Dual Teocallis
Good day, travelers of Mictlan.
The Mexica expansion through the Mesoamerican territory came hand in hand with the construction of dual teocallis, where the most important gods of the Mexica pantheon - Huitzilopochtli and Tlaloc - were worshiped, as a way of ideological imposition over the tributaries.
As it was usual after every conquest, the gods of the subdued people were taken to Tenochtitlan as “captives” and then dual temples dedicated to the mentioned gods were built.
There are archeological remains of these temples of similar measurements to the Templo Mayor, such as the one of Santa Ana Acatitlan, which served us as a model for this WIP, to which we added some color tests.
