Dear community of Mictlan, today we present you a concept art piece showing a priest impersonating Chaac, Mayan god of rain.
An important part of Mayan religion was the embodiment of deities and animals during rituals that took place on important religious dates, or in events such as ball games. In such events, the performers used to wear masks, head ornaments and scepters that represented lightning to impersonate the deity Chaac.
