Frontline, our most epic game mode, is returning to World of Tanks with an updated progression and other balance adjustments. We'll be sharing a separate article with you in the coming months that will go into more detail about all the exciting changes we’ve made to your favorite mode, so stay tuned!

A host of great activities with exciting gameplay and cool rewards are yet to come, Commanders! Here's what awaits you this summer:

• [h3]SUMMER GLOBAL MAP EVENT [/h3]
  Iron Age, a new Global Map event, is coming to World of Tanks! Once again, the most powerful clans will lock horns to prove their superiority and earn a bunch of valuable rewards, including mighty Tier X vehicles. Get ready for heated battles, and may the strongest win!
  
  
• [h3]WOT 7 TOURNAMENT (EU servers)[/h3]
  The next iteration of our WoT7 tournament series will take place in August, featuring exciting matches with Tier X vehicles, magnificent tank commanders, and fantastic rewards. Gather your friends and compete against others, or sit back, relax, and follow the action during our livestream.

  Come celebrate the first man on the moon! On July 15th, we will celebrate this historic moment with in-game missions and space-themed rewards.

  The second launch of Frontline 2022 will take place in August. All in all, this epic mode will keep its main principles from the first launch. However, to make things even more exciting, we've adjusted the progression system and changed some of the balance parameters. • [h3]BATTLE PASS SEASON VIII [/h3]
  Battle Pass Season VIII is here for the entire summer! As always, there's a whole bunch of valuable Base and Improved Rewards up for grabs, including unique Warhammer 40,000-themed 3D styles. Don't miss this opportunity to get your hands on them while you still can!

After two weeks of intense battles on six map candidates, the Recon Mission event is over. We appreciate your solid input into shaping the future of World of Tanks. Over 205,019 players in Europe tested out the proposed map prototypes, and 172,547 of them found time to complete the questionnaires. In total, more than 4,784,850 Recon Mission battles were played in Europe. And we’re happy to report that everything went smoothly: we received valuable feedback, gathered loads of battle statistics, and can now officially name the two most successful locations: Aquila and Anykeyyevka.

During the event, players could test out six map candidates, three of which were modified prototypes from last year, while the other three were brand new. After playing at least six battles on a map, you could complete a detailed questionnaire, pointing out that map’s strengths and weaknesses.

Stay tuned for updates on the best maps from this event. We’ll share more news closer to their planned releases, including the finalized looks of these locations. We understand that you want to start playing on your new favorite maps ASAP. However, know that we want these locations to truly look their best and be well-balanced, so you can continue having fun on them for as long as possible. It takes a significant amount of time to bring a map to release quality, but we are working at top speed. In the meantime, we kindly ask for your patience and assure you it will be well rewarded. As a reminder, the first “graduate” of Recon Mission, the Outpost map, will enter Random Battles in September 2022 and the second, Oyster Bay, will arrive in early 2023.

Our group has discovered an unknown object in sector F33. The object is not marked on any of our maps. Moving in for initial inspection.

Description: several concrete buildings of unknown purpose with an open area resembling a testing ground, all surrounded by a partially destroyed fence. The object looks like a military base, but our radars have not detected any signs of surrounding activity. Continuing inspection.

During a regular recon mission, one of our exploration squads came across a group of mysterious buildings that were not marked on our maps.

After a thorough inspection, it was concluded that the object was used as a secret military training base for tankers. According to archive documentation obtained during the examination of the area, the base was used for developing and testing a complex device called the Challenge Generator.

This device was designed as part of a secret project for a new experimental training technique for tankers. Unfortunately, there is no information about the results of the experiment or the reason for abandoning the project. Still, our research group is determined to find out as much as possible about this mysterious device. During the next three weeks, we are launching a series of tests on this unusual machine, and we need your help!



[h3]The Challenge Generator[/h3]

Our scientists are doing their best to learn everything about the Challenge Generator, but the humongous device still holds a lot of mysteries. Nevertheless, we have managed to uncover a few important details!

[h2]Key Points [/h2]

• At the start of each week during the event, the Challenge Generator will randomly create one special challenge for you. To find it, go to “MISSIONS” tab in your Garage and scroll down to the “New Challenge” section. There you will be able to see the exact conditions and the rewards for completion.
  
• You will have a week to complete the generated challenge – right until the next mission is generated for you. If you fail to finish the mission in time, it will disappear, and you will not receive the rewards.
  
  

  Our assistants have made a schedule to help you remember the most important dates for this event:
  
  

  • First Weekly Challenge: June 20, 2022, at 06:00 UTC until June 27, 2022, at 05:59 UTC
    
  • Second Weekly Challenge: June 27, 2022, at 06:00 UTC until July 4, 2022, at 05:59 UTC
    
  • Third Weekly Challenge: July 4, 2022, at 06:00 UTC until July 11, 2022, at 05:59 UTC
    

• The Challenge Generator can randomly generate missions with three difficulty levels. The more difficult the mission, the better the reward!
  
  

  Our researchers noticed that the difficulty level is indicated within the name of each challenge.
  
  

  • #001XXX – Easy challenge
    
  • #002XXX – Medium challenge
    
  • #003XXX – Hard challenge
    

• The challenge conditions tend to have one thing in common: you need to prove your mastery by receiving a certain Honorary Rank, Commemorative Token, or a Battle Hero Medal several times in Random or Grand Battles.
  
• If you complete more than one weekly challenge during the event, you will receive extra rewards as a special thanks from our research team. Those who complete all three weekly challenges will earn the biggest prize!
