Black Temple
Today we are presenting concept art pieces of the Black Temple, right out of the imagination of our talented artist Mauricio Pampin.
In this temple, Micltantecutli’s priests would worship him by sacrificing prisoners.
We can see where the points of interest will be located in the temple, like the sacrificial table or Mictlantecuhtli’s effigy, as well as the scale of the walls and columns in relation to the player’s character.
In order to accomplish this kind of works, our artists need to carry extensive research on pre-Columbian architecture, and then mix reality and historical accuracy with the dark fantasy elements that will give this place a surreal, frightening look.
