Introducing: Czechoslovakian Autocannon Light Tanks!

Commanders!

Update 1.26 introduces a brand-new Czechoslovakian light tank line into the game. These vehicles have great potential for bold and exciting gameplay due to the twin autocannons that most of them are wielding.
Spot and Shoot in Bursts
Starting from Tier VIII, all light tanks in the new Czechoslovakian line have twin autocannons as their main armament. Autocannons have medium calibers and a rapid rate of fire: up to 3,000 shots per minute. You can empty the guns' clip in one go, which takes just a few seconds. All of this gives a unique appeal to the gameplay of vehicles from the new branch.
 • Aim for vulnerable spots: Medium caliber means medium armor penetration.
 • Mind your dispersion: Due to the physics of rapid-fire guns, dispersion steadily increases during a burst. For your convenience, there’s a shooting efficiency indicator.
 • Do damage at close range: Accuracy also decreases as the distance to the target grows.
 • Choose the ammo type wisely: Opt for higher pen and lower damage, average pen and average damage, or lower pen and higher damage.
 • Flank enemies for phenomenal burst damage: If you load HE rounds and your target is not well-armored, you can literally rip it apart.
 • Plan your retreat: Firing autocannons lowers your camo values; luckily, your mobility is enough to escape (especially if you think about your options in advance).
 • Spot for the team: The new Czechoslovaks have decent base view ranges, so besides ripping enemies apart, they are good at the common light tanks' specialty: reconnaissance.
 • Take notice: Twin-barreled tank mechanics don't apply to twin autocannons, as their extremely high rate of fire negates consecutive/salvo shot mechanics. Plus, your rounds from both guns will be headed to a single point on the enemy vehicle rather than to two separate points.
Meet the New Czechoslovaks
Škoda T 17: This Tier VII light tank is the only one in the new branch without the signature twin autocannons, but it is sort of a transition vehicle. Its single autoloader gun has a clip of 5 rounds and a very short intra-clip reloading time.
Vz. 64 Blesk: This Tier VIII predator is the first in the line with the twin autocannons and the new and unusual things they drag in—like firing in controlled bursts (minding your increasing dispersion) and the shooting efficiency indicator.
LPT-67 Šelma: Sitting (most likely, prowling) at Tier IX, this light tank has the same gameplay formula as its predecessor. It's a decent scout, an absolute scourge of thin-armored foes, and a menace to those who have at least one medium-sized weak spot.
Vz. 71 Tesák: This tank at the top of the branch wields a pair of powerful 57-mm autocannons and by virtue of its tier, is the most dangerous enemy-shredder in the family. Its introduction will surely make waves in the meta. Try to ride them!

Crew Perks Update: A Revolutionary New System

Commanders!

Update 1.26 brings about a major revision of the Crew Perk System. It introduces new perks, rebalances existing ones, and provides flexible perk management options.
[previewyoutube][/previewyoutube]
Main Changes in the Crew Perk System
• Maximum Six Perks per Crew Member: Each crew member can now have a maximum of six perks (including zero perks). Directives will not effectively grant you a seventh perk under any circumstances.
 • Bonus Perks: Crew members with multiple roles benefit from the "bonus perk" system. This allows the perks of additional qualifications to be trained alongside the main perks without requiring extra XP or increasing training time.
 • Shared Perk Effectiveness: In crews where multiple members share the same role, such as two loaders, the effectiveness of their perks is now shared between them. To achieve 100% effectiveness of a perk, both crew members must fully train it.
 • Rebalanced and New Perks: Over a dozen new perks have been introduced. Additionally, existing perks, such as "Sound Detection" and "Firefighting", have been rebalanced.
 • Post-Progression System: Half of the Crew XP earned by six-perk crews in battles will contribute to a single Post-Progression, rewarding players with a Universal Training Guide after reaching 100,000 XP milestones.
 • Perk Reset Options: Resetting a crew member will also affect Zero Perks, allowing you to choose an entirely new perk setup. Two new buttons in the Barracks enable players to simultaneously reset and assign perks for all crew members.
Implementation of Changes: Key Outtakes
• Players with crew members exceeding the six-perk limit will receive compensation in the form of National Crew Books.
 • For the first 30 days after Update 1.26, players can reset perks as many times as they like, for any crew. Afterward, each crew member will have one free reset.

Onslaught: Season of the Azure Manticore Is Coming Your Way!

Welcome to the Year of the Manticore, Commanders!

Prepare for another challenging battle journey as we kick off the 2024-2025 Onslaught annual cycle! It will feature three dynamic seasons with a shared progression system, starting with the Season of the Azure Manticore with the release of Update 1.26.
Annual Rewards: Introducing the Stinger
The Onslaught 2024-2025 Annual Reward includes the Stinger, a Tier X heavy tank that is a stunning replica of the T57 Heavy Tank. This unique vehicle features a striking 3D style and comes with a special crew that adds to its exclusivity. Collect 9 or more Onslaught Colors (special mode’s currency) across the Seasons to earn this exceptional tank, along with other valuable rewards.

In addition to the Annual Reward, you will also be able to earn various seasonal customization rewards, including the fresh "Hybrid Beast" progressive 2D style.
Changes in the Ranking System: Rebalanced Progression
We’ve streamlined the ranking system to make it more balanced and accessible:
 • Iron Rank: Major adjustments to make progression easier.
 • Bronze Rank: Moderate changes to facilitate smoother advancement.
 • Silver Rank: Minor tweaks to enhance the ease of moving up.
Lucky Chips Missions
Onslaught will feature weekly Lucky Chips missions that must be completed consecutively and are exclusive to the mode. Each mission brings you some valuables, like days of WoT Premium Account, bonds, or credits. On top of that, completing a week’s set of five missions gives you a Lucky Chip. Every additional Lucky Chip will automatically bring you a new reward.
Updated Modifiers for Battles
For the first time in Onslaught (and World of Tanks), we’re rolling out a change to one of the essential gameplay mechanics:
 • Range of Potential Damage: Reduced from +/-25% to a more predictable +/-12%.

Given the competitive spirit of Onslaught, this adjustment makes damage outcomes in the mode more predictable and reliable.

We've also updated several other modifiers and introduced additional changes—find out more details from our portal article.

Frontline Returns with Episode 2: Epic 30v30 Battles Await!

Commanders!

Frontline is back with Episode 2, available from August 19 through August 26. It features intense and highly tactical 30v30 engagements with a dynamic battle scenarios system. Players follow the rules of one of three scenarios randomly selected before the start of a battle.
Maps
All Frontline maps have three lines. The first two lines consist of 1×1 km sectors which the attackers must capture. The undivided third line houses the main objectives of the attacking side: massive gun turrets.

The set of colossal (9 km² each) locations is the same as usual: you can find yourself on green Normandie, snow-covered Kraftwerk, or sandy Fata Morgana.
Dynamic Battle Scenarios
The dynamic battle scenarios system from the last Episode is in place, offering three different sets of rules regarding Combat Reserves. You play by one of the three scenarios selected randomly before a battle begins (the scenario type will be shown on the loading screen).

 • Standard Battle (34% chance): Combat Reserves are used as per the regular Frontline rules.
 • Operational Support (33% chance): The cooldown time for Combat Reserves is decreased by 50% (after the start of a battle, respawning, or unlocking a new Reserve).
 • Twist of Fate (33% chance): Upon reaching certain ranks in this scenario, choose between two randomly selected Combat Reserves. Combat Reserves placed in slots in the Garage before battle have a better chance of being offered for selection, and the level of Reserves purchased with Combat Reserve Points will increase by 1 in battle (so they will have four levels).
Rewards
In Episode 2 of Frontline, you can get plenty of rewards. Along with Combat Reserve Points, they include Experimental Equipment, Battle Pass Points, bonds, a Universal Manual, Directives, and Retraining Orders.
