Update v1.2.14: New Consumables, Cards and Challenges

[p]Hi, all! Let’s cool off in the heat of summer with a bone-chilling Draft of Darkness update! This update adds two new challenges, several new consumable items, and new moves (cards) to the game. It also includes multiple bugfixes to improve your overall experience.[/p][p][/p][h2]Survivor's Consumable Pack[/h2][p]Consumable items are essential tools for survival and strategy, adding variety to both exploration and encounters. This update introduces a few new consumables with simple but powerful effects—perfect for filling the gaps in your strategy at just the right moment.[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Ammo Box: Gives you permanent resources during exploration or temporary ones in encounters—this might just be the lifeline that saves your run.[/p]
  • [p]Inspiro-Berry: A refreshing drink that grants inspiration. Use it during exploration to reach that epic card you’ve unlocked and want to build your strategy around—or during encounters to select and play a card for free when you’re in a tight spot.[/p]
  • [p]Wooden Plank: Simple but effective. Grants Block, whether for tanking a boss hit or triggering a Block combo.[/p]
[p]These new consumables can be obtained in two ways:[/p]
  1. [p]Purchase them as starting items from the Credits Shop, allowing you to select them at the start of a run.[/p]
  2. [p]Unlock the Survivor’s Consumable Pack under the Unlocks tab to add them to the general drop pool and shop stock during runs.[/p]
[p][/p][h2]Punch, Kick and Learn in New Ways[/h2][p]I’ve been wanting to expand the unarmed move set for a while. It’s a category that all characters can use, and I think it benefits greatly from more variety and combo potential.[/p][p]This update adds two epic moves and three rare moves, including new Combo moves and a move that lets you upgrade your deck in a new way![/p][p][/p][p]The epic moves are unlocked using Challenge Gems in the Credits Shop. The rare moves are added to the drop pool by default.[/p][p][/p][h2]New Challenges Bring New Opportunities for Epic Unlocks[/h2][p]Two new challenges await: Survive a run in an atmosphere filled with deadly Radiation, or escort a heavily wounded companion to the Lair. If you’re short on Challenge Gems for unlocking the new consumables and moves, these challenges might be your ticket![/p][p][/p][h2]Closing Thoughts[/h2][p]As always, the update includes various fixes—check out the Changelog below for full details. [p][/p][h2]Update Notes for Patch v1.2.14[/h2][h3]Content[/h3][p]- Added 2 new Challenges:[/p][p]    Nuked City: Survive a run where the atmosphere is filled with deadly Radiation.[/p][p]    Blood Candy: Escort a heavily wounded companion through their journey to the Lair.[/p][p]- Added 3 new Consumable Items. New consumable items will appear during runs after "Survivor's Consumable Stash 1" is purchased with Challenge Gems in the Credits Shop. They are also available as starting items in the Credits Shop.[/p][p]    Ammo Box: Exploration: Gain 12 random combat resources. Encounter: Select and give a Stash 10 to the target ally. Can be used 1x per turn.[/p][p]    Inspiro-Berry: Exploration: Add a random rare or epic move to the trunk. Encounter: Select and draw a typeless, Volatile, zero cost clone of a move you can use from a random selection of 10. Can be used 1x per turn.[/p][p]    Wooden Plank: Exploration: Give Thick-Skinned 10 to the target ally. Encounter: Give 10 Block to the target ally. Can be used 2x per turn.[/p][p]- Added 3 new Rare Unarmed Run Moves: Scrap Bomb, Rotating Kick, Fake Slap. Rare moves will appear during runs.[/p][p]- Added 2 new Epic Unarmed Run Moves: Punch of the Champion, Self-Teach. Epic moves can be purchased with Challenge Gems in the Credits Shop to appear during runs.[/p][p]- (Card/Shield) Concussive Bash: Damage 1x->0.5x.[/p][p]- (Card/Syringe) Serotonin: Energy Cost reduction now applies to the next 3 moves.[/p][p]- (Card/Shotgun) Come With Me If You Want to Live: Energy Cost 5->3.[/p][p]- (Enemy) Cian / Ruin: Physical Defense 42->60, Dark Defense 42->60.[/p][p]- (Status) Thick-Skinned now decays every 2 steps during exploration instead of every 5 tiles revealed.[/p][h3]Fixes[/h3][p]- Fixed an error where Daemon Horn A and B descriptions were wrong. Daemon Horn A increases only Crit. Chance while Daemon Horn B increases only Power.[/p][p]- Fixed a typo in the Camper Van event.[/p][p]- Fixed a bug where enemies using Coherence move to activate card effects would trigger card choices, making the player select the card effect. Now the choice is made randomly.[/p][p]- Fixed Lock and Load not being able to draw moves in conservation mode. Added the missing weak version to it.[/p][p]- Fixed an issue where the Punching Machine’s Immovable status was not working correctly and was making it immune to disabilities. It’s now properly unaffected by Stagger, Push Back and Advance.[/p][p]- Fixed an error with Duct Tape item description, clarifying it only triggers with critical mend effects.[/p][p]- Fixed an issue where Cian and Visage wouldn’t use Decoherence and de-transform.[/p][p]- Fixed an error where acid and dark power and defense values were able to go below 0. (Needs new run)[/p][p]- Fixed a missing text error in the Captured condition.[/p][p]- Fixed an error in the Burrow condition text.[/p][p]- Fixed an issue where Concussive Bash damage didn’t scale with Power.[/p][p]- Fixed a bug where Payment +1 didn’t give Kickstart.[/p][p]- Fixed an issue with gamepad navigation in the decision event window that occurred while trying to navigate back from the magnifying glass button.[/p][p]- Fixed a move name error for the Sewer Disease enemy.[/p][p]- Fixed issues with Refill move where it didn’t update Repeat amount in certain cases, such as when it’s cloned to hand or when non-move draw and discard effects change hand count.[/p]

Update Notes for Patch v1.2.13.p21

- (Enemy) Earth Eroding Worm:
Bloodlust: Stacks 2->1, Cooldown is now global, Cooldown 30->20.
Earthquake: Repeat 4->3, Probability 1x->0.5x, Cooldown 6->12.
Melt Eyes: Unlock at turn 0->4.
- (Card/Flashlight) Flash Step: Now reduces energy cost of drawn cards until next move activation, instead of until the end of turn.
- (Card/Dark Cannon) Recall: (+1: Also draws 1 move.)
- Magician’s Glove no longer activates Unusable moves.
- Fixed Condition UI hover being blocked when entity info tooltip is visible during encounters. Hovering over condition and status icons should now easily display tooltips.
- Removed the screen-wide flash effect of certain attacks when “Enable Flashing Lights” option is turned off.
- Fixed an issue where Level Up window text would keep coming to the foreground during Leo’s level up card selection.
- Fixed a typo/parameter error in the Darkness Filled Corridor event.
- Fixed a typo/parameter error in Cleave card’s description.
- Fixed some of the card tooltips overflowing outside the screen.
- Reduced the difficulty of the dialogue puzzle for discovering the Lair location in Mona’s path. Required max. stress value is increased from 5 to 8.
- Fixed Suppressor item increasing energy cost instead of decreasing for cards created during encounters.
- Fixed some of the non-damage dealer moves (eg. Prepare for War, Bloodbath…) with reference damage values being classified as damage dealer by some effects.
- Fixed an issue where Daemon’s movement created a trail on the map.
- Updated localization progress.

Update Notes for Patch v1.2.13.p10 (Brazilian Portuguese Release)

- Brazilian Portuguese language is now available on the main branch. Many thanks to C4r4 for providing the Brazilian Portuguese translation!
- Added achievement syncing. Achievements unlocked in the demo version should automatically trigger on Steam in the full version.
- Fixed a crash related to the "Perpetual" perk.
- Fixed Daemon being able to move during encounters if a UI menu is opened, causing Daemon to be next to the player and immediately triggering another encounter.
- Fixed some profanity not being correctly censored with the filter on.
- Added a notification message when there aren't enough credits trying to buy from the Credits Shop. The message refers to the Challenge Mode for Challenge Gems, giving a direction for where to acquire them.
- Fixed Health values being wrong in the Rest Screen and preventing healing, while there are Max Health modifying effects on characters.
- Fixed Health values reducing after quitting and reloading while there are Max Health modifying effects on characters.
- Fixed Health values in the party UI not refreshing after possessible items with Max Health modifying effects are removed from characters.
