Statue: god Xiuhtecuhtli
Have a good day, community of Mictlan.
Today, we have this WIP of a stone statue of the god Xiuhtecuhtli.
Considered as the “Father of the Gods”, Xiuhtecuhtli was the god of fire, daytime and heat, as well as Lord of volcanoes in Aztec mythology.
Stone statues of this deity, which commonly showed him sitting down, with his arms crossed and wearing a bifurcated headdress, were buried as an offering.
Because of that, many of these statues have been found in the excavation zone of the Templo Mayor of Tenochtitlan.

We are launching our Kickstarter campaign soon! (have you registered yet? It only takes a minute!)
