[h3]Special Note: Development Updates are after a week this time because I'm going on weekly vacation starting this Saturday - snowboarding in Italy. I'm the only dev besides our pixel artist so you can expect next Development Updates in 3 weeks time. Have a great time everyone![/h3]

In the last week we were mainly working on finishing the new boss, adding new meta progression (like Perk Rerolling or fast traveling inside Astral World), translating all reworked meta upgrades to polish and improving the tutorial.

[h2]✅ Added:[/h2]
  • [Bosses] Added few more attacks to the new boss.
  • [Meta Progression] Added 5 new meta progression upgrades.
  • [Meta Progression] Translated all reworked meta progression upgrades to polish. There were 120+ reworked meta progression upgrades, but I wasn't translating them until nearly all of them were done.
  • [Perks] Added Perk Rerolling with 1 reroll available at the beginning of each run.
  • [Quests] Added Perk Rerolling as one of the possible quests rewards.
  • [QOL / Tutorial] Next tutorial missions now start right after finishing previous one. There is no longer need to walk back to the NPC again after finishing each tutorial step.


[h2]⚙️ Fixed:[/h2]
  • [Revives] Fixed a bug where some revives were able to revive you once per level instead of only once for entire run.

In the last 2 weeks we were mainly working on nearly finishing the new boss, balancing other existing bosses and more changes getting us closer to Steam Deck Verified badge.

[h2]✅ Added:[/h2]
  • [Enemies] Replaced Earth Boss with a real one. Thalor, the Forest King is waiting for you!
  • [Bosses] Added screen shake to many boss attacks.
  • [QOL] Added information "All the effects of the merged spell(Sacrifice) will remain intact." at the end of effect description when trying to do the nested spells merging (merging already merged spell into another).
  • [Steam Deck] Added more changes related to getting Steam Deck Verified badge (enlarging texts in UI elements when using a Steam Deck).


[h2]🔄 Changed:[/h2]
  • [Bosses] Changed summons of all bosses. They will now spawn stronger summons based on their level, but number of their summons has been reduced.
  • [Bosses] Reduced bosses HP on levels 2+. They were overbuffed last time.


[h2]⚙️ Fixed:[/h2]
  • [Characters] Fixed a bug where sometimes enemies were not fully highlighted when taking damage.
  • [Audio] All sounds volume in boss fights are now affected by how close to the sound's source the player is standing.

In the last 2 weeks we were mainly working on new enemy, weapon and spell. We have also started working on a new boss!

[h2]✅ Added:[/h2]
  • [Enemies] Added new enemy named Harpist Lamia.
  • [Magic Weapons] Added new Magic Weapon named Skull Staff.
  • [Audio] Replaced temporary soundtrack inside The Void (final level) - it's still temporary, but much more fitting than before.
  • [Spells] Added new spell named Snake's Bite.
  • [Astral World] Added 9 new Meta Progression upgrades.
  • [Elemental Wizards] Lightning Wizard's Basic Spell now has 20% smaller projectile size.
  • [Steam Deck] Added few changes to increase readability of texts on Steam Deck.


[h2]🔄 Changed:[/h2]
  • [Spells] Replaced Gorgon's Lullaby spell sprite.
  • [Player] Player's dash now deals Normal Damage instead of Air Damage (after getting power allowing you to deal damage while dashing). This had to be done because Air Wizard's dashes were dealing too much damage otherwise.
  • [Bestiary] Reduced number of bosses needed to kill to get their Prey Rewards from the Bestiary. Bosses Prey Rewards were also buffed to give more currencies.


[h2]⚙️ Fixed:[/h2]
  • [Currencies] Player will no longer get increased amount of currencies from Bestiary and Challenges after unlocking upgrade increasing number of all crystals and elemental orbs gained).
  • [Projectiles] All projectiles now have a minimum size of 10% of their original size. Before size reduction could make the projectiles have a negative size and thus making their size to be actually "increasing" while in reality they were being reduced to negative values.

In the last 2 weeks we were mainly working on adding necessary changes for the Steam Deck Verified badge, fixing bugs related to controllers, new enemy and QOL improvements.

[h2]✅ Added:[/h2]
  • [Enemies] Added new enemy named Kobold Priestess.
  • [Settings] Added special Steam Deck Mode setting (enabled by default). Thanks to it some texts and UI elements are enlarged.
  • [Settings] Added option to change movement keys so it's no longer always bind to AWSD / arrow keys.
  • [Totem Spells] Added showing range of Healing Totem and Totem of Immortality.
  • [QOL / Inventory] When comparing weapons in the Inventory, player will now know which weapon he has currently equipped.


[h2]🔄 Changed:[/h2]
  • [Enemies] Moved all temporary enemies from level 3 to level 4.
  • [Meta Progression] Updated Starting Items upgrades descriptions.
  • [Settings] Lowered default SFX volume (78% => 63%).


[h2]⚙️ Fixed:[/h2]
  • [Controllers] Fixed a bug where the game was sometimes not recognizing plugged in controllers.
  • [Items] Fixed few typos in polish items descriptions.
  • [Curses] Curse of Sad World will no longer affect the UI.

In the last 2 weeks we were mainly working on finishing reworking meta progression, new enemy, QOL changes and bug fixes.

[h2]✅ Added:[/h2]
  • [Meta Progression] Finished reworking meta progression. Now elemental upgrades are way more rewarding to unlock! (they permanently buff your wizards)
  • [Meta Progression] Added 37 new meta progression upgrades.
  • [Enemies] Added new enemy named Sentinel Toad.
  • [Items] Number of currencies gained from Crystals and Elemental Orbs items are now multiplied by current level and difficulty level.
  • [QOL / Shop] Added option to instantly move bought Health Potions to the Inventory instead of always using them on buy.
  • [QOL / Curses] Curse of Eternal Battle will no longer spawn enemies while player is inside the shop.
  • [QOL] When healing for less than 0.1 health then only "+" sign will be shown above your head instead of confusing "+ 0.0"
  • [Player] Set player's minimum movement speed to 5 and maximum movement speed to 75.
  • [Spells] Improved visuals of Cosmic Shotgun spell projectile.


[h2]🔄 Changed:[/h2]
  • [Bestiary] Increased amount of currencies gained for killing monsters in the Bestiary.
  • [Curses] Lowered chance of getting Curse of the Maze on 2+ difficulty level.
  • [Challenges] Increased Lucky Survivor's health limit required to finish the challenge from 35 to 60


[h2]⚙️ Fixed:[/h2]
  • [Effects] Fixed a bug where take damage or apply curse vignette effects were overlapping with game's UI when pausing the game making it hard to use Settings, read dialogues, etc when on low HP or right after getting cursed.
  • [Perks] Added missing dots and spaces in few Perks descriptions.
  • [Inventory] Basic Spell damage now shows correct value in the Inventory.
  • [Inventory] Animation of currently selected Inventory Slot will no longer disappear after finishing Spellweaver's Soul tutorial.
  • [Enemies] Fixed a bug where enemies applying debuffs like poison could apply it only until player has resisted it once.
