy based on capacity in one of the monthly modes in the American Dream DLC for Fly Corp. In it, planes spend money on fuel when departing from an airport, so flying half-empty or with almost no passengers is extremely unprofitable. You can lose more than you earn.[/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink]In the classic Fly Corp modes, you constantly have to keep an eye on the capacity of airports and planes and carefully organize transfer hubs.[/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink]Check Inn, a game about building hotels and checking guests in, also features capacity logic. Guests arrive in waves, and our task is to build rooms according to their wishes. The faster we check in a guest, the higher the rating we receive. The faster they are served by service rooms (kitchen, laundry, sauna, etc.), the faster they will leave the hotel. In the game, we monitor the hotel's capacity and make sure there is always enough space for everyone. That's why Check Inn, even though it doesn't look like it, gives a gaming experience similar to Fly Corp. By the way, Check Inn will be leaving early access and going into full release next month. So we are really looking forward to your feedback on the game.[/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink]At the same time, we have already started working on our next game, which will also have the word Corp in its title, and the idea of capacity control will also play a key role in it. We can't say more at this point, but the announcement of this game will most likely take place before the end of this year.[/p][p]The idea of capacity control has been present in our games for a long time and will be used again in new projects, in its best form. We strive to continue making games that can provide dozens, or even hundreds, of enjoyable hours.[/p][p]Thank you for staying with us! Stay tuned for news, because very soon we will show you something new![/p]

A new update is coming soon!

[p]For those players who haven't played Fly Corp for a while, there will soon be a great reason to return to the game. We are preparing a new update that will add the “Cities of your choice” mode. This mode will be similar to Discover the World, but this time the player will choose the cities they want to discover. Of course, there will be some restrictions, meaning that cities that are too close to each other cannot be added to the game. A similar mode was previously added as a monthly update for the American Dream DLC (where the screenshot for this post was taken from), and after receiving a lot of enthusiastic feedback, we decided to expand it into the main game.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]In addition, we have analyzed your feedback over the past month and have included plans to fix some of the bugs found in the game in the near future. We will inform you more about these changes in the game when this update is released.[/p][p]We plan to release this update in the first half of September, which is very soon. Stay tuned for news so you don't miss it![/p][p]As always, we invite you to our Discord server to discuss the update - http://discord.gg/invite/9eHyYap and to subscribe to our page on Steam - https://store.steampowered.com/developer/kishmish[/p][p][/p]

Update 1.8.4 - New monthly mode for DLC and other improvements!

The new monthly mode for the American Dream DLC is called “Cities of your choice”. In it, you will have to choose the cities you want to include in the game. To do this, you need to open a special map mode where all cities available for inclusion in the game are displayed in gray. You can select any of them at any convenient time.

[h3]Also in this update:[/h3]

- The Great Lakes have been added to the US map in the American Dream DLC

- Fixed a bug with the playtime counter
- Fixed a bug where upgrading all aircraft on a route did not update their sale price
- Fixed a bug where clicking the pause button would start building a route if there was a city under the button at that moment
- Now, after completing a stage in Ladder mode in the American Dream DLC, the game exits to the free play menu instead of the main menu
- Fixed a bug where selling planes of level 2 and above would give you more money than usual
- Made adjustments to the French localization
- Fixed some errors in the Korean localization of city names
- Added some translations into Spanish, Portuguese, Turkish, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, and Arabic

We are happy to strive to make the game even better. We hope you enjoy the new monthly mode. As with previous modes, you have a limited time to try it out. However, after a month, we will launch a cycle of monthly game modes from the very beginning. This is a great opportunity to play game modes you may have missed before.

Update 1.8.3 - New monthly game mode for DLC and other changes

Another month has passed, which means that we are ready to introduce a new monthly mode for the American Dream DLC. It's called “Popular City”. Its quirk is that all passengers want to fly to one single city. This city is chosen randomly and changes periodically. That means you will have to constantly keep track of the alternating passenger flow.

This mode will be available for a month, and when it is over we plan to publish the next one. However, “Popular City”, as well as the previous monthly game modes, will still return as part of the mode rotation.

Other than that, the update contains minor fixes to both the main game and the DLC.

Update 1.8.2 - new monthly mode for American Dream DLC!

The biggest change in this update is related to the American Dream DLC. It now has a new monthly mode “City on Demand”, which has replaced the previous one. The essence of the mode is that in it you can unlock a random city on demand when it is convenient for you. Of course, you won't be able to unlock thousands of cities, as each state has a limit on their number. However, the new method of opening cities transforms the game experience. We plan to replace City on Demand with the next mode in a month.

[h2]Also here's what we did in this update:[/h2]
- Improved the quality of some interface elements
- Fixed a rare issue where an arrow pointing to an overcrowded city could appear in the center of the screen and stay there
- Corrected the conditions for the supersonic airplane event to occur
- Fixed an issue where the stats screen would sometimes incorrectly display the time spent in a scenario
- Now in the Free Mode of DLC American Dream cities in the state of Alaska unlock correctly

Also, we would like to remind you that we have recently added game acceleration by pressing F key.

Please share your impressions about the new game mode! Thank you for playing Fly Corp!
