Dev update #3 & Feedback from the Demo - “Polishing”

Hello Owners!

We’re back with a dev update! This will be a special one. After the rush of the demo for the Steam Next fest, we took some time to analyse your feedback and work on features prioritization for the Early Access release. These past weeks, we focused on finishing systems and cleaning our code base.
Demo key learnings
Before deep diving into this Dev update, let’s talk about our feedback regarding our first pre-early access demo! First, we want to say a big thank you to everyone who tried the demo and took the time to provide feedback! We’re really grateful for all the inputs, ideas and positive reception we got.

We’ve of course received plenty of detailed feedback on what to improve, develop, or even add. Some of these suggestions were already in our minds, and we've included the new learnings in our milestones’ plan. We will soon get back to you to let you know how we progress on this:

We also started to post dedicated information regarding our amazing characters! Tune in each Thursday on our social media accounts to learn more about them: Twitter / Instagram!
Dev Update #3
Our main focuses were:
UI
We fixed a lot of issues in the UI such as things displayed on top of another, and tried to improve it by adding some features, and reworking the way we filter the catalog.
Restroom
As you may have noticed the restrooms and janitor were kinda buggy, whether it was the Janitors not cleaning or the clients who didn’t go when they needed it. We implemented new cleanliness rules, and fixed the janitor's behavior.
Bar
The bar was missing some features, such as the stock management of the drinks and refills.
Overall improvements
You might not notice it, but we’ve worked on a lot of technical improvements : We reworked the way agents detect things around them and do some cleanup on their behavior. We also reworked the way we manage localization so that we could have more languages in our next release!
Bug fix:
• You can now fire all employees (but that would be ruthless… right!?).
 • Fixed bouncer behavior that prevented clients from entering (and we want to make profit…).
 • Fixed blocker when an event happened while grabbing someone.
 • Fixed some missing localization.
 • Fixed a bug on Strike events that kept appearing (Oups).
 • Fixed display issue with the beauty overlay.
 • Fixed data in the casino panel.

And that’s all for this update. As always, do not hesitate to share your thoughts and questions as we make progress to the development of Blooming Business: Casino. We want to share with you how we progress and are always keen for feedback!

Kriss from the Homo Ludens team.
