Builders of China - Devlog #11 - "Places and missions!"

Hello Builders!
There will be many places that you will visit in Builder of China - let's check some of them now!
Our game will take you to different places where you'll have to face varied challenges. Sometimes it will be a bit easier, other times you'll be scratching your head thinking how you can succeed in difficult and sometimes changing conditions. One of such places that we can give you a glimpse of (illustration above) is Kuizhou.

Kuizhou was of particular importence during Tang Dynasty in China partly because of its close proximity to Yangzi River but also - culturally speaking - because the exiled poets often found themselves here writing among beautiful scenery about their hardships and difficulties. Kuizhou was also a place where officials had to come when Emperor decided to banish them for different mishaps.

Kuizhou is but one example of the places you're going to visit. Below you can see an illustration for other village you'll be able to take into your care and make sure it prospers. While playing through Builders of China you will have to face several different missions and challenges and only completing them will award you the final victory.

For example - you might have to develop agriculture in a terrain that is very difficult to manage, where every single piece of flat field is worth its weight in gold. Only by careful planning will you be able to succeed! Otherwise, in a different location, you might have to establish trade between your establishment and another city...

Either of those tasks will test and challenge you and we hope that they will bring a lot of fun and joy to you!

Is there any specific location that you feel we should definitely include? Let us know in the comments!

Best regards,
Builders of China Team

Builders of China - Devlog #9 - "Animals in the town!"

Hello Builders!
Humanity was always intrinsically connected with animals and building an Empire will also mean dealing with the fauna!
There is so many ways that animals can be helpful when trying to establish your own empire. As you start with smaller villages and enclaves they very often fulfill many important roles for the whole community. For many workers they can be an invaluable asset but for almost all they are somewhat a part of the overall scenery. Afterall it's hard to imagine a village without the occasional sound made by one of the animals kept around. Be it donkey's hee-haw or...

...goats "horsing" around. Or should we say "goating" around? You can simply look at the picture to see that they can indeed play around with the force of many party-goers at once (can you spot the little troublemaker?).

Either way - in Builders of China animals will be a valuable asset. After all you have got to feed many people in your cities and towns and keeping livestock will definitely make it easier for people living in your empire. Why forage when you can take care of your beloved piggies?

Of course you will be also able to see many other animals in the game - as they can be extremely useful for the tasks of transportation and helping out merchants or explorers. Many of them will find their way in the game and will be important for the discovery of the graphically recreated world of the Empire of China that you will be building.

With their help, of course.

Thanks for checking in - stay tuned for future devlogs and make sure to wishlist the game to stay updated!

Best regards,
Builders of China Team

Builders of China - Devlog #8 - "Buildings of the Empire #2"

Hello Builders!
We are happy to see that you've liked our series about buildings and art for the game!

We've went through different phases of the concept art creation and now let's take a look at the model of the building!
We really want to make sure that the level of polish for our game will speak for itself - we strive to be exemplary in all aspects of the development for our game. Of course, until you play it it's difficult to showcase how polished the gameplay will be, however we will do our best to show you how awesome the game will look like. The first look you can take simply by checking the shot below.

Houses in our game will differ from each other - depending on whether we are talking about the houses for farmers, scholars or officials. Living conditions for different classes were quite varied and that will find its reflection in the housing available for particular person. You can expect quite an eye-catching difference between the place where a happy official is living with his family and the solitary hut of a single farmer - after all those houses also tend to reflect their owners personalities, traits and jobs they fulfill.

Thank you for tuning in this time and see you next one!

Best regards,
Builders of China Team
