In January 2022 we released a bunch of WoT-themed customizations for the Steam Points Shop. Since then, we’ve come across hundreds of Steam users with a World of Tanks animated frame, avatar, or profile background—and we’re happy to see them every single time! We were excited to receive lots of positive feedback from you, so adding more eye-catching items to the WoT Points Shop was only a matter of time. And the time has come!

We are adding nine brand-new animated customization elements for you to decorate your profiles with: three new avatars, two frames, two profile backgrounds, and two mini-profile backgrounds. All these items are divided into two sets, one of which is festive and snowy, imbued with the special atmosphere of the winter holidays, while the other is brutal and dusty, inspired by one of the coolest-looking maps in World of Tanks: Highway. Collect them all and mix them up as you like!

You can get Steam Points in the following two ways:

• By shopping on Steam: Every $1.00 you spend on any game, DLC, hardware, application, soundtrack, or in-game items gives you 100 Steam Points.
  
• By receiving awards from the Community: If your Steam activity (e.g. reviews, comments, screenshots, videos, guides, or Workshop items) gets awarded by other Steam users, you will receive a certain number of Steam Points for each award.
  

You can spend Steam Points in the following ways:

• By awarding another member of the Steam Community
  
• By purchasing items in the Steam Points Shop to customize your Steam presence (choose from a variety of emoticons, profile backgrounds, avatars, frames, and many other items)

World of Tanks celebrated its 12th anniversary in 2022, and it was a compelling, eventful year for our game.

We added a new branch of Italian tank destroyers and launched Arcade Cabinet, a platform for experiments and weekend battles with non-standard rules. You had the opportunity to test yourself in Onslaught, explore new maps in Recon Mission, go on an adventure in Pumpkin Bash, and join Random Battles in the legendary Waffenträger auf E 100.

To improve your gameplay experience, we also introduced new matchmaking rules for wheeled vehicles and SPGs. Also, the Sixth Sense perk became a special feature for all vehicle commanders. All that and much more has been done together with you—many thanks to everyone for your support and feedback!

We have big plans. Ahead of us is the next stage of work on vehicle rebalancing and adding new vehicle branches to the game. In the Recon Mission mode, we'll continue to experiment with settings and maps, as well as introduce unusual rules. A new location will be added to the map list for Random Battles, while the existing maps will constantly be improved.

All the features you've enjoyed will be continued and enhanced. Spectacular game events await—including Onslaught, Frontline, and Steel Hunter—and will be launched several times a year.

Starting from February 2023, we'll be launching detailed content on upcoming features and game events. There really are a lot of plans, so stay tuned to find out all the details and share your feedback!

But for now, we hope you’re enjoying the cool rewards and festive atmosphere of Holiday Ops 2023. Together with our incredible celebrities, we plan to continue bringing you many more wonderful surprises and memorable moments!

Earn Tokens and use them to receive useful rewards from the Gift Terminal – including a brand-new Tier IX Special Soviet Object 283 medium tank! [h3]Grab the Free DLC![/h3]

Remember that until January 9, 2023, all Steam players can get an exclusive DLC completely for free! It contains 50 pieces of each Holiday Ops resource and a special mission with a Tier VI Premium British Sherman VC Firefly medium tank as a reward. In order to park this dangerous British medium in your Garage, you just need to add the DLC to your Steam account, log in to the game, and then finish the mission before January 21, 2023, at 09:00 UTC!
