[h2]The AltProto AMX 30: Meet the Brand-New French Medium Tank![/h2]

This Tier VIII Premium is equipped with a menacing regular (cyclic) gun that deals 300 HP of alpha damage, which is respectable for a medium tank of this tier.

In addition, the AltProto AMX 30 features the second-highest armor penetration value (232 mm) with a standard shell among all Tier VIII medium tanks in the game. Armor penetration with a special APCR shell is even higher (263 mm), which makes this tank a dangerous enemy for most well-armored vehicles.

The parameters displayed are valid for the vehicle with each crew member trained to 100% major qualification level. Some vehicle characteristics can be further improved with the Commander's bonus to major qualification level, crew perks, and skills, as well as special in-game items.

Its top speed of 65 km/h is impressive for a medium tank, and, due to its good power-to-weight ratio, the AltProto AMX 30 accelerates quickly and maintains speed confidently. And if the combat situation isn’t working in your favor, or you need to quickly retreat or change flank, the AltProto AMX 30 will quickly disappear from the enemy's view range.

Like some other French vehicles, the hull armor is not this medium’s strongest feature. However, its upper glacis plate is at a very uncomfortable angle for opponents, so hitting it will not be as easy as it might appear.

Thanks to the tough gun mantlet that covers almost the entire frontal turret projection, the AltProto AMX 30 can take full advantage of the 11 degrees of gun depression and successfully use hull-down tactics on any map. Hiding a vulnerable hull and taking an advantageous position, this vehicle will allow you to confidently inflict damage from a distance.

And, of course, like any Premium vehicle, considering its armor penetration and alpha damage with a standard shell, this tank farms credits well, so playing in it is not only exciting but also profitable.

[h2]Chapter I—Tracking the Beast: How It Works[/h2]

Your furious hunt for the brand-new AltProto AMX 30 will run for 10 days. To get this French beast, you need to complete 10 consecutive Stages by fulfilling missions for mastery or for commitment, all in Random Battles. You can track your progress via a special banner in the Garage without opening a separate Challenge tab.

• Missions for mastery are hard, but fulfilling them will save you time. You can only complete these tasks using Tier IX and X vehicles.
  
• Missions for commitment must be completed using Tier VI–X vehicles. Your result will only count if you are in the top 10 on your team by base XP earned at the end of the battle, no matter whether your team is victorious.
  

Both sets of tasks can be fulfilled simultaneously, given that all conditions are met. The mission that is completed first will count towards your progress for the next task on either path: commitment or mastery.

Whichever path you end up taking, each completed Stage will bring you a host of rewards, including tons of credits, Personal Reserves, days of WoT Premium Account, directives, and more.

In addition, each Stage knocks 10% off the final price of the AltProto AMX 30. If you complete all 10 Stages of Chapter I within the given timeframe, you will get this brand-new vehicle—with a Garage slot and its 100% trained crew with Brothers in Arms as a zero perk—for free!

Chapter II missions will also last for 10 days, from November 26 at 09:00 CET (UTC+1) through December 6 at 09:00 CET (UTC+1). This Chapter will award you with a striking 3D style, Char de Chastel. All Chapter II missions will be available only for those who already have the AltProto AMX 30 in their Garage. The faster you get this vehicle by completing Chapter I, the more rewards you can earn from the Chapter II missions.

Plus, each mission completed will provide you with a 12.5% discount* on the 3D style bundle, which means you can get it for free as soon as you complete any eight tasks of the Chapter. You can view the mission conditions and track your progress while completing tasks on a separate tab in the event's interface.

*The total discount on the package with the 3D style and Personal Reserves cannot exceed 100%.

The spectacular Char de Chastel 3D style is inspired by the legend of the Beast of Gévaudan. This mysterious monster terrorized the French county of Gévaudan in the 18th century and was hunted down by the legendary huntsman, Jean Chastel.

With its gorgeous knightly style, this custom look will turn the AltProto AMX 30 into a formidable war machine. The style features plates of lightly rusted metal, iron spikes, and medieval axes. But the most spectacular elements are the sharpened steel blades on the lower glacis plate and a massive catapult mounted on the vehicle's turret.
