Patch Notes for Version 0.15.11

[p]Hi,[/p][p]This small update fixes a number of issues across the game.[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where sometimes you wouldn't be given a modifier reward, even if you'd earned one.[/p]
  • [p]Double reward icon at the end of the game no longer shows a hole number.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug where sometimes you couldn't select a modifier reward at the end of a round.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed overlapping icon bug when showing the modifier goal in the game menu.[/p]
  • [p]Contours from future holes no longer show when the current hole is being animated in or out.[/p]
  • [p]Teams now use the maximum number of equipment slots that anyone in the team has unlocked.[/p]
  • [p]The hole-in-one bonus is now applied to everyone in a team, if anyone on that team has it unlocked.[/p]
  • [p]The weekly challenge always uses your standard difficulty progression.[/p]
  • [p]You no longer get stuck bouncing forever on the springboard.[/p]
  • [p]The default selection when navigating the settings is now more intuitive.[/p]
  • [p]Updated the whole game to Unity 6, which will have minor performance benefits.[/p]

Difficulty Levels

[p]Hi all,[/p][p][/p][p]This update brings some options for you to adjust Up to Par to better fit your play style.[/p][p][/p][h3]Difficulty Levels[/h3][p]In the game settings you can now choose between three different options - Flag, Green, and Fairway - that will adjust how many shots you start each specific course with. These settings share your progression, so you can switch between them at any time.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]If you want an additional challenge, you're also able to unlock two harder difficulty levels in the pro shop. These levels come with their own progression tracks, so you'll be starting from scratch each time and pushing yourself to see how far you can get with even more limited resources.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]These unlockable difficulties are really hard! If you manage to make good progress through these, then you really can consider yourself a master of Up to Par.[/p][p][/p][h3]Balance Adjustments[/h3][p][/p][p]This update also brings some pricing and unlock target updates, making the following items cost less or become easier to reach when playing on the Fairway difficulty.[/p][p]Items[/p]

  • [p]Improved the layout of modifiers in the clubhouse.[/p]
  • [p]Added option to the settings menu to redeem unlock codes.[/p]
  • [p]UI hints now reset when you reset your progress.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed bug where goals would become unticked after visiting the shop.[/p]
  • [p]In multiplayer, clients will now correctly generate goals.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an error if no modifier goal was selected.[/p]
  • [p]Ceiling Enforcer now has a lower ceiling.[/p]
  • [p]In multiplayer, items are only unlocked for members of the team that unlocked it.[/p]
  • [p]Added disconnection notice when your game is disconnected.[/p]
  • [p]When not connected to the internet, you can now start a local multiplayer game.[/p]

Course Modifiers

[p]I'm happy to announce that course modifiers are finally here![/p][p][/p]
Course Modifiers
[p][/p][p]The course modifiers are a whole new set of items that you earn by reaching goals during the game. They apply to everyone playing with you, and include things like shortcuts, changing the hole size, and giving you extra shots to start. [/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]My aim with designing them is to make each run more unique, and for the course to be more fun, more interesting, and usually a little easier. For a really interesting time, there's a permanent item unlock that will let you stockpile your modifers and apply them all in one go - resulting in a really crazy few rounds.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]I'd love to hear what you think of them, because I'll be updating and tweaking them over the next few weeks in response to your feedback. Join the Modifiers Public Beta

[p]Hi,[/p][p][/p][p]You can test out the new course modifiers feature right now! I've also been working on a number of bug fixes and tweaks that will be rolled into this release.[/p][p][/p]
Course Modifiers
[p][/p][p]The course modifiers are a whole new set of items that you earn by reaching goals during the game. You can save them up and select them at the start of a round to make the course more fun, more interesting, and usually a little easier.[/p][p][/p][p]I'd love to hear your feedback, and to try it out you can switch to the public test branch right now on Steam! Here's how to do it:[/p][p]Right click on your game in the steam library, select Properties, and navigate to the Betas tab on the left. Then from the dropdown box select "modifierspublicbeta". Steam will update the game with the new build for you![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Once you've had a play with the new feature, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. Let me know via the in-game feedback form, on the discord, or in the comments below.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Bug Fixes
[p]I've made a lot of changes for this new build, including fixing a number of outstanding problems. These will be available on the default branch when I fully release the modifiers feature in two weeks. Here's the full list of changes:[/p]
  • [p]The Estimator now reflects off the pond socket obstacle.[/p]
  • [p]The aim preview no longer jitters across the top of jumps.[/p]
  • [p]Teleport drops the ball correctly on the surface of lifting obstacles.[/p]
  • [p]The Estimator now shows a range of possible outcomes, depending on your hit speed.[/p]
  • [p]Weekly Challenge no longer crashes if you're the first to report a score.[/p]
  • [p]The Woods Course is now grassier.[/p]
  • [p]Gimmie Hint changes colour to be more readable on different coloured surfaces.[/p]
  • [p]The default aim direction is working better.[/p]
  • [p]The City course is now slightly easier.[/p]
  • [p]Higher level obstacle unlocks are now easier to reach.[/p]
