It mixes simulation game tropes with an arcade gameplay approach, where your dexterity is put to the test under the pressure of time.[/p][p][/p][p]As Tonio, you will need to almost singlehandedly run an entire Pizzeria: from shopping for and prepping the ingredients, through composing and baking pizzas, to serving customers. Initially it’s all done manually - run to the store, chop the veggies, roll the dough, etc. With time you will be able to upgrade your kitchenware  and get some help from family members, but be warned, the demand for your dishes will expand as well. [/p][p][/p][p]If that’s not enough action for you, than what about a dirty competitor trying to ruin your day by throwing a stinky bomb at your pizzeria or a health inspector looking for issues? You will also run into the Mafia, so there’s never a dull day in Pizza Slice![/p][p][/p][h2]Game Modes[/h2][hr][/hr][h3]SINGLE PLAYER CAMPAIGN[/h3][p]The Campaign lasts 21 in-game days with the goal being to turn a small, run-down restaurant into a well prospering family-business. Of course there will be challenges along the way, besides just preparing the dishes, like health inspection controls, dirty competitors and even the mafia. 
[/p][p]After completing the Campaign an Endless Mode will become available, in which you can run your restaurant for as long as you want. [/p][p][/p][h3]INFERNO KITCHEN[/h3][p]Pizza Slice’s competitive mode, in which two teams of up to three players battle it out in a restaurant competition. The players will need to coordinate between running for ingredients, preparing the pizzas and fending off the meddlings of the opposing team.[/p][p][/p][p]A game round divides into two stages:[/p]

• [p]The Preparation stage - to set up work stations, gather ingredients and start working on the pizzas;[/p]

• [p]The Cooking stage - in which guests enter the cooking arena and start ordering pizzas, separately for each team. The players will need to compose the order, bake it and provide it to a specific table in the allotted time to earn a score rating.[/p]

[/p][p]We were teasing a surprise for a while now and it’s finally time to unveil the details![/p][p][/p][p]Please welcome an online competitive mode to Pizza Slice - Inferno Kitchen![/p][p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p][p]In Inferno Kitchen you will be divided into two teams of up to 3 players for an ultimate challenge of your pizza making skills! Similar to your favourite cooking shows on TV, the teams will have to gather ingredients from an open pantry, set up their stations and start preparing food. The invited guests will soon start to take their assigned tables and order items from Stefano’s Cookbook (no custom recipes in this mode), so you will need to be fast, precise and well coordinated to earn as many points as possible. [/p][p][/p][p]There are two stages to each round of the match:[/p][p][/p][p]The Preparation Stage
You will have 75 seconds to set up your stations, bring in some ingredients and start making the dough. It’s up to your team to divide the work, so you will need to communicate like in a real kitchen.[/p][p]
The Cooking Stage[/p][p]Here is where the real challenge begins - guests will start entering the dining room, ordering an item from your cookbook. Each team will have their own separate orders, so you’re not rushing to be the first to serve but to actually cover all of the demand placed on your team. Be prepared to frantically run to the pantry for that one veggie you didn’t prep yet or setting up an additional saucing station to gain access to a white sauce. [/p][p]Your pizzas will be judged by the guests in exactly the same fashion as in the single player campaign. The goal is simple - earn more stars than the opposing team before the round ends. This means you not only need to work fast but be precise in the amount of ingredients and sauce you put on the pizza. [/p][p]This stage takes 333 seconds.[/p][p][/p][p]There are two rounds in a match. If there is a draw at the end of round 2, an additional, third round will commence. [/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2]Joining a match[/h2][hr][/hr][p]The online mode will work in a P2P (peer to peer) system, meaning one player will be hosting the match for other players. [/p][p]The host player will be able to invite guests through a unique code that needs to be shared to other players. Guest players will paste that code when joining in to a game. The code is necessary for all the players to end up in the same lobby. Stefano’s pizzeria, located in a romanticized version of New York, is waiting for you - Tonio, to take the chef’s mantle and uphold the real Italian tradition of baking pizza. It’s a family business, so more or less, you’re on your own to manage the whole restaurant. Let’s break it down and see what awaits you in the game:[/p][p][/p][h3]From Zero to Hero[/h3][hr][/hr][p]You inherit grandpa Stefano’s pizzeria - it has clearly seen better days - there’s only one table, the toilet is not working and the only person there is your cousin - Alfonso, who would sooner poison the customers by accident than run a successful business. You roll up your sleeves and go to work!
[/p][p]The game’s campaign is divided into 21 days, where you start with almost nothing and end up rebuilding Stefano’s legacy. You will need to shop for your ingredients in two places: a convenience store and a bazaar. Once the pizzeria is stocked up, it’s time to prep: clean the place up, dice and slice the veggies, form the dough, and finally, compose and bake your pizza. After you flip the open sign it will also be your job to serve the customers. Time and work organization will be of essence. Expect frantic runs to the store to grab a tomato sauce, while your pizza is baking and two other orders are already waiting for you in line. Pizza Slice is a true pizzeria management experience!
[/p][h3]Face the Problems[/h3][hr][/hr][p]If you thought you already had enough problems on your plate, add a dirty competition to the list - Greasy Pizza is a restaurant chain that doesn’t play nice. When they see you successfully grow your business, they will start to make your life harder by promoting directly right in front of your door or by throwing stinky bombs to your restaurant. You will need to act fast to not lose customers! [/p][p][/p][p]You’re also one phone call away from a sanitation check, so remember to keep your restaurant clean and tidy or face the fines! [/p][p][/p][p]Finally, it wouldn’t be a compelling NY city story, if there were no mafia goons involved. This is however a double edged sword - sometimes they will make your life miserable, sometimes you will use them to your own benefit. [/p][p][/p][p]Keep vigilant, work hard, and overcome all of your problems![/p][p][/p][h3]Every Chef Needs a Helper[/h3][hr][/hr][p][/p][p]Alfonso may be a lazy and clumsy bum but he knows his way around the city and has the connections to help you out when you will most need him. He can also clean dishes for you, sweep the floors and even do some performance marketing, so he’s definitely not entirely useless![/p][p][/p][p]With success comes increased demand, to keep up with it you will need to hire a waitress. Sofia is also a part of the family and she will not only cover the customers for you, she will bring in her marketing friends to the picture. With her around you’ll be one phone call away from a city wide marketing campaign, helping you secure even more guests! [/p][p][/p][p]We all know that multiplayer tastes better and a living, breathing opponent is always better than an NPC. We’re lining up some surprises in that regard for you chefs and we can’t wait to disclose more information on the subject very, very soon! Stay tuned![/p][p][/p][h3]Create Your Legacy![/h3][hr][/hr][p]Grandpa Stefano left you his cookbook, so you will always have the tried and true recipes to serve your customers, however nothing stops you from evolving the restaurant into something completely yours! You will be able to compose any pizza you want from a variety of ingredients: 4 types of meat, 2 types of cheese, 2 types of sauce, over a dozen different veggies, some fruits and even fish or a ready-made pesto. Just price it correctly so that your creations are attractive for customers and you earn from each pizza baked![/p][p][/p][p]Make enough money to upgrade your kitchenware and expand your restaurant by adding more tables and a fresh visual look to the place. There’s plenty to unlock in Pizza Slice!
