Patch version 0.5.20

This patch addresses a couple of reported bugs from the most recent update.

  • Fixed Inscriber Claire's Booming skill having an unintended extra healing effect on enemy when using Ritual skill
  • Fixed a memory leak related to text generation
  • Fixed a possible rare crash in very specific situations during battle

Patch version 0.5.19

Patch version 0.5.19 fixes some reported bugs, has a couple of balance updates, adds a new highly requested feature, and also adds a bit of new content.

Our work on Act 5's content is continuing. We have experienced some setbacks to available development time in recent months due to various unplanned events, but the grind goes on. If you're on our Discord, I'll be posting some new hero teasers in the coming future, so make sure to join us!

  • Added relic loadouts to more easily swap between relic sets per hero
  • Added 3 new shop-only relics
  • Reduced Bard's base physical stats a bit
  • Reworked Occultist form's Dark Guest skill to deal its own direct damage instead of added damage per hit
  • Sin Boss's Yawn skill now only hits melee range, to help keep from having full party control loss too often
  • Sin Boss's Vengeance skill can now miss, to low health dodge characters to have counterplay
  • Fixed enemy difficulty increases being inconsistent between act intro missions, main act, and endless for act 3 and 4
  • Fix bug with Disarm skill where stun damage could be increased by other added damage effects
  • Fixed Spellblade's Rune Strike skill not casting Spellscreen when at level 3
  • Fixed bug with blocked damage calculations for Spellscreen skill and Golem's related quest
  • Fixed bug with blocked damage calculations for Mime's Invisible Wall skill and related quest
  • Fixed glossary mouse input not working correctly to select categories when accessed from certain contexts
  • Fixed Singularity mode not loading previously selected custom UI when launching a new mission
  • Fixed Drone Parts relic missing a short form description
  • Fixed extra loud select sound when opening menu in town's all heroes list
  • Fixed a few minor bugs with text alignment and inline icons

Version 0.5.18 Release: Hero Pack #4

Version 0.5.18 (Hero Pack #4) has officially left the beta branch, and is now in the stable branch! There weren't a ton of issues to fix, but we'd like to thank everyone who downloaded the beta and provided feedback. You do not need to unsubscribe from the beta branch if you are currently using it, as both beta and stable branches have been updated.

The next major update we are are working toward is Act 5. We also have a bit of an update to the relic system in the works to address some concerns brought up in feedback. More on that in a future update.



The following changelog outlines the details of changes from the previous stable version 0.5.15 to this release, 0.5.18. Updates added since the last beta release, 0.5.17b are noted as (new).

  • Three new wanderer heroes available to unlock in both Chronicle and Singularity modes
  • Steam achievements added for hero pack 4 heroes (new)
  • Added sorting option on chronicle mode party selection menu (new)
  • Temple Altar of Protection upgrade now also affects demons (new)
  • Blocked damage is now displayed in battle log, and characters will flash a block animation when damage is blocked
  • Chronicle mode special missions now only allow 1 bundle to be brought along from a curated list
  • Removed useless power cores from special mission possible drops list
  • Barkskin, Stoneskin, Temper and Kappa skills updated to only be able to block up to 75% of incoming damage
  • Devil's Hellclaws skill levels reworked
  • Devil's Fireball skill is now also tagged as ranged
  • Changed Golem's Nestled in Magic quest to be a cumulative counter insted of single battle
  • Flame Jet skill lv 3 effect reworked
  • Fixed attributes not updating immediately when using an item such as attribute infuser via the party menu
  • Fixed attributes not updating at start of battle until a character uses a skill
  • Fixed Eradicator enemy Charge Laser effect being dispellable
  • Fixed Desecrate skill being dispellable
  • Fixed Clown's Comic Relief lv 3 overriding honk's animation
  • Fixed Medbot's Surge Protector skill showing unrounded block value in tooltip
  • Fixed Yakuza's broken uzi animation
  • Fixed Jaguar sprite not returning to the proper position when thrown by ally Toss during active Pounce
  • Fixed Immortal and Secret Service remaining invisible after respawning if killed by Sin boss' Devour skill

Patch version 0.5.17b (Beta Branch)

This patch addresses some bugs reported in the recent beta branch build, Hero Pack 4.

  • Fixed various skills that had bugs when copied or should not have been allowed to be copied
  • Fixed Holy Shield effect not having its value properly reduced by damage
  • Fixed enemy HP values not disappearing when a hero allowing them to be viewed was downed
  • Fixed crash related to recording blocked damage values with Frailty distortion effect active

Version 0.5.16b Release: Hero Pack 4 (Beta Branch)

Build version 0.5.16b, Hero Pack 4, is now available on the Beta Branch. This update contains 3 new wanderer heroes for you to find, some new enemies to battle in the special missions, and some bugfixes and balance adjustments.

[h3]How do I download the Beta Branch?[/h3]
Opting into a Beta branch is easy on Steam. Simply right click Time Break Chronicles in your Library, select Properties, and then click "Betas." From there you can select the Beta branch from the dropdown, and Steam will download the files for you. You do not need to enter a beta access code.
