A First Look at Upcoming Changes to Sons of Valhalla
Hello everyone!
As some of you may have noticed, things have become a bit quiet about Sons of Valhalla. That doesn't mean that we aren't working on the game - the opposite is the case.
As you can imagine we are not satisfied with the current state of the reviews. There are several points that were mentionend quite often in the reviews, which made us think about some design decisions and we're now at the point to take a radical step to solve them.
After a long back and forth, we realized that unfortunately there are no "simple" solutions.
What does this mean for Sons of Valhalla?
We have already started to remove and renew some systems. We focus on replay value, creating a more fun battle experience and a new progression system.
This whole restructuring will take time. Time we actually don't have, because we had planned to already work on additional content by now. But if a game isn't good enough, you have to change something or you'll go down, which would be a shame for you, the players, because many of you expected a better game, and for us as developers, because our future as game developers depends on it.
We kindly ask you to give us the time to give the game a way better foundation for further content - and most important: a future! We appreciate the support we got and the valuable feedback we received!
