Summer Splash Event! New Stage, Boss and Challenges!
Welcome, Tricksters, to your holiday getaway!
The Trivia Tricks Summer Splash event is now available! Complete limited-time challenges to unlock exclusive Summer Splash cosmetics and, after warming up, test your team's communication skills against our hardest boss yet, Summer! All hosted by Mr Tricks on Isle de Trickster!
Introducing our latest boss, Summer! She's one with the waves and she's not afraid to use them! When facing off against Summer she will hide a different selection of answers for each player, so you'll need to communicate as a team to narrow down the right answer! Furthermore, Summer's Chance Round is a little different... introducing status effects!
Summer can ink Tricksters and take away some visibility of the current question, or freeze Tricksters in a block of ice! It's not all bad news though, the magnifying glass will help you see past Summer's shells, and the brand new super streak will also grant an incredible 2,500 points for every correct answer!... if you can keep it! In a future update we'll introduce these chance round effects to Standard Trivia, so stay tuned!
Finally, Summer Splash includes some limited-time challenges! Some will reward you with Summer Shells that can be exchanged for cosmetics, while others will give exclusive items immediately on completion! The fun's only just beginning as more challenges and cosmetics will launch on the 14th August!

- Summer will hide a different selection of answers for each player, so you'll need to communicate as a team to narrow down the right answer!
- Playing solo or only with local players? Summer becomes a memory challenge as the visible answer will alternate with time! Keep your head sharp!
- Unlock Summer's hair and our new achievement by outsmarting her in a game of Trivia
- Summer also comes with some new status bonus balls with unique effects! Read on!
Octopus Ink
- If you get hit by octopus ink while playing with other players you won't be able to read the question at all! Ask your friends for direction!
- Playing solo or with local players? Only some of the question will be covered proportional to the number of players inked. Try to fill in the gaps as a team!
- The magnifying glass will let you see through Summer's shells and make more answers visible at once!
- Immediately reach the new level of streak, the 'Super Streak'!
- This will grant an incredible 2,500 points for every correct answer!
- But regular streak rules apply! One wrong answer and it's gone!
- You'll be locked out of answering! Ouch!
- Every turn will have a chance of thawing. Brr! Chilly!
- We will be monitoring the balance of these new balls with the goal of introducing them as an option in Standard Trivia. Stay tuned!
- After accepting a game invite and being taken to the character select screen a dialog will inform players that they will join the game after picking their characters
- The titles on the character select screen and server browser screen have been updated to better inform players that game joining is a multi-step process
- The first draft of our official Remote Play Guide has been published! We will continue to update this guide to improve its clarity.
- The Remote Play 'More Info' link will now link to our official Remote Play Guide!
- Added over 65 additional questions, the majority suggested by the Discord community! Thank you to everyone who has suggested questions so far!
- Some now-outdated questions have been updated due to developments in the modern day
- Fixed some typos and cleaned up the wording on a variety of questions. Thanks to all of you who took the time to report these to us directly!
- The Twitch Chat voting bar chart has been moved so it will no longer overlay the fourth answer choice during boss games
- The camera now will correctly adjust to show the rules on the TV screen during the boss mode introduction
- Several other cases of rare inconsistent camera scene transitions have been resolved
- Fixed a case where, if all the chance round balls drawn were slower moving types, then Trivia Tricks would hang for a few seconds after the balls were given out to players
- Backend changes to how save files are created on first boot to support the addition of more AI characters
