Closed Multiplayer Playtests to begin early 2026

Ciao Pizza Managers!
[p]
[/p][p]It was no secret that we were planning on adding a multiplayer mode to Pizza Slice and now we are at the precipice of opening our doors for players who want to check out co-op play on their own. [/p][p][/p][p]You can sign up for this closed multiplayer test from the game’s Steam Store Page - just click the Join the Playtest button.[/p][p][/p][p]The test will launch early 2026.[/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p][p]Please remember that this is a CLOSED TEST, meaning that we will ask you to NOT share footage online. The game is still under heavy development, so we expect bugs, unforeseen issues and generally not the final quality experience. We also kindly ask you to keep  any discussions regarding the current version of the game limited to our Discord server. Thank you![/p][p][/p][p]The people who had access to our previous playtest will automatically receive an invitation to the multiplayer playtest. [/p][p][/p]
The purpose of the playtests

[p]The main purpose is to measure how our core mechanics work in co-op play - how much fun they provide and how well the gameplay loop works when two players run the pizzeria together.[/p][p][/p][p]The secondary goal is to check our multiplayer systems - how inviting players to the game work and check for any unforeseen issues that may happen in a live game build. [/p][p]
[/p]
Multiplayer gameplay scope

[p]The multiplayer will work on a Host/Guest matchmaking. One player will Host the game and will be able to invite their Steam friend to join as a Guest. [/p][p]Note that if a Host leaves the game, the Guest will not be able to continue playing that game session.[/p][p][/p][p]Once a game is hosted it will appear as a room in the multiplayer menu screen, allowing for other players to join. [/p][p][/p][p]Both players will run the pizzeria together in Career Mode with every interaction available for each player - there will be no set roles provided by the game. It depends on the players how they decide to divide their kitchen tasks - from prep-work, through baking, to waiting tables and cleaning. The game’s difficulty will also be scaled up when playing together with a friend - expect more guests coming into the restaurant that will require your attention. [/p][p][/p][p]There will be a total of 10 days available for the players to play through.[/p][p][/p][p]For the players who will be looking for a co-op partner we will open up Voice channels on our Discord server. Just swing by and ask if anyone wants to join up for a session. [/p][p]
[/p][p][/p][p]We will also kindly ask you to fill out the form after you test the game out - your feedback will be essential for future development and polishing the experience before the game launches next year. [/p]

[p][/p][p]We will come back to you with exact dates of the playtest and any additional details early January. For now, please click the Join the Playtest button on our Steam Store Page, so we can start assessing the scope of the playtests.[/p][p][/p][p]Taking the opportunity, we would like to wish everybody a happy and restful Holiday Season! Remember, there’s nothing wrong with serving a pizza during Christmas dinner, even if it feels a little bit unorthodox :) [/p][p][/p][p]See you at the table![/p][p]The Pizza Slice team[/p]

A Delicious Summary... and What’s Coming Next!

Ciao Pizza Managers!
[p]
Mamma mia! What a ride it’s been so far! Thanks to all of you who joined us during the Pizza Slice playtests and demo phases - our cozy little kitchen was buzzing with your feedback, energy, and love for pizza. We’ve read every comment, watched every clip, and yes, even laughed along when your pizzas turned out... a bit more avant-garde than expected. So, let’s talk about what you thought, what we learned, and what’s cooking next, shall we?[/p][p][/p][p] [/p]
The Taste Test: Overall Flavor

[p]Let’s start with the good stuff - the majority of you described Pizza Slice as a fun, positive, and even delicious experience… but you probably already know this by now thanks to our previous devlogs, so let’s move on to more juicy stuff![/p][p][/p][p]By far your favorite part of the game - and ours too - was making pizzas. From experimenting with wild shapes (yes, the legendary triangle pizza!) to mixing ingredients and crafting your own recipes, this feature truly stole the show. By the way, imagine what could happen if one chef wasn’t enough... Two chefs, perhaps? But hey, let’s not get ahead of ourselves - more on that later on. [/p][p][/p][p]Of course, even the best restaurateur sometimes drop a tomato or two! You told us that the tutorial could be clearer and more helpful for new players. Point taken, just like with the case of a bit clunky sprint![/p][p][/p][p]One thing you really loved was the freedom of choice Pizza Slice offers - making your own dough or buying a pre-made one, shopping when and where you want, and building pizzas your way. And speaking of freedom, quite a few of you asked for the ability to store pizzas in the fridge. Well, why not? It wasn’t possible in the demo, but we’re happy to confirm - in the full game, your pizzas can chill out (literally).[/p][p][/p][p]Many of you mentioned that while you love the game’s energetic, dynamic rhythm, sometimes it can get a bit overwhelming. We hear you loud and clear on this one! [/p][p][/p][p]Moving on, you adored Pizza Slice’s art style, and our artists couldn’t stop smiling after reading your comments. And the humor? You liked it too! After all, even the most serious chefs need a good laugh - especially when their pizza flies off the counter.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
The Final Slice

[p]Here’s a fun stat to end with - most of you spent more than 2 hours in Pizza Slice, and many cooked for over 5 hours! That’s some serious dedication![/p][p]We can’t thank you enough for helping us make Pizza Slice better with your feedback, enthusiasm, and ideas. You’ve helped us shape this game into something tastier, smoother, and even more fun - and we can’t wait to show you what’s next in our kitchen.[/p][p][/p]
And now - the "what's coming next" part!

[p]With all that feedback and the mountain of wonderful suggestions you’ve sent our way, our hands (and our counters) are full - and that’s exactly how we like it! We now have a clear vision of how to season Pizza Slice to perfection, bringing it closer to what you, our players, truly crave.[/p][p][/p][p] [/p]
Co-op for even more fun
[p][/p][p]Perhaps the most requested - and hyped! - feature of all is… the co-op mode! Yes, you read that right - it’s happening! You and your friend will soon be able to co-cook, co-clean, co-shop, and co-succeed in the full version of Pizza Slice. We still have a few recipes to test and important design choices to make, but the key ingredient is already in the mix: your kitchen will soon get a little more crowded and a lot more cheerful. After all - the more chefs, the merrier![/p][p] [/p][p]In co-op mode, one of you (the host) will take on the role of Tonio, and the other (the invited one) will replace our beloved cousin. Since Pizza Slice boasts a strong sandbox vibe, it is entirely up to you to share your responsibilities. In simple words, you will be sharing the game’s story, of course with an increased difficulty level to balance the gameplay.[/p][p][/p][p]One of you can mix the dough, so that the other one can grab it and shape it into yummy pizza. While one does the shopping, the other can clean. Some of you might prove to be experts in customer service, while the others might be discovering fantastic new recipes... you sure get the idea![/p][p]What your shared family restaurant will look like depends solely on your decisions, skills and creativity. And you know what? We simply can’t wait to see it all![/p][p][/p]
The grande finale - release date! Pizza Slice is coming in Q1 2026!

[p]You heard it right! Here’s the cherry tomato on top - Pizza Slice is officially coming to Steam in its full version in Q1 2026! Mark your calendars, sharpen your pizza cutters, and get ready to roll that dough for real. We can’t wait to welcome you back to the kitchen for the full experience - bigger, tastier, and packed with all the features you’ve been asking for. It’s almost time to serve the perfect slice, so stay tuned! [/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]As always, we remain at your disposal on our Discord server, Steam discussions and Social Media channels. We are always happy to chat over the table, so join the most delicious community out there and stay hyped for Pizza Slice. See you there![/p][p][/p][p] [/p][p][/p][p]See you at the table![/p][p]The Pizza Slice team[/p]

[/p][p]You can now all play the Pizza Slice demo. Just visit the game’s store page and hit that tasty download button![/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]Please remember that it is a pre-release demo, meaning it is not of final quality and the game might still change in the future. You might also stumble upon some minor bugs and will interact with gameplay features that remain a work in progress. Which is why we humbly ask for a bit of patience and understanding while playing the game.[/p][p][/p][p]Having said that, we’re quite happy with how the recent playtests rolled out and this version is even more polished, so this should be an even smoother and more enjoyable experience.  [/p][p][/p][p]We will of course be utterly grateful for your feedback and constructive criticism. It will further help us polish the game as we move towards the release. In the demo you will find a form to fill out in the Main Menu of the game. We are humbly asking for a few minutes of your time to do so.

Pizza Slice Demo Incoming

Ciao Pizza Managers!
[p]
[/p][p]We were truly thrilled by the warm response to the Pizza Slice playtests. So many of you wanted to take part but could not because of the limited scope of the tests. We know you’re still eager to play though, which is why we have a surprise lined up for you - an incoming demo! [/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p][p]Yes, the demo is scheduled to launch on October 3rd! This is just a few days away from now, crazy! But that’s the pace of working at a pizzeria - you need to meet the demand! [/p][p][/p][p]This time around everyone will have free access to the demo, so if you were unlucky enough not to get an invite for the playtests, now’s your chance to check the game out.[/p][p]For those of you who have already played the game, we’re happy to announce some changes have been made to the build, based on your feedback.
[/p]
Scope of the Demo

[p][/p][p]Some basic information first.[/p][p]You will be able to find the game’s demo page down below.[/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]This will be a single player experience, which will showcase the basic gameplay loop: from shopping for ingredients, through prep work, to creating pizzas, serving them and keeping your clientele satisfied. The game will allow you to play for 5 in-game days - enough to get a grasp for the mechanics and the flow of the game, while leaving an appetite for more.[/p][p][/p][p]The amount of available ingredients and ways in which you can expand your restaurant and your business will be limited. However, you will still be able to compose your own pizzas and set your own prices for them.[/p][p][/p][p]Pizza Slice continues to be in development. The current state of the build does not represent the final quality of the game.[/p][p][/p]
Build Information & Requirements
• [p]Platform: Windows PC via Steam[/p]
  • [p]Controller Support: Partial Support[/p]
  • [p]Supported Languages - VO: English, Text & Interface: ENG, FR, IT, GER, ESP, PL, PT-BR, RUS, PT, Simplified CN.
    [/p]
  • [p]Hardware Minimum Requirements:[/p]
    • [p]Windows 7 (64-bit) or newer[/p]
    • [p]Intel Core i3, 3,20Ghz / AMD Phenom II X4 955, 3,2Ghz[/p]
    • [p]4 GB RAM[/p]
    • [p]Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 / AMD R7-260x[/p]
    • [p]DirectX 11[/p]
    • [p]6 GB free HDD Space[/p]
[p][/p]
The scope of changes from the playtests

[p][/p][p]First and foremost, we have improved the tutorials across the game - more precise wording and object highlighting have been added, so you will always know what the game tries to teach you. [/p][p]We’ve also added an easier way to check out the recipe you’re creating - it will be above the pizza decoration station and there will be a dedicated action to look directly at it.[/p][p]When decorating your pizza you will also see what kind of ingredients you’ve already put on your pie (and how much sauce has been added).[/p][p][/p][p]Secondly, we’ve added an option to hold more than one ingredient at the same time. This drastically changes gameplay and helps with the overall hustle.[/p][p][/p][p]For the creative players out there, we’ve lessened the strictness of what shape the pizza needs to be. Feel free to experiment with unique designs! To make the dough rolling more enjoyable, we’ve redone how the mechanic works - now all you need to do is hold the button above the pie and stretch it towards any direction you want. [/p][p][/p][p]We’ve made the gesture wheel interactable with client NPCs, improved the gamepad button layout, added new SFX and music, rebalanced how often the clients will enter the restaurant and how often it will be sabotaged and more! [/p][p][/p][p]We will share full patch notes in a separate devlog, closer to the launch of the demo, so that our lovely playtesters have a point of reference for changes made since they last had the chance to play Pizza Slice.[/p][p][/p]
Feedback Form

[p]The demo will have a fresh new Form to fill out, accessible from the main menu of the game (it will redirect you to Google Forms), where we will once again humbly ask for a few minutes of your time to share your thoughts and experiences with Pizza Slice. We want to bring you the best modern pizzeria simulation out there and we can achieve it only by working alongside our community. [/p][p][/p]
Upcoming features

[p]We’re continuing to develop the game, expanding the core features, most notably a Co-Op mode for the game. Although it won’t be ready for the start of the demo, expect a future playtest to be established specifically for it. We will keep you all informed on our progress and upcoming plans for Pizza Slice. [/p][p][/p][p]Remember to join our pizza loving Discord community![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]See you at the table![/p][p]The Pizza Slice team[/p]
