Our Demo Comes Down On Monday - Get To It This Weekend!

Hey all,

As we stomp towards our August 10th Early Access release date, we wanted to let you all know that Mech Armada's demo will be coming down from the Steam store on Monday 2nd August.

We've discussed the merits of the demo and the fact it removes a barrier of entry for all those wanting to try out the game. However, it's fair to say that Mech Armada has massively improved since our demo build went live, and it's not necessarily reflective of the wider game and the content it will offer in Early Access. Here's just some of what Early Access will contain, in comparison to the demo:
  • +8 monsters
  • +4 bosses
  • +4 bodies, +9 weapons
  • +3 environments
  • Longer run: 22 battles
  • Persistent upgrades purchased with meta-energy you pick up
  • Score calculated at end of a run - used to unlock parts
  • Stats (battles won, energy collected, damage inflicted, ...)
  • Challenge mode with granular difficulty
  • Selection of starting mech!
So while we're hard at work on increasing Early Access' features, for now, this weekend will be the last chance for you to dive into the demo. While we may bring it back online in the future (we'll never say never) get it downloaded and give it a go while you can. Good luck against the Swarm!

Mech Armada Set For Early Access August 10th

Hey all,

We're pleased to announce that Mech Armada is heading to Early Access on August 10th for $14.99. For anyone who doesn't know, Mech Armada’s story sees you take on the Swarm, a strange race hellbent on destroying the world. It’s down to the player to utilise “replicator technology” - a way to quickly bring powerful mechs to life - to destroy the creatures and save humanity.

The game combines elements from multiple genres to create an ever-changing turn-based tactics game, and is inspired by the likes of Darkest Dungeon and Slay the Spire, giving players a heavy dose of deckbuilding (with robots, not cards), resource management, fast tactical tiled-based combat and perma-death.

We're excited to get your feedback over the coming weeks and as a reward for those who give feedback, will have the chance to win a free copy of the game. Here's our official list of features:
  • Deep strategic combat: There are no perfect solutions. Create your own strategy by cleverly making the most out of your resources and the situation.
  • Design your own mech: With 70+ available Mech parts, you can create thousands of unique combinations. Each part has its own strengths and weaknesses, giving you an enormous range of possibilities.
  • Turn-Based combat: You can move into position and attack with each of your mechs, in any order. Then it's the Swarm's turn...
  • Procedurally generated: All the gameplay elements (monsters, maps, resources and rewards) are randomly combined and balanced ensuring no two battles are the same.
  • Roguelike campaign: Death means game over. Try again with an entirely new run, with new random parts and encounters. You'll have to make do with what you get!
  • Auto-save: Never worry about saving again. Leave your game at any point and return exactly where you left off.
  • Environment variety: From the outskirts of destroyed cities, to desert wastelands, the  Swarm spreads and the battle for survival rages on.
  • Epic bosses: They're massive, ugly and ridiculously tough. Are you up to the task?
