This is the biggest update since the initial release of the Alien Dawn Playtest, and Jessica and I are excited about it because it’s finally in a state where we can really start to shape the game the way we’ve always envisioned with the groundwork now mostly laid.

- Added AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution renderer for increased VR performance. Special thanks to “fholger” for creating the most excellent Unreal mod for us to utilize
- Rewrote Player IK from scratch
- Added Full Body IK from VR Players perspective (With option to see only hands as well)
- Desktop PC Players now also have a full Skeletal Mesh body in the first person perspective
- Items now attach directly to Players body, that other Players can see as well
- Completely rewrote the Desktop Animation Blueprint from scratch for a more traditional FPS experience. Special thanks to “CyberLOD” for the help implementing his awesome work
- Desktop Players now actually hold items in hands with proper Aim Down Sights
- Added keyboard action keys and player status bars (Health, Sprint) to Desktop PC Hud
- Added the following animations to the Desktop Player Character:
- Walking and crouching in all directions
- Sliding
- Leaning left and right
- Punching
- Holding one handed and two handed items
- Swinging melee weapons
- Open doors and sliding doors
- Picking up items
- Reloading weapons
- Swapping and holstering items
- Free Look
- VR & Desktop Players can now melee punch if hands are empty
- Players in VR now Sprint instantly from pressing the thumbstick button
- Players can now stand on top of vehicles and aircraft while they’re moving to make vehicles more versatile for combat
- Players map now loads into vehicles and acts as a GPS system if player has map in their inventory
- Added 4 new Co-op difficulty modes:
- WELCOME TO EARTH (1 to 3 Players)
- CLOSE ENCOUNTER (3 to 7 Players)
- NO PEACE (7 to 10 Players)
- CHECKMATE (10+ Players)
- Soldiers can now see player from farther away
- Added 50 round drum for Sci-Fi Shotty
- Alien now drops 50 round drum for Sci-Fi Shotty
- Procedural world locations now delete static meshes nearby to clear the area to stop important pathways from being blocked
- Added loading screen on level changes and all audio fades out when level changes
- VR and Desktop players can now choose which Anti-Aliasing method to render the game with (MSAA, TAA), along with a Sharpening Filter slider
- Added an FAQ section to Main Menu
