Battle Mechanics

Eligible Vehicles
You can participate in Pumpkin Bash battles in any Tier VI–VIII vehicle. The matchmaker will try to set up a single-tier, 15v15 battle. If that isn’t possible, the matchmaker will consider other options: first, multi-tiered battles, and then the 10v10 and 7v7 formats.

Wheeled vehicles will have separate battles in the Pumpkin Bash mode with the same matchmaker logic. On some occasions, you may have to wait in a queue for your battle to start.

For those who don’t have wheeled vehicles, the following rental ones will be available for the duration of Pumpkin Bash:
 • Panhard AMD 178B
 • Hotchkiss EBR
 • Panhard EBR 75 (FL 10)
Victory Conditions
Unabashed Halloween PvP fun shows in very special victory conditions. In Pumpkin Bash engagements, you can win in either of the following ways:
 • Capturing both (yes—BOTH) bases
 • Helping your team do more overall damage than the other side before the battle ends
Resurrection
Relentless foe-bashing is more than welcome because, should your vehicle get destroyed, you respawn again in the same vehicle in designated Resurrection Points, with no limits for resurrections. You come back into battle with full ammo, regular consumables, and special consumables (Combat Abilities) that you had at the battle’s start. By the way, repairs and ammo are free and unlimited in Pumpkin Bash. It should be noted that you receive neither credits nor XP in Pumpkin Bash battles, but the prizes more than make up for that!
Combat Abilities
Pumpkin Bash magical Combat Abilities come in addition to regular consumables in event battles. Passive Combat Abilities give your vehicle some juicy bonuses, and Active Combat Abilities bestow some quirky beneficial effects upon your ride. They cost just 3,000 credits each in the in-game Store. Before a Pumpkin Bash battle, you can outfit your tank with up to three different Combat Abilities, mixing and matching them as you wish. It doesn’t matter how many of them are Active or Passive. You can even go all Active or all Passive.

Combat Abilities are activated with the 1, 2, and 3 buttons, and the shell types are instead mapped to the 7, 8, and 9 buttons. This is for your convenience, as you most likely will use Combat Abilities more often than you will change your shell type in Pumpkin Bash battles. The regular consumables stay in their place (buttons 4, 5, and 6).
Jack-o’-Lantern
The Jack-o’-Lantern is an arcane source of various super buffs you may pick up during the battle, some of which can potentially alter the battle’s course. Cast a glance at the minimap often (as you always do), and you’ll know when this epically magical drop appears. Keep in mind that the Jack-o’-Lantern bonus is random, so you won’t see what you’ll pick up until you do! Once you have it, you keep the buff until your vehicle is destroyed.
Maps
Pumpkin Bash battles take place on four maps. These locations will seem vaguely familiar because they have been “Halloweenified,” becoming mysterious and even mystical. While the maps are darker than usual, a full moon is shining brightly over each of them, so you’ll see where to drive to and what to aim at.

                                    Murovanka
                                    Studzianki
                                      Pilsen
                                    Ruinberg
Progression

Stages
The Pumpkin Bash progression consists of five Stages. For every Stage, there’s a three-day period to complete its Quests and claim the rewards. After that, the Stage gets locked and the next one starts. Make sure not to miss any of the Stages—some of the prizes’ features work only in a team (more on that in the Rewards section below). And make sure to log in daily for a helping of Combat Abilities!
Halloween Points
Sorcery-infused armored combat gives you Halloween Points after each battle you win. The number of Halloween Points you receive is calculated according to the same rules as the amount of XP in Random Battles.
Stage Missions
Every Stage has two Stage Missions for you. To complete the first one, you need to earn Halloween Points. You will receive bonds and regular consumables. The second Mission of every Stage requires you to use a specific Combat Ability in multiple Pumpkin Bash battles. The reward is a fabulous female crew member or a sarcastic feline crew member, plus a special personalized 2D style of theirs and some decals.
Rewards

Witch Crew
Bonds and consumables are good, but we dare say the first-ever witch crew is even better! Especially considering it’s a fully voiced crew of sorceress tankers and their token cat. And by “fully voiced,” we mean every crew member has custom lines and reactions to what is happening in a given moment.

[expand]

[/expand]
To have them all talking (and to make your battles feel like something between a road trip movie and a magic carpet ride), you need to put all five magical crew members into the same vehicle. That’s why it’s important to complete all five Stages of the Pumpkin Bash event! However, if you do miss some Stages, don’t worry—you’ll still be able to unlock supernatural crew members, 2D styles, and decals for gold later.

When only the commander, Cordelia Astra, is present in a tank of yours, the limited second-option soundtrack will activate, which features the lead witch’s vocals.

Also, all five members of the team have the Coven zero perk. It works exactly like Brothers in Arms but has a special arcane flair. On top of that, each witch—and the cat—has enough experience to fully train a second perk or skill right off the bat (pun intended).
2D Styles
Each Pumpkin Bash heroine and their hero cat comes with a fit-all 2D style. Their patterns are the same, but the coloring is different. Along with the reward ones, there are two more 2D styles to remember Halloween 2022: “Iron Jack” and “Boo”. They are both obtainable in special packages in the in-game Store.

Known Issues

[expand]
 • If a player’s vehicle gets destroyed while spotted, it will respawn spotted. Any possible harm resulting from this will be offset by a temporary invulnerability shield applied to every vehicle after it gets resurrected.
 • The gun reload time shown in the Garage and in battle may differ insignificantly (with the former exceeding the latter by less than 1%). In such cases, the correct reload time is the one shown in battle.
 • If a player disconnects while in battle with Combat Abilities activated and then reconnects, the activated abilities may not be highlighted in the UI.
 • Battle replays are not officially supported for Pumpkin Bash battles, but you can still record them. Minor graphics glitches (mostly UI-related) are possible.
 • If you enter the Pumpkin Bash event screen (the one with the progression Stages shown) and then go to the Exterior screen, the in-game Store (via Daily Mission or Extend WoT Premium), or Missions screen (via Daily Mission), and then go back to your Garage, you have to click on the Pumpkin Bash window to get on the event screen again. (For example: when you go back to your Garage, you find yourself where you are always at when you launch the game.)
Free Sixth Sense
The Sixth Sense perk is now free for every existing vehicle commander, as well as those you obtain in the future. If any of your crew members already have the perk, all of the XP you invested into Sixth Sense will be refunded. This XP will first be used to completely train their major qualification to 100%, and then on the last skill or perk that was being trained, and finally, on Crew XP that can be spent on a new skill or perk. If you have questions, refer to the dedicated article.
Improved Personal Reserves
Personal Reserves have been streamlined. Now, there are just three types of Reserves (one per slot) and two levels of bonuses. Plus, all Personal Reserves will have a duration of 1 hour. This means no more complicated calculations. The modified UI allows you to activate Personal Reserves on the fly, even during battle. Your old Personal Reserves have been converted into the new ones using a conversion rate that works in your favor. Check out the dedicated article for more details.
LIST OF CHANGES
The End of the Waffenträger: Legacy

“Where Are You, Papi?”
(An excerpt from the personal diary of Ermelinda Jung)
Finally. Everything is back in its place, just as it was a few days ago. Still, the wind hasn’t yet managed to blow away the already-annoying smell of burnt wires. We returned to the starting point and bought ourselves some time to prepare for another stupid invasion. If there is one, of course. The situation is complicated. On the one hand, we have the Alliance, with its maniacal desire to “solve” a problem that they created themselves. And on the other hand, we have my father, who, with stoic patience, has been forced to respond to their aggression over and over again.

But he wasn't around for this battle, and that couldn’t have been an accident. A person who always plans their moves several steps ahead of the game, like a good chess player, would surely have known about the upcoming attack. Nevertheless, the Alliance couldn't have known that he was away, unless their dogs were somehow involved in it. And given their ridiculous attempt to assault our fortifications once again, I refuse to believe that they are capable of something like this.

But if my father knew they were coming and left me to defend our land, what was it? A test? Why? To make sure he had trained a worthy replacement? I’ve never given him any reason to doubt my skills, and dad would not have left when there was so much work to do. No, no, it can't be. It’s only natural that I fought off the Harriers so elegantly. We’ve been improving our defense systems around the clock, gaining knowledge, building algorithms and developing methods of counteraction. A victory was the only possible outcome. Then again, we had Villanelle against us (I finally learned her name), and as far as I know, she is the only one of these bloated Alliance officers who could ever get my father to talk. Personally. Face to face. So there's no way they could have known he wasn't here.

Thankfully, no one will ever read this diary of mine. I wouldn’t want anyone to find out how inferior my analytical skills are to my technical talent. The odds are definitely on my side. Even if the Harriers do return, it won’t be for a long time. So I have more important things to worry about. My father is still missing. If this was a test, he would have already scolded me for making such a mess (underlined, with a note in the margin: "Convert one of the Sentinel platoons into ARVs") and praised me for my skills.

Where are you? The Alliance (rightly) considers me a force to be reckoned with, but you’re the only one who knows how hard it is for me to be alone. Without your support. Without the "Why are the wrenches scattered all over the garage?" I'm not a warrior, and you never raised me to be one. However, when I look back at the fury that overcame me when I destroyed those attackers invading my... OUR home, I see that there are two completely different people living within me. And I don't know which Ermelinda you would prefer to have on your team.

It has been a long time since I let myself vent like this. And that's because the worst thing a person can do is lose control of a situation. Still, I fear that I have. And it's all because of these demons of doubt that have been attacking me for the past several days.

Focus. Enough distractions. I think I should switch gears and just enjoy the moment. After all, my steel friends are still crushing the Alliance, yet I’ve somehow forgotten to enjoy the nice taste of... revenge? I'll make you proud, Papi, I promise. Just come back soon.

Coffee. I need another mug.

Sixth Sense: A Special Commander Feature

Greetings, Commanders!

When Update 1.18.1 goes live, the Sixth Sense perk will become a special commander feature. This means that it will always be available for all crew commanders in the game, and you will no longer need to train it. We are sure that this change will make battles more enjoyable for all players, especially new ones. Let’s see how it works and what will happen to your newly available perk slot.
Crew 2.0 Sandbox Test: A Look Back
In 2021, we tested Crew 2.0 in Sandbox. From the very beginning of testing, the Sixth Sense perk was made available as a default perk for all crew commanders. We received a huge number of questions, feedback, and comments. Clearly, players were very interested in these major proposed changes. After completing the tests, we took a break and carefully analyzed the statistics and feedback we obtained with your help. It was obvious that Crew 2.0 required further improvements, and its main changes could not be released in this form. However, we decided to first develop the solutions you would find most useful, including the Sixth Sense perk as a special commander feature.

Since then, we have been gradually moving forward, refining and improving some of the ideas shown on the Sandbox server. The Sixth Sense perk will be the first Crew improvements from these ideas introduced to the game. In the future, other changes to the Crew concept will follow. However, we will get into more detail about that at a later date.
Free Sixth Sense: General Rules and Compensation
Sixth Sense will become a special feature for all current and future crew commanders that you recruit, receive, or retrain. It will be available automatically starting from the crew commander’s first battle, regardless of the major qualification level. The mechanics of the Sixth Sense perk will work the same as before.

If any of your commanders already possess the Sixth Sense perk, the XP you spent to train the perk will be fully compensated upon the release of Update 1.18.1, and then automatically re-distributed in the following order of priority:
 1. To reach 100% of your commander’s major qualification (if it was below 100%).
 2. To train the last skill of the commander to 100% (if there was any skill that was not fully trained).
 3. The remaining experience will go to the commander experience pool and can be spent on a new skill/perk of your choice.
Example:

UPDATE 1.18
UPDATE 1.18.1
Major qualification — 100%

Sixth Sense — 100%
Major qualification — 100%

Sixth Sense — special commander feature

New skill/perk of your choice — 100%

If the Sixth Sense perk has not been trained to 100%, then the experience spent on it will go towards reaching 100% of your commander's major qualification. The remaining XP will go back to the commander experience pool, so you can select and start training a new skill/perk of your choice. This new skill/perk will automatically be upgraded to the same level as the original Sixth Sense perk (e.g., 70% for 70%).

Example:

UPDATE 1.18
UPDATE 1.18.1
Major qualification — 90%

Sixth Sense — 70%
Major qualification — 100%

Sixth Sense — special commander feature

New skill/perk of your choice — 41%*
*Training the first perk from 0% to 70% requires 51,172 XP. To reach 100% of your commander’s major qualification with 90%, you need 39,153 XP. The remaining 12,019 XP is only enough for 41% of the new skill/perk.

After the release of Update 1.18.1, the Increased Focus directive will no longer be available for purchase. Already purchased/received directives of this type will remain in your Depot, and you can continue to use them to strengthen the effect of the Sixth Sense feature until they are all used up.
Interface Improvements
We have also slightly redesigned the crew interface, making it clearer and easier to navigate. Special commander features and zero skills/perks will now be displayed separately. In the screenshots below, you will find these changes.
Sixth Sense as a Zero Perk
If your commander possesses Sixth Sense as the zero perk, you will be able to choose any of the 4 basic perks and skills (Repair, Firefighting, Concealment, Brothers in Arms), or any of the major qualification perks in its place as a zero perk (this rule also applies to each crew member who possessed Sixth Sense).

If Sixth Sense was a zero perk and you managed to train some other perks, you can still make them the new zero perk.

Example:

You have trained 5 perks, including Sound Detection. You will now be able to set Sound Detection as the zero perk. This perk will no longer be on your list of trained perks, and the XP you spent to train it will be compensated and automatically re-distributed in the same order as the fully trained Sixth Sense perk.

UPDATE 1.18
UPDATE 1.18.1
Sound Detection — 40%

Sixth Sense — zero perk

Major qualification — 100%

Brothers in Arms— 100%

Firefighting — 100%
Sound Detection — zero perk

Sixth Sense — special commander feature

Major qualification — 100%

Brothers in Arms — 100%

Firefighting — 100%

New skill/perk of your choice — 40%

Instead of the Sixth Sense zero perk, you can choose any basic skill/perk (Repair, Firefighting, Concealment, Brothers in Arms), or any skill/perk from your crew member's major qualification. For example, for the Commander (other than the basic skills/perks), you can choose from:
 1. Jack of All Trades
 2. Mentor
 3. Recon
 4. Eagle Eye
Accordingly, if you retrain your Commander to Loader, you’ll be able to choose from:
 1. Safe Stowage
 2. Intuition
 3. Adrenaline Rush
Remember, you can only choose a new zero perk once and you won’t be able to change it later.
Roll out and stay tuned, Commanders!
