Content Patch #2 -- Hotfix #8

The game has been patched to deal with a few bugs and Content Patch #3 is delayed due to the American healthcare system.

Delay
  • Updated the in-game timer to reflect Content Patch #3's delayed release due to my inability to get my prescribed medication (more information about that below)

This pains me greatly to do, but I physically and mentally cannot get work done on Luck be a Landlord at this point in time.

I have a stimulant medication prescribed to me for my ADHD which I take so I can function as a human being. Without it, it's nearly impossible for me to write a single line of code or plan out new content for the game.

According to my pharmacy, there was an "issue" with my health insurance provider, making it impossible for me to get the medication I need to get work done. Since it's currently a weekend and Monday is a federal holiday in the United States, I will likely only be able to get my medication on Tuesday at the earliest, assuming this non-existent "issue" gets worked out by then.

For this reason, I have to delay Content Patch #3 for two weeks as I can only actually work on the game once I am able to take my stimulant medication for my ADHD.

If you have any questions about this situation, I am more than happy to answer them to the best of my ability in the game's official discord. It's just likely that it will take me longer than usual to articulate properly due to my lack of medication.

I also highly recommend How to ADHD as a resource for learning more about ADHD and my situation. This video in particular summarizes the hoops we have to jump through to get ADHD medication in the United States.

Thank you for taking the time to read this,

-Dan

Bug Fixes
  • Fixed a bug where Compost Heap was adding Seeds for every symbol destroyed in the entire run (instead of just from when the player gets Compost Heap onward)
  • Fixed a bug where non-conditional multipliers weren't being retroactively applied (this was especially relevant when, for example, a Bronze Arrow points to a Lockbox and the Lockbox is destroyed)
