The Animation for the Lookout Towers in Japan will no longer hit the ground.

[h2]Missions & Challenges[/h2]

If you have experienced a block after completing the Railway Fishing mission or White Spotted Char Gear Challenge then you will unfortunately have to wait a little longer before being able to progress. We have identified a fix but we need to cook a little longer for those who have already hit these blockers.

This Hotfix will stop this block from triggering for new players who play these missions/gear challenges.

We've fixed a crash that was caused when scrolling down the list of lures while using the Quick Menu.

[h2]UI[/h2]
Space bar will no longer function as if it is the enter key and will no longer send messages when pressed.

Japan - Removed incorrectly listed baits from Amur Catfish, Sahkalin Taimen and Cherry Salmon (Bloodworm, Marshmallows & Eggs)

Japan - Fish weight corrections for fish that appeared to be underweight when caught (Chum Salmon, Sockeye Salmon & Feral Koi)

[h3]Fish Variations[/h3]
This feature came in last week's patch, but we want to spread the word! Every single catch you get on Golden Ridge Reserve or Kamuibetsu National Park will be completely unique. It's actually unlikely for you to find any two fish that look the same. There are a few fish that have this feature on other reserves, but you'll definitely see them if you catch a Golden Ridge or Japanese fish.


[h3]Gameplay[/h3]
• On keyboard, you can now press SPACE or ENTER to release a fish on the catch screen.

[h3]Audio[/h3]
• The strike sound can now be heard again.

[h3]Visuals[/h3]
• The fish variations on Golden Ridge Reserve have been polished a bit.
• The fish have been SHAVED?! Issues with Motion Blur and Alti-Aliasing no longer make your fish appear fuzzy in the reward pose and handbook.
• Fixed an issue where the water and terrain would disappear in some instances after releasing fish and opening the quick menu.

• Fixed a crash that would happen in certain instances when using the quick menu.
• Various other crash and stability fixes.

• Fixed some translation issues.

[h3]Night of the Swimming Dead[/h3]
Near Diamond's Peak, you may find the fish are looking a bit... see through and glowy?! Get out your EMF reader because this lake is HAUNTED. These ghost fish drop ghost tokens, which may come in handy.

[h3]It's Horror Movie Night[/h3]
Before you muster up the courage to watch a horror flick, head to the popcorn machine. There you will be able to spend your ghost tokens. Make sure to pop them just right or you will lose your hard earned doubloons! Winning popcorn will give you an event token that can be used to buy limited-time souveniers.

[h3]Talk to Spook-ia[/h3]
Head over to Sophia to cash in your tokens. You can use your tokens from the popcorn machine to get Halloween items from last year, but we also have some new goodies. Don't miss picking up your free t-shirt, but we also have gloves, tops, spooky lures, and of course, terrifying masks. Two new masks are perfect for getting a jumpscare on your friends. Or maybe you want to unsettle them with a little dance.

[h2]In case you missed it[/h2]
On Tuesday, we released a patch that added variations to ALL fish on Golden Ridge Reserve. Fish have unique colors and markings depending on the species. In fact, it's unlikely any two that you catch will look exactly the same! When Japan comes out next Tuesday, all those fish will also be completely unique. We hope you enjoy.

Some of you found your way into the upcoming Japan Reserve after yesterday's patch. We have now hotfixed that, so we hope those of you who got a taste of Japan had a good time while you could! Only 6 more days... Hang in there?

Additionally, there was a fix for the fishing line line acting wonky in the catch animation and some backend fixes.
