Fly Corp on Mac and Dark Mode are available!

Today is an important day for Fly Corp! The game is finally available for Mac. Also, we're glad to show you the new update with Dark Mode and other game improvements.

We've got many requests to release the game on Mac. We faced some challenges while porting Fly Corp to Mac, but now they're solved for you to play on your favorite Apple computer.

Meanwhile, we released the update which adds Dark Mode to the game. The question of adding an alternative color palette for the map and interface became particularly acute after we made the colors in the game lighter last year. When playing indoors with dim lighting, at night, the dark theme looks especially nice and doesn't strain your eyes.

But this is not the only change. Here's more:
 • The color palette in the game has been slightly modified. A darker shade of blue is now used for text, which improves readability. The color of water has also been slightly changed.
 • The logic for displaying popular scenarios has been reworked. Now, only scenarios that were uploaded among the 60 most recent ones can be displayed in this section. Previously, the same scenarios were displayed on this screen for too long. If you want to find the highest-rated scenarios, sort scenarios by rating.
 • The position of the Peruvian city of Desaguadero on the map has been corrected.
 • A bug has been fixed where validation was not counted and the scenario could not be published on the server if a restart was made during the first playthrough of the scenario and successfully completed afterwards. A warning has also been added that meaningless scenarios (e.g., those that can be completed without any actions) or those that are only aimed at obtaining achievements should not be uploaded to the server. If this rule is violated multiple times, the player will be unable to publish scenarios in the future.
 • A bug in the event involving the deduction of planes that occurred during game restart has been fixed.
 • The achievement for completing the game has been properly awarded.
 • Other minor edits have been made.

In one of the upcoming updates, something that players have been requesting for a long time will be added. By the way, those who have subscribed to the game's newsletter via email already know what it is, so subscribe as well. You can do this by clicking on the email icon next to the "Subscribe!" label in the game's main menu.

We planned several updates which will bring most requested features to the game for upcoming months. But for now, we are publishing patch 1.0.2 with minor fixes, which will improve quality of the game.

- You can now see how many pages are there in the list of Custom Scenarios and jump to any specific page.
- You can now publish no more than five Custom Scenarios per day.
- Fixed the 5-second countdown timer (in previous version, you could not trigger Active pause if less than 2 seconds remained until you lose).

Fly Corp has been released from Early Access!

Today is the day when Fly Corp leaves the Early Access stage of development!
How the game has been developed
Let’s take a look back in time and recall how we developed Fly Corp.

The idea of such game and very first versions appeared back in 2019, when we didn’t even know how many things we are going to add to the game. The whole initial idea was only about one game mode, but each month of development gave us a quite clear clue that we are actually working on a quite interesting and distinctive minimalist strategy. We had more and more ideas which were implemented sooner or later.

In 2021, the game finally saw Early Access release. The first public version already had both scenarios and Discover the World mode (by the way, the last one was unbeatable, and the whole competition was about the number of unlocked territories). We started to receive lots of useful feedback from you, and some of your ideas found their way into the game. We figured out that some players didn’t want to constantly compete with others. Rather, they just wanted to build their transport network. This is how Free Mode appeared, where you can’t lose because of an airport being overloaded.

Visuals have also seen many changes. Step by step, we made user interface more convenient, and game map - more appealing to look at. Random events got accompanied by corresponding pictures.

There were some large updates as well. Scenario editor was added, allowing players to create scenarios with their own conditions and specifications. Each day had a new scenario for players, where they can compete with others in the Leaderboard. Daily Scenarios breathed even more live into the game. We’d also like to thank our players who created and shared interesting scenarios - some of them made their way to Daily Mode.

And now, when the game goes into the full-fledged release stage, we are happy to present to you the next stage of Fly Corp’s life.
The epic release update
Now, each player can upload their scenario to the server, into the general scenario list. Everyone is free to open Custom Scenarios and dive into the stories created by other players.

Together with today’s update, we brought many other minor changes to the game.

We already have some important updates planned for the future. We’ll keep making the game better for you after the release.
***
We’d like to say a huge “Thank You” to all players who’ve been following the project for all this time. We welcome new players and invite all of you to a fascinating world of passenger transportations and to cozy community in our social media!
