Season 4: Golden Isles

We’re excited to share the full patch notes for Season 4: Golden Isles, the last content update for Zenith: Nexus.

We gathered top player requests from the Zenith Discord and our community Feedbear, and we’ve been hard at work making those requests a reality. In addition to new content for Infinite Realms, you can expect quality of life fixes and the return of some old favorites for The Last City🪽. To help make the MMO experience more accessible for new players, we also decided to drop the price of Zenith: The Last City (DLC) from $29.99 to $9.99 USD.

We’re grateful to all the Zenitheans who have been here since the beginning, as well as anyone who chooses to pick up the game in the future. Your passion is what brings Zenith to life, and we hope you continue to make new friends and cherished memories in Zenith for the foreseeable future.

  • Added 3 new Adventure Gate layouts

Feature/System Updates

Nexus
  • Added two new inventory pages to both IR and TLC
  • IR purchased Cosmetics are now account bound and will populate in both IR and TLC
    • In order to see cosmetics in TLC directly after purchase in IR, a player must logout and then log back into IR. Then if the player logs out of IR and into TLC, the cosmetics will populate in the inventory of any player character




Infinite Realms
  • When a player character reaches level 100, they may now accept a quest from Mika in the City to increase their Prestige rank. This resets their levels & skill tree and converts unique items into cosmetics


The Last City
  • Return of original Fast Fly
  • Added basic item trading between players
  • Players can now reroll pet perks
  • Doubled item limit caps on Mark of Twilight, Mark of Dread, Mark of Devotion, and Celestial Fragment
  • Doubled the limit for running daily raids
  • Added ability to convert Essotech gear to Marks of Dread
  • Reduced the minimum player requirements from 4 players to 2 players for Defiled Gardens, Infernal Core and Pillar of the Architect
  • Reduced the minimum player requirements from 2 players to 1 player for Outlaw Grove
  • Players can now trade with Mika in Nexus City Essence of Arboruht to redeem the Baby Arby pet


Resolved Issues

Nexus
  • Reduced load screen duration in login edge cases


Infinite Realms
  • Avatar of Telos Arby's hammer no longer kills you instantly if you walk into it
  • Added a new error message to display when there are no IR shards to connect to
  • Using life modifiers on boss rush and dying no longer makes the city stop rendering
  • City waystone crystal is now climbable


The Last City
  • Corrected scaling issue for BM Combo with Primal
  • Player characters will now never experience unintentional negative movement/inverted controls
  • Increased drop chance for the Wither and Rot augment
  • Refinement pass on enemy audio and music loops
  • Players can now scrap while overencumbered


Known Issues

Nexus
  • If the bald hairstyle is equipped while playing out of body mode, the player character will be shown without a head


Infinite Realms
  • Rare grapple hook momentum bug where momentum stops while grappling
  • Some headgear doesn’t preview in inventory
  • The PVP start duel button isn't working


The Last City
  • When entering an dungeon/raid with fewer than the maximum amount of players for that instance, the instance will wait about 5 minutes before allowing players to continue. There is currently no UI to show remaining wait time
  • Lighting in certain areas will be slightly off like in the Infernal Core (some geo is black), and housing on PCVR, and shading on some objects from certain angles or at specific times of day
  • Housing will show a grid on initial load in. The grid will continue to show if the house doesn't have a floor


Patch #1

New Updates:
The Last City
  • Various bug fixes for item trading. Item trading is now reenabled.

Infinite Realms
  • Layouts rotation will now shuffle between various layouts from previous seasons.
  • The impacted group of players who purchased the 2000 Zennies package but did not receive the 250 bonus have been granted the missing amounts.
  • The Summer Jacket cosmetic will now populate in The Last City after purchase in Infinite Realms. Players will still need to log out of and back into Infinite Realms in order for the item to populate in The Last City.

Zenith Season 4: Golden Isles coming to PTR with community requests

PTR Release: August 9, 2024

Anyone who plays the Season 4 PTR for more than 2 hours will earn the character title "Aerial Ace". The character title will be distributed within a week of launch. We are also planning some fun and nostalgic community events. Stay tuned for community event announcements in Discord!

We’ve heard your wishlist requests, both in Discord and our community Feedbear, and now we’re looking back to you for testing and feedback. There are a number of popular community requests, bug fixes and quality of life improvements for The Last City and Infinite Realms in this PTR.

Preview of changelist for Season 4 PTR:

Nexus
  • Addition of two new inventory pages
  • IR purchased Cosmetics are now account bound and will populate in both IR and TLC
    • Upon purchasing Cosmetics in IR logout and then log back into IR. Once you have done this you can proceed to logout of IR and into TLC and the cosmetics will populate in the inventory for any character you select.

Note that players are not able to make in-app purchases while participating in the PTR. The cosmetics store in Infinite Realms will be intentionally disabled to prevent purchases.

Please be aware Season 4 work is still in progress. We want to get these changes out as early as possible to help surface issues, but these features and fixes are still subject to change.

Season 3: Emerald Grove Out Now!

We're excited to bring Season 3: Emerald Grove to Infinite Realms!

Season 3 brings fresh content including new island layouts, a new boss, new cosmetics, and bugfixes. More info below!

[h2]Season 3 Reset Details[/h2]
  • Character Level and Skill Tree (and Accrued Skill Points) will reset.
  • Character Agent Rank progress will reset.
  • Characters retain all Zen, Dust, and unlocked / purchased cosmetic items.
  • Previously acquired gear items will be automatically converted into dust.
  • For all "Unique" gear items acquired during the previous Season, characters will get to keep them as cosmetic items.
  • Characters will start with the default Starter Gear.
  • Characters that reached Level 10 or higher in the previous Season will gain a "Season Rank", indicating how many past Seasons the character participated in.
  • Characters will gain a "Season Level Prestige" indicating their character level in the previous season. In other words, each Character will get its own "Season Level Prestige"
  • Level 0-9 = Novice
  • Level 10 - 30 = Bronze
  • Level 31 - 50 = Silver
  • Level 51 - 75 = Gold
  • Level 76 - 99 = Diamond
  • Level 100 = Legendary

The Last City

  • Increased Epic Augment chance from 1% -> 15%
  • Increased staggerizer drop rate
  • Increased boss godstone drop rate from 2.6% for any given godstone to 3%

  • Players can now exit the credits by pressing B on on your right controller (Circle on PS VR2).
  • Fixed TLC / IR Selection Pop up not appearing after login
  • Fixed issues that could occur when canceling in progress Steam purchases

  • You may encounter an island that is a little too bright, this is Quest only and will be corrected ASAP
  • Agent Rank grunt enemy kill quest descriptions don't list enemies added in Season 3 (though kills will still contribute to quest progress)
  • Rare grapple hook momentum bug where momentum stops while grappling, if this occurs using the alternate hand will correct the issue
  • Some headgear doesn’t preview in inventory
  • The PVP start duel button isn't working
  • You may encounter some minor performance issues when using higher rarity item modifiers on standalone
  • You may encounter some performance issues at higher levels, this is being investigated
  • Your Season Rank may not display correctly for others until the second time you login


[h2]The Last City[/h2]
  • Lighting in certain areas will be slightly off like in the Infernal Core (some geo is black), and housing on PCVR, and shading on some objects from certain angles or at specific times of day

We're excited to bring another mid-season update for Infinite Realms that comes with a new premium cosmetic set and various bug fixes.

Added new Exiled Armor Premium Cosmetic Set
  • IR: Changing shards in game now consistently uses loading screen to prevent discomfort through frame drops / mini-freezes
  • IR: Fixed issue with enemies getting stuck (Boss Rush, Mini Bosses and Brutes)
  • IR: Removed unnecessary VFX spawning in the city
  • IR: Fixed issue with bosses & minibosses getting "stuck" to player characters
  • IR: Fixed issue with players getting stuck in the loading screen when changing shards
  • TLC: Added the "Change Shard" button back in
  • TLC: Fixed that Forsaken Reliquary Boss spawned inconsistently
  • TLC: Fixed general issues with instance boss behaviors
  • TLC: Fixed player level display issue



[h2]Community Event[/h2]

Boss Crush!

The goal for the community is to collectively complete 1000 or more boss rush events throughout this weekend May 17th to 20th.

If the goal is attained, anyone participating in the event will get the new title Boss Crusher! (This title will be Red)

The in-game message board will be updated daily with the community's progress.
