Dear Wizards,

Another patch today which is focused on reducing the grind. All elemental upgrades prices has been lowered. We have decided to push it today because it was really needed.

[h2]🔄 Changed:[/h2]
  • [Progression] Reduced prices of elemental upgrades in elemental altars in the Astral World by about 35%. There was too much grind required to unlock everything.
  • [Progression] Reduced cost of unlocking new items based on their rarity [75].
  • [Settings] Control Hints are now automatically disabled after starting 2 run or after finishing the level on the first run. Before they were disabled after starting a third run, but it seems that it was too late.

It's time for another small bug fix patch!

[h2]⚙️ Fixed:[/h2]
  • [Resurrection] Fixed a bug where sometimes resurrection powers could make you fall below 0 health, making you unable to do anything because the game had no idea what to do about it.
  • [Level Generation] All chests, NPCs and objects should no longer spawn in walls.
  • [Challenges] When selecting any challenge requiring you to play on exact difficulty, the difficulty is automatically changed and cannot be manually changed.
  • [Enemies] Fixed a bug where Rotten Nightmare could sometimes not play walk animation when going backwards.


[h2]❌ Removed:[/h2]
  • [Cheats] Cheat console has been disabled so you will no longer open it accidentally.

Today's patch is mostly about QOL changes and bug fixes.

  • [Visibility] Added special health bar for elite enemies.
  • [QOL] Added showing Current Health at top of the right panel in inventory.
  • [QOL] Added text "All unlocked items can appear on all maps. Using a newly unlocked item is a one-time bonus." at the bottom of the description when unlocking new items. There were way too many people confused about it.


[h2]🔄 Changed:[/h2]
  • [Cutscene] Initial cutscene no longer has texts in 2 languages displayed at once when using language other than english or chinese.


[h2]⚙️ Fixed:[/h2]
  • [Optimization] Game should no longer lag briefly after loading the level.
  • [Level Generation] Fixed a bug where sometimes bosses were not spawning after loading the game.

Today's patch is mostly about QOL changes and bug fixes.

  • [QOL] Added option to skip Astral Forge upgrade.
  • [QOL] Added displaying currently selected difficulty level in the left panel of the inventory.


[h2]🔄 Changed:[/h2]
  • [Visibility] Danger Icon is now more visible.
  • [QOL] Increased duration of exclamation mark appearing above enemies before their attacks.
  • [QOL] When flying enemies get out of their patrol zone (close to their spawn point), they now return to it 5x => 10x faster. They now also start going back 20-150% sooner (based on enemy). Challenge Rooms should be more pleasant to do now.
  • [Artifacts] Reduced rotation of orbs granted by Magic Orbs Booster I artifact [54%] and increased time between firing projectiles by orbs [28%].
  • [Perks] Reduced rotation of orbs granted by Orb Speed Boost perk [30%] and increased time between firing projectiles by orbs [20%].


[h2]⚙️ Fixed:[/h2]
  • [Enchantments] Fixed a bug where if your basic spell could pierce walls thanks to the Ghost Projectile enchantment, the effect was removed after collecting power transforming basic spell into laser beam.
  • [Enchantments] Laser Beam now spawns all effects exactly in the aimed direction.
  • [Trap Room] Game should now always properly recognize when you have exited the Trap Room. This bug was causing you to sometimes lose all lifesteal powers after exiting the Trap Room.
  • [Minimap] Minimap should no longer be flickering after zooming out when using a widescreen monitor in the Astral World.
  • [Challenges] It's now impossible to manually change wizard element or difficulty level when Fiery World, Icy World, Earth World or Base Power challenge is selected. If you happen to have wrong wizard or difficulty selected with this challenge active, then the game will automatically select correct wizard and difficulty level.
  • [Challenges] Fixed a bug where Enchanted Orb of a wrong element could spawn with Fiery World, Icy World or Earth World challenge active. At least it didn't drop to me after the change anymore.


[h2]❌ Removed:[/h2]
  • [Chests] Removed Explosive Chests which could be destroyed only using any explosion. They were too confusing for most of the players.,
  • [Doors] Removed Explosive Doors which could be destroyed only using any explosion. They were too confusing for most of the players.

Today's patch is mostly about darkening background, greatly reducing knockback and doing small balance of spells. We have heard your complaints about your spells doing a lot less damage than you would like to because enemies got knocked back too far after getting hit once and thus avoiding the rest of the damage from other spells. Oh, we have also slightly nerfed goblins.

  • [Visibility] Darkened background in all levels. We care about your eyes and expect to see more similar changes soon related to background decorations.

  • [Enemies] Reduced hitbox of Goblin Gladiator's shield by 16%. His helmet doesn't block projectiles anymore. Now it should be easier to deal damage to him.
  • [Enemies] Reduced base healing of Goblin Shaman [81].
  • [Artifacts] Reduced Magic Orbs Enlarger enlarging [50],
  • [Perks] Reduced Orb Size Boost enlarging [25, 30, 35, 45] => [15, 20, 25, 30]
  • [Balance] Changed tier of Phoenix Fury spell [Very] and increased it's base damage [37].
  • [Balance] Changed tier of Double Ice Wave spell [Rare] and increased it's base damage [13].

  • [Interactions] Removed performance issues occuring when interacting with objects. It was related to yesterday's patch and we are really sorry about the rage caused by it.
  • [Enemies] Enemies will no longer refuse to play their death animation if they have died in the same frame they got frozen or petrified. This should also fix the bug of bosses "freezing" after death sometimes.
  • [Saves] Fixed a bug where if you have managed to save the game while having 0 health, then you couldn't do anything after loading the save file.
  • [Meta Progression] Air Arcana upgrade now displays proper text when it's not upgraded yet.
