We’re thrilled to announce that
Winter Survival: Prologue is officially out! It has been a long journey full of challenges and obstacles, but we believe that you're gonna enjoy the prologue as much as we did during the development stage.
While many of you will be playing the prologue today and in the upcoming days, we’re constantly gathering feedback from you, guys. Having said that, if you happen to encounter any bugs or glitches, or you might have any suggestion regarding some features that the game should have, feel free to let us know in the comments below, Steam forums or on our discord channel.
Along with the Winter Survival: Prologue release, we’d like to also dive a little bit deeper into one of our core mechanics in the game – sanity system🧠
[h2]What is a sanity system?🧠 [/h2]
The Sanity System is a unique feature that distinguishes Winter Survival from other survival games. In real life - people tend to be scared of wild animals and darkness. That’s the similar case in Winter Survival – you’re just a regular person, and sooner or later, you’ll realize that your mind is as important as your body.
[h2]How does the sanity system work?[/h2]
In general, whenever your mind or body suffers, you’ll see a sanity timer appearing as a circle around a debuff (i.e broken leg) or a particular need (thirst, hunger, energy or temperature). If you don’t fix the problem in time, the sanity timer will run out, affecting your brain. Eventually, your brain will be filled 100% causing you to choose a new symptom that will make the game more challenging.
Every time you choose to relive your experience, you’ll be able to do it differently. Want to survive, free from sanity? Learn to take better care of yourself. Or maybe you’re looking for a challenge? Let the madness inside then and let it rule your mind. See how far you can go before you break…

Just before we finish, we'd like to announce that we've heard your comments and we're currently working on implementing additional languages to the game, and you should expect them coming soon. What is more, let us know in the comments if you have any particular language in mind that we should add. Lastly, if you're willing to help in the proccess of translation, make sure to hit us up on discord, and we'll se what we can do.
