Our design team has brought you these WIP of the Tlahuelpuchis, whose design is based on Coyolxauhqui.
The Tlahuelpuchis were common women that came into their powers after their first moonblood, although they could only achieve transmutation into an animal through practice.
Tlahuelpuchis (also known as the “shining incense burner”) were considered naguals or witches, since sometimes they were seen as large fireballs. Today, they are associated with vampire women, since they feast on their victims’ blood, usually little children, who are marked by bruises and the bite of their fangs.
