Serpent Warlock
Today we want to share a story, maybe a legend...
Before the conquest of Mexico, a boy was born in San Andrés Chinantla, the modern-day state of Puebla. He would be called Xiuhcoatl, which means jade serpent, after one of the most beautiful stones in North America, but which is also the name for the mythical weapon on the god Huitzilopochtli.
From a very young age, the boy displayed magical abilities: it is said that he was born from the earth while illuminated by the stars and that he was immortal. It is also said that, while still in diapers, he would fade and reappear as a snake, playing tricks and pranking everyone he met.
His father was a successful merchant, while his mother was a known priestess.
Xiuhcoatl would live to protect his people.
