Wisdom of Our Elders
Today we are showing you a concept art for an older healer you will encounter in Mictlan.
The wise elders will have more ingredients available and maybe more potions and recipes to craft. In this design, we rely on a fantasy look, equipping them with a staff that they use to invoke magical powers in some special rituals, asking for the gods' intervention. For example, a ritual for Tlaloc to summon a hailstorm, or a ritual for Huehueteotl to summon a rain of fire.
This design is still a WIP, but you know what to expect in Mictlan: you'll have to find these elder healers and uncover their secrets.

The oral tradition is very important for the Mesoamerican cultures. The elders are the keepers of history, and their word is respected and honored.
In this other piece of concept art, you can see an elder telling all sorts of stories. He bears battle scars as if he is carrying the weight of war and history on his shoulders while hiding the truth behind his penetrating eyes.
In Mictlan you’ll have to seek these characters to get information about the myths and ancient traditions, maybe to find a special temple or to summon a deity.
